Probably a few years more, they lost the steam. It's funny that Silent Hill, which looked like a dead project will be decompiled in a few months

I wouldn't hold my breath, that project is unironically a mess.
they aren't focusing solely on the ps1 they got the psp and sega saturn version as well and it looks like developer attention is split
plus they pulled some license fuckery with AGPL instead of CC0 or MIT so some people got pissed and left because why would you try to apply a copy left license to game code you technically don't even own ( an argument could be made for the decomp tools themselves but whatever )

IIRC they found out that PSP version doesn't have compilation optimizations, unlike PSX, so all tooling was changed to make it the main version, but they lost time and people

Even when it does get finished that doesn't equal an instant port, the decomp is just getting readable c code to recompile into the base game binary. Has there been any decompiled psx games yet? The 64 games as far as I know have a shared library for reimplementing the graphics and sound, those tools might not even exist for the ps1 graphics library yet.
