Will it just be mid uncslop if I've already played other roguelikes? I've been tricked by many uncs with this console
>>731047942then try forming your own opinion for once in your life
>>731047942I mean the game is pretty straight forward in it's gameplay loop, you'll find out quick if you like it or not.
For any Azure Dreams bros out there, look up second tower. Theres a patch that unlocks a second tower with 100 floors found recently.
>>731047942is this english?
It is unc gold my friend.
>>731047942Stop talking like a negroid baboon and I might tell you.
>>731047942the idea of playing Azure Dreams is better than actually playing Azure Dreams. You may as well play Siralim or something instead
>>731049162Holy shit I had no idea. I loved this game as a kid, it sucks that I've never seen a game similar too it. I always get the urge to come back to it every so often but I don't anything to play it on, really need to figure out how to emulate ps1 shit
>>731047942dont use quick saves otherwise the game will be over very quickly and youll miss out on the monster training and town aspects
>>731047942Is a mystery dungeon, but this one hates your fucking guts and wants to see you dead + you get some cool monsters and shit to help you.Yes, it is a bit difficult so it requires some mystery dungeon and classic roguelike experience, which translates to USE YOUR FUCKING ITEMS CORRECTLY, YOU FUCKING HUMONGOUS RETARD
I probably have thousands of hours in this game, and I just found out that you can feed magic balls to monsters to teach them the spell from the ball if it's got more than 10 charges
>>731055129whatThen again, I probably missed a bunch of game mechanics when I was playing it, so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised that I missed some mechanics. Apparently, most people didn't realize you could shove monsters back into your bag to save their MP and could send them back home to get some more inventory room.
>>731049162I'm still waiting for someone to patch in the voice overs from the japanese version too
>>731055234I replay through the game every couple years, and somehow I keep learning new shit about it every timeHere's a few extra tips that you might miss if you don't spend your time on old forums:>Nyuel monsters (the horses) can eat any type of grass or fruits to regain 50MP, which pretty much guarantees you having a mob out at all time, moreover, they can learn deHeal, meaning you put that shit on AI 4 or 5 and you get a mob that's very easy to maintain and can heal itself and you whenever you're low>Kids/Dragons eat metal in that same way, anything metal goes, so even coins you find in the tower give them back 50MP >Pickets can eat anything, but as good as their talent sounds, they're absolutely fucking trash stat wise and they're not worth investing into for any reasons>Some of the weapons and shields can't rust, diamond shield is usually the most picked option (due to starting at +6DEF) but the mirror shield is also very very good, because it's got an innate spell parry passive which sends back spells towards the attacker (tho watch it if you have a mob that can heal you, more often then not their spell will then miss and get sent back their way), gold sword is only +1 but one of the only weapons that doesn't rust, trained wand being the other one (and supposedly wands buff your magic attacks, but in my testing I found that it's fucking bullshit)>MANOEVAs are also pretty OK mobs because their transformation spell also keeps track of their current MP, so if they start at 70 and you transform them, then use them for the level and take them back to your bag while they're still transformed, their MP goes back to 70, so if you get a manoeva to a high level enough, it can easily carry you through most of the early tower (they also learn a healing spell too), pay attention they don't reach 0 MP while transformed, or else they'll fall asleep still (probably a bug)
>>731055804Since I replayed it a few weeks back, the fact that some monsters can regain so much MP really trivializes the game, sadly, and on the other hand it's really hard to keep other monsters out for a long time, it really makes me wish this system was developed a bit more and more mobs had specific diets like this to facilitate keeping them out for longer periods of time, and the balance in general is so crazy that once you get specific mobs then there's 0 reason to ever use anything else, which is sad tooI tried leveling up a troll because I got lucky and got an egg on my second run and I don't think I ever gave them a go, and it was fun, but since they only got 65MP and no way to keep them up for long (even tho I fused it with a cyclone), it just turned out to be a waste of time, idkI love the game, and in the grand scheme of things the balance is pretty okay, especially for your first few casual runs, but now I'm at the 'I can just break the game pretty easily' point and it's hard for me to have as much fun as I had before, sad
