Will point n click adventure games make a comeback?
hidden object games are thriving in the world of casual women's games."Dialogue choice" games are thriving in the form of Dispatch and that kind of game. And there's a constant stream of indie boomerclicker nostalgiabait. This is the modern legacy of old Point and Click Adventures. The idea of a big budget point and click published by Ubisoft/EA/Activision or whatever is dead - the genre is alive and well in its modern forms.
Maybe one day there'll be one that has a story that grabs a huge audience but otherwise it doesn't need to. The genre's doing just fine. Try The Drifter.

you'd think they'd be revived on mobile but that didn't happen
Old Skies won multiple yearly awards which I didn't understand, it was shit and had a bad story.
Is Haligan the greatest vidya protagonist
>>731059638Strong Bad's Dangeresque roomisode triungulate is just enough for me. If that was any longer it would have become tedious. If I play one of those every 4-5 years then that's plenty of point and click for me. The genre peaked during the floppy disk era.
>>731059638Probably not because VNs and modern hardware is way more powerful.
