I love Blue Archive. More oft than not, it's incredibly earnest in it's presentation. Some of the best character writing this side of the 2000s, with some absolutely wild narrative rides. An incrediblly large world that the writers almost always makes it a point to have its moving parts intersect and overlap to reinforce that it's alive. Sure, the gameplay itself isn't anything to write home about; par for the course for gacha off the time. But they made the character actions and models compensate with geatly detailed animations, especially as time went on. And the OST? Beautiful, and surprisingly diverse. Constant Moderato is forever etched in my mind, and always evokes a combination of whimsy, adventure, and contentment. And then you have the characters designs themselves. So unique across all the schools, but all of them having a unique halo which is easily the best design decision that was made.Blue Archive will always be special to me, regardless of how it changes, or the life that demands my attention changes.
