Just saw the build. I'm shocked. So fuck it, have to know what someone else not sucking Todd's dick thinks of this.>Only set in Hammerfell per se>Set in Craglorn/Anvil region during Aldmeri invasion. Battle lines with Kvatch landmark visible, but frontline impassible. Same with Redguard battle and Nord battle line up North.>Emil (I assume from comments made) raged against the scope of a full Hammerfell, and as they descoped they fell in love with this scale.>Anvil region has a "Don Quixote vibe like the Witcher expansion">Craglorn focuses on "star people">Craglorn was selected to explore a more mysterious, deeper view on canon. Something that doesn't have to answer any common debates on lore, but also something with such minimal lore they can make it all up brand new.>Main plot is a war between "star people" and Thalmor with "a couple other small factions intertwined">Fast travel ships, but buggy and may be cut due to awareness of Starfield backlash. Water is way harder than ladders and space. You sail near harbors and fast travel between them.>Some Hammerfell locations planned as port-only city areas with maybe limited procgen countryside but in a box like Starfield "but we'll make the max bigger so no one will ever hit the invisible wall except bored YouTubers".Everything else sounded extremely vanilla. Sort of like a shitty demake of 3 large Oblivion/Skyrim DLCs smashed together.Oh well.I literally heard someone explain that other possible areas "had too much lore" like related to Orcs, or those wild men from Skyrim, or Redguards, or Imperials. The word was "blank canvas is easier."
cool
Cool, another one of these. Surely this one's the one.
Just saw the new starfield build. I'm shocked. It's still shit.
OP you could have spent your afternoon learning to play an instrument or writing yuri fanfiction, instead you chose to write this garbage and posted an ESO image. You should be fucking ashamed of yourself.
You are lying, I am an actual former concept artist for Bethesda that got to work on TES 6 during preproduction before leaving. There is a very easy way to test, tell me what is weird about Crown clutter and architecture, it is hyper specific and impossible to miss.
>>731089439I don't work for BGS I was just in a meeting, but based on art I saw I was expecting to see Arab looking stuff but it looked weirdly Bulgarian or Transylvanian or something like that.
>>731089643You are retarded. There is a hyper specific thing about redguard architecture in TES 6 that looks nothing like ESO or previous depictions, and it is very obvious because that element is not based on any existing culture and it is borderline goofy.
I believe you because none of this is interesting.
>>731089764Sorry I wasn't like focusing on the mold and trim in the couple of screenshots I saw. What is it dicks covering everything? What are you on about?
I just farted

>>731088167Is this worth reading or should I wait until a YouTube grifter summarises it?
>>731090919Are you literate?
>>731088167torn between "OP is obviously a lying retard" and "this is actually retarded enough to be true"
>>731090065The annoying part was how low the ambition is. They acted like the less going on in the game, the less complication, the better work they could do.I'd compare it to the two Skyrim expansions melded together, with barely a thread of story connecting them, and one of the smaller Morrowind expansions on top in the form of a couple port cities.I'd guess this is going to be a bit like 3 of Starfield's main side storylines but a bit shorter and that's about it.Each region has 2-3 cities and you can ride to its relevant nearby settlements, POIs within 2-5 minutes, but to ride between the cities it takes around 15 minutes of procgen content. As for that, the system is working well and some cool looking geography too, but they've decided to "defang" some of the theming because of complaints that Starfield's POIs were "too repetitive" i.e.: the same pirate base over and over. Their solution is to make the procgen dungeons MORE generic so even though it's the same bandit lair it's not the SAME EXACTLY WITH THE SAME STORY AND NOTES bandit lair. They're adding ways to procgen some of the layout and gear distribution so it doesn't seem like EXACTLY the same lair, even though it is.Like, there's just one bandit lair, with procgen tunnels for 5-6 rooms. One. Outside of quest specific hand designed lairs. They reused some bespoke dungeons from Starfield as POI locations and they don't want to do that again. POI procgen dungeons are max generic.
