The progression system is just as bad as Minecraft's. You can still rush through the whole system in one sitting but they slapped a band aid onto it with the arbitrary resource requirements to upgrade crafting tables. That's something a patch isn't going to be able to fix, they would need to rework it from the ground up.I think Vintage Story does progression much, much. much better than both but that sort of incremental micro-progression definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea. I can't see a way to fix the current progression system.

The underground worldgen is fucked. There doesn't seem to be a proper biome override so you end up with shit floating all over the place and structures exploding when you mine something near to them which is a really big problem when the biome that overrode the other one is a giant chasm.
