No need to worry about RAM or GPUs. In 2030 all games will run natively in 240p at 10fps and DLSS 6.0 will be upscaling them to 8k and giving us stable 360fps. Also, nvidia won't abandon the GPU sector completely, they'll surely keep re-releasing RTX2060s and RTX3060s so gamers aren't left without computers.
The future looks bright.

i just want this one cool thing nvidia is doing. this is actually really good tech we need. apparently they're making hardware agnostic too, so amd and intel can use it as well.
>>
>>731059523
Oh, I get it, so we have to textures that aren't quite as good as the original source, but damn, they are over 50x smaller so they take up tiny amounts of storage and working memory, leading to less capacity if we implement tech like this in a game and run on much less VRAM?

Something done during development and not on the fly like superscaling?
>>
>>731061407
4k textures*
And using less storage capacity.
Fuck me for not proof reading in my excitement
>>
>>731058763
unironically, if game logic itself can be interpolated without fault - a very hefty task, then I would accept that future gladly.
DLSS is good. Interpolating pixels from a dither is smart and good, and it will get better every single generation, and really shouldn't need much improved hardware.

The problem is devs are just going to latch on to this shit, extending their bullshit ever further until even the prospect of 240 base resolution is implausible.
Fuck 'em. NV isn't the bad guy. They aren't good. But every single dev needs to be denied anything more than DX9 era hardware until they learn how to make 1080p 60fps games, minumum. And they don't get to keep their game dev license unless their games running on DX10+ era hardware are running 1080p 120fps minimum. 0.1% lows below 120 and no second chances. Right to jail.

Poorfags who never owned a good GPU like to use hyperbole in regards to DLSS. It's breddy gud.
t. upscales from 1440p (which you can't render at) and framegens from 100+ fps (which you can't render at)

correct. except said tech will require the latest rtx gpu for as little as $4000
>>
>>731061407
yeah. so right now the biggest vram killer is textures, specifically big ones. one 4k texture can hit 60mb, now imagine all the textures needed for a material. color map, normal map, metal map, roughness map, etc. suddenly you're hitting every object hitting 100mb, which will take out ram very quick. you lower the resolution of some of the maps, or all of them, and you save space. with this, a 4k image is smaller than a 1k image, which means we can start putting really big detailed textures on things that are normally using tiny muddy textures, or huge 8k textures or main characters, taking up less space than the old 4k textures.

Did you know that with a 1060 SC and 16GB RAM you can play almost any video game released that is actually worth playing on settings ranging from medium to ultra! Stop buying memecards, Anon.

that's what investors think, and that's exactly why the bubble will deflate wiping out trillions.

i know what it is, i've been using it. it's a neat little assistant, and it makes dumb memes. 5 years later, it still does that. investors are still waiting for the 500 billion to turn into a trillion dollars by pressing the ai button. when they all realize they got swindled by a guy that said
>i'm gonna use 1 trillion dollars to build an ai then ask it how to make 2 trillion dollars
the deflation will begin.

I wanted to only upgrade the GPU with a 5060 Ti or 5070 Ti but the performances don't seem that great without X3D CPU.
Good X3D means AM5 MB, DDR5 ram... Too expensive AND it resuires BIOS update, wiring and whatever.

Might as well build a new PC in 1 year or 2. Something like :
- AM6 MB
- AM6 CPU
- RTX 6000 series
-DDR6 ram
It'll also be expensive but at least 100% optimal without bottleneck.

you are retarded, this entire AI push is made for purpose by the cia military and goverment, companies build datacenters so the US goverment doesn't have to invest it's own money, once the bubble pops they will just do bail out for fraction of the price of those datacenters and use them for spying, military simulations and real time battlefield analysis
it's all part of the plan

>NVIDIA has reportedly cut GeForce RTX GPU supply by up to 20%
>According to an insider, NVIDIA has already cut supply of its GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs by around 15 to 20% due to the current memory crisis.
>TL;DR: NVIDIA faces a memory supply crisis impacting GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU availability, with production cuts of 15-20% and potential cancellation of the RTX 50 SUPER Series refresh in 2026. The company is shifting focus to 8GB models like RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti, affecting PC gaming upgrades this year.
