I think that the real problem is that you are tech illiterate and don't let yourself learn how to use technology out of fear of associating with troons or jeets.

You can pull up task manager on a fresh boot of either Win10 or Win11 and see a lot of useless bullshit running that does literally nothing for you as an end user. Which only compounds the issue of ram on unoptimized games. Its one thing if a game needs 12gb of ram to run properly, but it is another thing if it is your OS that needs that much on start up.

Seriously, you can give linux a try or if you want to stay on windows learn how to debloat it (uninstall lots of programs, telemetry, and other misc processes that don't do anything for you). I don't think it can be stressed just how unoptimized modern windows is. I disabled the telemetry processes on my machine and freed up around 400mb of ram when idle.

I use it for video games, I do everything else on Gentoo. It's good for playing games, but I've been gaming for years on Linux and it was also really good for playing games. I think it matters mostly for multiplayer games or specific games like SS13/Elona/Distant Worlds: Universe etc.
