The sites are basically a bulletin board for advertisement.I don't even know a popular gaming podcast these day's.The live events are a always disappointing and you can get a better 5 minute recap the next day.Hardware is too expensive and even if it's expensive it has hardware and software problems. No new emulator's will be required because consoles have next to 0 exclusives. The modding sites are censored. And they are trying to push live game streaming on everyone and kill whatever is left
>>731060796>Gaming culture is deadHow old are you that you feel that way? Because I'm someone who watches esports and it seems pretty alive to me. I think you just don't participate.
>>731060848Nobody watches eSports I refuse to believe you exist.37
>>731060902>37You're only uh..... 5 years older than me. >Nobody watches eSportsDo you think these views are fake? I watch the events live and there's a chat box you can use, which proves there are people watching.
games nowdays don't feel like they have the passion in them any more. its like if i put in the effort and care, then i'm the sucker. a good example is Outer Worlds (outer wilds?) where a guard's line was "i sure could go for some salt-tuna". i had some in my inventory, but there was no quest option to give it to him. it was just a lazy throwaway line. a good videogame would have put in the effort for at least letting me give it to him.
>>731060902ESports is as gigantic as stupid.
>>731061026>i had some in my inventory, but there was no quest option to give it to himThat's because that kind of reactivity is extra work for the devs. You need to play something with a bigger budget for that kind of thing to be possible.
>>731060979That's not big at all E3 use to get millions of view's.
>>731061187>That's not big at allIt doesn't look big because the video is only 12 hours old. If I find an older video, it has more views. I think the fact that these events happen and E3 doesn't is proof that esports is more popular.
>>731061258and views aside, the game I'm posting videos for is the most played game on Steam. I'm not sure how you can doubt the popularity.https://steamcharts.com/I think you're just out of touch, and that's why you think gaming culture is dead. It's only alive if you watch the events.
>>731061382As someone who spent their life gaming, I can tell you that the culture is alive, and it's just fractured. Want to be part of the Dota 2 community? You should>play the game>watch Dota 2 eventsI don't even play CS2, but I watch the tournaments. If culture feels dead to you, it's because everyone is doing their own thing, and you have to go find them.
>>731060796couldn't care less, even the pre-2000s games are more than enough to last me for a lifetime
>>731061258Ok still not watching people game
>>731061617That's fine. You can post on 4chan for the rest of your life instead. I'm either>gaming>posting on 4chan>watching other people gameYou don't have to do the third. It's like watching sports and not everyone does that. I didn't want to watch until I was in my 30s, and I always wanted to play instead.
>>731060796>gaming>gamers>gaming cultureIt's all fake. Stereotypes and identities created to control and shape the customers. It's a marketing gag. All to sell you overpriced garbage.
>>731061670this is genuinely the ugliest game I've ever seen
>>731060902>37as a zoomunc, your opinion holds no weight
It's centralized to here, Reddit, and YouTube. Even ignoring the wokeness of say, IGN, the bombardment of ads makes the site unusable.
>>731060796Im 39 and I feel like gaming is amazing now.Gaming "Culture" has always been a cancer and Im glad sites like Kotaku or whatever have been destroyed. This board is all I need and youtube is good enough.Fuck people who try to make gaming a personality lmao
>>731063851I miss the early 00s shit, the purepwnage era. It didn't take my whole personality, it was just fun. I'd rather have a dedicated news site that wasn't gay then here.
>>73106079640 oldfag here. Skip AAA games and you will heal. And to be honest, if you only played popular titles, you never had any interest in the medium.
