>>731115259Very much so! Just beat it this evening after 30 hours. I went into it expecting a fairly by-the-numbers King's Field style RPG but had a phenomenal time. Skill system is simple enough to be intuitive but with enough depth to reward both investment and investigation of ways to apply your playstyle to the task at hand, the writing is clever, the scenarios are interesting, and the world is visually awesome with lots of neat vistas of the floating islands. Exploration's great, lots of neat equipment and spells. I will say that I did a pacifist run with a bunch of sneaking, sprinting past enemies, and talking my way out of fights. Some people say the combat is a bit lackluster but I can't speak to that one way or the other. What I can speak to is that I got my run speed high enough that the game struggled to load when I had all my buffs going, and my jump height to the point I could skip puzzles by going over walls or across chasms. A lot of the quest design is flexible enough to accommodate this and I didn't run into any softlocks or crashes in the process, which is more than I can say for some games.

However in that scenario there is no way to actually resolve the quest, so I ended the game with that being the only quest I didn't complete. Why was the crystal goddess such a hard decision for you in particular? I told the truth to Apher, if you have a high charm score you can convince her to help make a new world for the clockwork kingdom with the saboteur though she is pretty depressed about the whole situation.