>>731091172This guy's a liar:>>731068291Just board bait. You can tell I'm legit because /v/ contrarians are bored by the leak. Sadly.I can't leak what the plans for BGS are as I would actually be legally liable it a bad way for that (to personal lawsuits).Microsoft will not pursue NDA on this shit though, so I'm good.My personal opinion based on no confirmed information is that Microsoft has no expectations for TES6 whatsoever almost lower than the Oblivion remake in terms of how they're treating it. "If it sells it sells"
>>731091510>My personal opinion based on no confirmed information is that Microsoft has no expectations for TES6 whatsoever almost lower than the Oblivion remake in terms of how they're treating it. "If it sells it sells"lying retard confirmed
>>731091367Why not just do the dungeons like in Daggerfall?
how many fake tes leak threads do we need up at once
>>731092178I never played that one. Maybe they are?
>>731088167I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT OP IS FULL OF SHIT, THATS ALL I CAN SAY.
>>731089439>>731089764Are you the previous leaker who insisted the Crowns were obsessed with circles?
>>731091510>Microsoft has no expectations for TES6 whatsoever almost lower than the Oblivion remake in terms of how they're treating it. "If it sells it sells"Biggest lie I have heard in my life. Absolutely no corporation would think about an IP as valuable as Elder Scrolls this way. TES6 being bad because Microsoft is obsessed with squeezing more money out of it? Sure. TES6 being bad because Microsoft doesn't care about making money? Literally when the fuck has that ever happened?
>>731095781Like I said, it was just my "opinion". What I mean is that major shake ups are coming and the IP will be used in big ways. But as for BGS, expectations are not high and it feels like they "have" to let Todd make "one last game."The push is to descope and just get it over with.
>>731088167Very creative. I hope it is this shitty because then even the normies will baulk at it.You fucked up though cos Craglorn (which is some wanky ESO slop) is landlocked and nowhere near Anvil.
>>731099236The map I saw looks kind of like that but Kvatch (the "Oblivion city" right?) was more to the right and the map included the gray area between "gold coast" and craglorn on your map. Craglorn didn't go as far to the left.I don't know what to say. I'm not a student of Elder Scrolls geography. That's what I was shown. I do remember that body of water in between the two places though, so that explains a lot. I was wondering what that was. That "Hew's Bane" or something around there was where one of the port cities you can visit was.
>>731097493Again, this is retarded. Microsoft would not let BGS steal all the wind from their sales on their biggest IP. If BGS was hellbent on something smaller scale, Microsoft would demand they call it something else and give TES6 to a more ambitious team.
>>731099236>>731100346So it kinda looked like this. There were three "front lines" that are natural barriers to the world.I know there's a bay between High Rock and Hammerfell, so I was confused, but now I see where the bay is on the map I saw. That's where most of the ship combat is planned.
>>731088167>I literally heard someone explain that other possible areas "had too much lore" like related to Orcs, or those wild men from Skyrim, or Redguards, or Imperials. The word was "blank canvas is easier."Bethesda wants TES to be extremely cookie cutter fantasy so normalfags buy it so this checks out
>>731101449It's retarded. ESO fucking builds new lore in every region of Tamriel, they've never been afraid of retconning preexisting lore before, and now with their most anticipated release they're setting their game in a deliberately uninteresting region so they don't conflict with established lore? It's bullshit. It has more telltale signs like scapegoating Emil even though it's confirmed Alan Nanes is the creative director.
>>731089764spirals and purple crystals
>>731101796Zenimax Online is not BGS.BGS top devs want the cleanest blank canvas they can get and a very focused simple main quest that, I quote (paraphrase), "Doesn't stray too far from the elevator pitch so we don't alienate a more inclusive audience."
>>731101796>EmilI assumed it was him, like I said. I didn't hear who was saying this, just that "the team" had that philosophy and I know Emil's reputation.I'm not involved with staffing things nor would I say anything about it as that would indeed get me in trouble.
>>731102686>>731102768No one is falling for this shit man. Just give it up.
