Forgot to mention I am almost finishing Freedom Fighters, it is a great game. I have enough charisma to lead like 8 troops and they massacre everyone lmao.

Might play Hitman blood money again after this.
>>
I played expedition 33. I have around 25 hours in it. Having fun atm. French hebe is cute.
Also playing some diablo 2 pvp
>>
>>731090509

I just beat Kirby Planet Robobot literally minutes ago. People said its one of the best in the series, and they were completely right. Completely trounces Shart Allies on all fronts. Gonna play Triple Deluxe a bit later.
>>
>>731091324
this is the only kirby game I ever played and it was fucking great. I should play more kirby games
>>

Left 4 Dead 2, and yes. I'm currently ysing a few sound mods and skins, learned to script some stuff on my own as well, qnd I'm having a good time with it. Most players on Realism Expert are really bad though, they have no game sense nor tactical inclinations.

No, I didn't, but I'll probably beat NSMB Wii today.

64 is good, haven't really played many others so I can't comment on them, avoid amazing mirror like the plague though, worst designed metroidvania I've ever played.

Hytale
Solid for an early access game. Very jank and very unfinished but I had fun building my house, traveling the world and exploring the depths for rescources, doing some dungeons (the rewards were shit but the fun is what counts) and of course killing a lot of enemies. I hope the game will improve in a few years.

Devil Spire.
A very fun short medium difficulty permadeath Daggerfall style action RPG with parry based combat, custom build making, a kick button and a simple but cool item combination system.
>>
yes
>>
>decided to try modern games instead of only playing /vr/
>loaded up 6 different games this week
>they all pissed me off so badly i stopped playing after 15 minutes

are they all like this? all cutscenes and handholding and no actual gameplay?
>>
>>731094305
most of them, unless you are playing indie games. however some just have really long tutorials probably and maybe 15 minutes isn't really that much time to truly experience what a game ahs to offer.

what were the games btw???

I've played Batman: Return/Revenge of the Joker, all versions (Game Boy, NES, SNES and Genesis), the SNES prototype of the 1st Batman film adaptation, and Garfield: Lost Levels on Genesis, that was thought to be lost for years as it was a SEGA Channel exclusive. All of these were very fun.
>>
>>731094305
You are not meant to play normie dudebro AAA sludge.
These exist for the jews to extract money from the normies, not to actually play them.
You are meant to mostly play indie games and old games and maybe the odd game like Baldurs Gate 3.

>>731094904
always good to see people playing older games

I've been playing cyberpunk on my new pc for the first time, it has been okay but a lot of the writing and stories borrow HEAVILY from Gibson's work. The gameplay is meh but the city is fun to look at.

I have also been watching longplays while walking on the stair master, I just finished all of DQ5 yesterday (about 18 hours), now I'm onto FFX. Overall I'm still trying to find some good resolutions for the new year still, does anyone have any good recommendations (or resolutions of their own for my inspiration?)
>>
>>731095762
first time I ever seen anyone ask for resolution recommendations.

To me this year I am trying to but a new apartment, lose weight, finish my post graduate, get a new motorbike and go back to learning Japanese.

Just a few shmups I'm bad at including Galaga. Not sure how I'm so bad at Galaga when it's so straightforward and one of my dad's favorites. Looking to play more stuff from my Winter sale haul and get more into emulation soonish though.

>>731091627
If you love Robobot you'll at least like every other game Shinya Kumazaki (current head of Kirby at HAL) was in charge of, so Super Star Ultra, Return to DreamLand (and its Switch remake which I genuinely think is better), Triple Deluxe, Star Allies, and Forgotten Land. Robobot is one of the better ones he's worked on, to many it's the best, but they're all pretty similar in style. Star Allies has the weakest main campaign but its fanservice and strong post-game make it one that might be best played last.
>>
I finished Disco Elysium and almost finished my 99th PSX game; Vandal Hearts :)
I've been enjoying both games, now i am starting Baldur's Gate 3 and trying to choose which game to give the prestigious 100th PSX game.
>>
>>731096491
>the prestigious 100th PSX game
do you have a list of all the games you have beaten
>>

>first time I ever seen anyone ask for resolution recommendations.

honestly I love resolutions, because it is always so inspiring seeing people move towards a better future. My kryptonite is those people who snarkily say "heh, why do you need NYE, just start on any day of the year!" then proceed to just never progress in life. That cynicism gets under my skin hardcore..

