It's a much faster game, but it assumes you've played every route in 3 houses and doesn't always repeat everything between the games. 3 Hopes explores a lot of stuff about characters that 3 houses didn't (where the line is drawn between Edelgard and the Slithers, what Dimitri is actually like as a king when not being Schizo, what Claude will do when he needs to get his hands dirty to win, etc) so expect it to feel like everyone is a little different just from the shifted focus.
