Just tried the demo for the first time. First off, Mina is a Mary Sue. She's a genius inventor, expert mechanic, explorer, and "Hollower" (whatever that is) all at once. Despite being the protagonist she has the ugliest sprite in the game. Jumping and digging being tied to the same button feels like ass. I remember somebody complaining about the game lacking borders, and that is correct. There are UI elements placed at the very edges of the screen, which is bad UI design. The game is painful on the eyes because of this. The game does not teach you its basic controls (why?). The digging gimmick is difficult to use and not intuitive at all. The game is far too complicated. For example, it does not in any way need a dedicated estus button. The game is somewhat enjoyable when it pretend to be Zelda but all the additional crap on top does not work.The game is quite polished but the gameplay itself is not good. It's also much uglier and badly art-directed than it should be. This feels like a polished /agdg/ game, not something from a professional studio. They should have gotten critical feedback way, WAY earlier in development to fix this shit.