What kind of bike are you looking at getting? I'm thinking about taking my MSF class soon so I can ride when I'm in Asia. Not sure if I would get one in the US, everyone tells me it is extremely dangerous

It cannot be as dangerous as Brazil.
Anyhow I was thinking of getting an Interceptor / Continental GT 650 but the insurance for it is pretty expensive. Still trying to decided on that and looking for other options. I want to be able to service the motorbike myself because having to pay to repair something I only use for recreation is kind of annoying. If not Ill just get an Yamaha AEROX 180 scooter

I do actually, any suggestions? backloggd.com/u/Miami_Ville/games/

Feel free to ask me about any of these games, or do yourself a favor and look up the trailers for them on Youtube. Except for Twilight Monk, I'm uninstalling that one tonight because it's boring.
>>
>>731096816
I was chatting with some other anon on /v/ and he was hyping up all of the japanese bikes, they look pretty cool too.. Not sure if they're readily available down in your region??

Dino Crisis 2, RayStorm, or Panzer Bandit.

>>731096987
How's Vital Shell hold up past the demo's content?
>>
>>731097148
Panzer Bandit looks nice, added it to my backlog!
Dino Crisis 2 is a good suggs, i was also thinking Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy 7 and such.
>>
>>731096865
you covered a lot of the basics there so it is hard to suggest something.
Try giving any of these a go.

Thanks for the suggestions, added to my backlog!

Now I'm deliberating what on my backlog to play next

been playing risk of rain 2 doing those trails as mercenary. i need another game like it

>>
>>731097148
I never played the demo, I went in blind cause I was instantly sold by the trailer. There's not really any major differences between the five stages, just a change of scenery. Although the difficulty increase is noticeable. All five characters are fun to play as, and I almost got S rank on the last stage with Meteor. Right now I'm 58/66 in achievements after roughly thirteen hours.
>>
>>731099320
Good enough for me. I'm stalling out trying to 1cc some shmups so a slightly-above-braindead Vampire Survivors clone with nice aesthetics should be nice.
>>
>>731100112
So you know, a patch was recently done to make it so you don't die quite SO fast. I played it when it was just three days newly released so it was easy to go from feeling invincible to suddenly getting wiped out in half a second.

Also the soundtrack is fucking amazing, listen to it outside of play.
>>
>>731090273
Cute little dreamcast. I should play a dreamcast game today.
>You did play video games this week, right

>Ninja Gaiden 4
Almost kino and will always play it, you can feel it's low budget but they nailed everything important.
>Astral Chain
8.5/10 so far, this is the game that makes me feel like Platinum didn't try enough for NG4, it's so much better produced
>Wipeout Fusion
I love this series to death but never bothered with this one in particular. Now I know why, lmao, it plays more like a slower Fzero than wipeout.
>Armored Core Nexus/4FA
replaying them, still kino, especially 4FA. I expect a new Armored Core announced this year! and I will laugh at the soulsfags complaining about it
>Atelier Yumia
It's meh, I'll just rush the fuck of the story and be done with it. Literally only playing because of Yumia and Nina, I have the rare adult woman fetish.
>Stranger of Paradise
I respect jack's strength! I think I'm at the end. Team Ninja makes the only good soulslikes.

I didn't get far in NG4 just from being busy around its release, but I kept feeling like it was both not NG enough and not Platinum enough which made its control feel like an odd midpoint. I'll probably go back one day but Black/Sigma 1 & 2/2 Black are still better to me in terms of NG and it's probably a mid-tier Platinum game overall. On another note, I didn't like Astral Chain's gameplay at all. Great aesthetics and fun characters but the gimmick wears thin, damage numbers over enemy reactions sucks, the performance is shoddy, and I hated the level design which is rarely something that annoys me in action games. Outside of straight-up bad games like Babylon's Fall and Mutants in Manhattan it's the weakest game Platinum's put out IMO. Bayo Origins does its "each stick is a different character" gimmick significantly better.

Yeah that's fair everyone get a different experience out of NG, for me it just feels close enough to NG2, something I can't even say about 3RE, and that's good enough.
I don't treat Astral's levels too badly since I don't actually expect a full on action game design from it anyway. I'm a bit biased because I love fighting alongside a "mecha"-like thing, shit is fun and on PC there's no performance issues, heh.
