I still think III is the best one. Best atmosphere, best missions, best car physics, open world is big enough but not so big it detracts from the point of the game which is doing missions that revolve mostly around cars and driving (The game is called Grand Theft AUTO)
>>731085825
>>731085930Vice City insists upon itself.
>>731085825Same but gta4.
They're all shit.
>>7310860064 is great but it's missions kind of suck unfortunately. Too much shooty not enough chaotic car stuff
>>731085825GTA iii - best atmosphereGTA vice city - best soundtrack GTA San Andreas - most content GTA 4 - bowling with Roman GTA 5 - uhhhh I guess people like the multiplayer or some gay shit like that
As an overall package III is the best, but gameplay-wise I like VC the best
>>731085825Sorry bro, you spent 0.1 milliseconds in saint mark's, time to blow up.
>>7310861423 is legit unhinged and very difficult which is why I love it.
>>731086118I think VC by far has the shittiest gameplay out of all the GTA games. And is only held up by nostalgia. But you do you.
>>731086290I had to use cheats for the final mission in iii lol I played the entire game normally on ps2 with like 15 fps up until that point
>>731086408Dying in GTA 3 is so punishing. Basically every single mission you have to farm for Armor and plenty of guns and ammo for every mission. It requires you know the map inside and out and where all the shops and pickups are.
>>731086112gta4 has the best misery porn story
>>731086358yeah I feel like the gameplay was shit. Especially running
I SEE PAIN IN YO FUTURE
it certainly isn't the best but it is my favorite.
>>731086629thats why old games suck, they just make you do busywork and tedious shit and call it difficulty.
>>731088691Have to disagree, dying was a real punishment back in the 3D era, that's why doing wacky shit was so fun when you pulled it off.
GUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNS
>>731085825VC SA and 4 had memorable missions and radio stationscan't remember shit about 3
>>731086112>GTA 5 - uhhhh I guess people like the multiplayer or some gay shit like thatActually you can choose different clothes and haircuts for your character, it's amazing
>>731085825There was a crazy amount of immersion I felt playing GTA3 on the PS2 on a CRT. Loved how dirty and degenerate the city was. There was something serene about it,
>HUH NEVA GONNA STOP, NEVA GONNA QUIT, NEVA GONNA STOP, NEVA GONNA QUIT, HUH, NEVA GONNA STOP, NEVA GONNA QUIT, NEVA GONNA DROP THE MICROPHONE, LIKE DIS
>>731085825Is this the one you played first?
>>731085984GTA 4 is really the one that insists upon itself. I say that as a massive 4 apologist. Then again, Vice City and 3 are really juvenile in comparison to 4 and 5/San Andreas to a lesser extent.
>>731090082Oh yeah, the ultra memorable missions of 4 like uhh... the one where you drive some place and kill 1(one) guy. Oh wait... that's every mission.
Best GTA lll playthrough on the internethttps://youtu.be/1CpmOAu-Pb0?si=Y6mxtOkULoaHqk3j
>>731090860>download game about driving cars>wtf I have to drive a car MOOOOM
>>731090860
2 is the best one
>>731086408Always use weapon cheats for the last mission. The non cheating strategies wanted (You) to collect many hidden packages, drive back to your safehouse to pick them up, and then go to the dam for the final mission
>>731085825>best car physics
>>731091385I beat the last mission in re3 on a touchpad without any special strategies
>>731091326they could never get away with this today lmfao
>>731091452It does though. You sound like you haven't played all the GTA games. Even slow shitty cars are fast and feel good to control. The game is arcadey perfection, cars will flip more easily turn more easily are generally faster for lower tiers. It's just plain chaotic and funI will give props to GTA 4 car handling and physics though, its so weighty and satisfying in an odd way.

GTA2 is the best out of all of them but we not ready for that tea yet *sips glass*
>>731092782>fart burp button goated
>>731090082I remember chatterbox.
>>731092782okay grandpatime for your meds
>>7310930864 had integrity 2.0 which was way more hilarious than chatterbox
HEY HEY HEYI'M HOT TONIGHT
>>731086408>>731091385This matched my experience exactly. Got through the whole game normally, was going through hell with the final mission, found out about the hidden packages and safehouse weapons, and just decided to do weapon cheats instead. I probably could've finished it eventually with the hidden sniper and rocket launcher, but I was fed up and didn't care anymore.
>>731092271nta but YOU sound like you haven't played any GTA besides 3 or you're a complete masochistsgetting into car chases in 3 is tedious, either your car gets blown up in 3-4 hits or you get sent flying into the ocean and die from drowningif it weren't for the bulletproof cheetah you can steal I wouldn't have even been able to get through the second half of the game
>>731093594severe skill issue
>>731094239>piss poor game design>uuuh uhhhhh askually its your faultif this was GTA V instead you nostalgia fags would be rightfully shitting on it instead of pretending it passes for good game design
>>731095128i'm not one to say 'skill issue' without reason. you just suck ass.
>>731095223yeah yeah sorry I like my cars to have weight and mass and not be feather light cardboard shitboxes SA is the best 3d era GTA regardless
>>7310858252/IV > Chinatown Wars > 3/VC/SA > Online > GTA1 > V
>>731095636>london not listed
>>731095281>make XBOX HUEG airport, beach and army base>you can beat the story without ever setting foot in any of themVCS made way better use of the map
>>731095718Didn't play London or the Stories games.
>>731095636
>>731088691Just lick the yellow paint and keep your retardation to yourself, zoomoid
>>731092409Eternal
>>731093594>>731095128I'm with you anon, GTA games aren't always the most balanced or polished experiences across the board, but 3 in particular came off particularly sloppy. I liked it overall, but when the biggest threat of a long boat mission is not getting glitched into the water while returning to the docks, or when car NPCs are perfect at destroying your car quickly but can almost effortlessly get trapped permanently in a corner, the difficulty ends up feeling superfluous and unintentional.I still like it more than V cuz I prefer a dogshit action sequence I have to jank my way through over 50 hours of intermittent busywork simulator.
>>7310861124 being the one to introduce a cover system is overlooked. Maybe because the cover system is a bit clunky, but it was a big deal at the time. Also I was impressed by the grafix at the time, even though they didn't age particularly well
>>731093249I SAID HEY HEY HEYWHAT YOU GOTTA SAY
