Love this game, the biggest issue is its using those bought assets. If youve played a lot of indie games youll know exactly what i mean as soon as you see the in game models. Id love a sequel to this that just uses its own assets and adds a bunch of other playable races and character creation tools.
>>
>Pretty fresh take on a rail shooter where you have to interact with the level you're automatically traveling through while still shooting down enemies to stay safe/maximize score, also the art is extremely cute
>>
>>731137527
Not really anthro but for scaly there's Glyde The Dragon, a 3d platformer with dragon. It hasn't come out yet but there's a lengthy prologue for free. There's also Golden Treasure: The Great Green, a vn about being a dragon. And I guess if you need something more anthro there's Crop and Claw, retro jrpg the like of the first FF in a world inhabited all by dragons, but I really didn't play it.
>>
>Probably the best purely-2D action game I've ever played, tons of original ideas but grounded in some clear inspirations. The art is also insane in a good way, one of the most interesting depictions of Hell I've seen

Rare After Burner/Star Fox-style game from the indie scene with a great visual style and pretty fast-paced gameplay. Despite the name/tags the main campaign is a linear, tailored story with multiple routes/endings and the roguelite mode is a post-game thing to get more from the assets (which is the ideal I think)

It's just a Telltale game but with less budget, more pointless clicking and a even more fucking retarded story.
>Every culprit you choose is correct and you can't catch the actual murderer until the final act because he's lucky lol
>>
>Insanely edgy early-mid 00s teen angst aesthetic but the actual combat mechanics are completely original; manages to have a ton of fluidity while punishing mashing and poor spacing with forced commitment you need a resource to escape from. Platforming and that final boss can be jank and I didn't really pay attention to the story but it's a fun 1-hour playthrough

>>731143171
The dev is making a spinoff that's more Smash Run rather than Subspace, coming somewhat soon since it was apparently a "can I make a game in 3 months" self-imposed challenge.
>>
>Platformer where instead of jumping you kick the little red guy like a ball and he bounces around with physics; I got it because it reminded me of Kirby's Dream Course and there's a little bit of that in there. $10 is a bit steep for what it is though, get it on sale.

>>
>>731147131
Most reviews are shortly after release.
Unless a game hits critical mass of attention, the amount of reviews it has 2 weeks after release will be mostly unmoved 1 year, 3 years or 5 years after release. Only updates or spontaneous attention can really move the needle.

Steam doesn't promote old games because they don't make enough money fast enough.
If a 2020 game is at 500 reviews or less today, it's stuck there. It's not making gangbusters money for Valve to promote it.
If a 2025 game has 500 reviews today, then it's highly likely making lots of money really fast therefore Valve will promote it to even further people.
That's just how it works.

It's decent and feels good on my brain sometimes. I never played much of F.E.A.R. but that's kind of what the game reminds me of. It's kind of like superhot. It has diving, slow motion, wall runing, sliding, ragdoll physics, and all of that with it's shooting mechanics. My only criticism is that it doesn't always feel methodical, but that's partly a matter of player agency.

>>731156995
Yeah. There's not a full story mode or anything (yet) but the general gist is
>shadow stays dead after SA2
>heroes plays out differently enough the eggman finally gives up, fed up with his machines constantly fighting him
>joins tails to work on a new energy source that doesn't rely on living beings
>because eggman's a manchild and tails is a child, the way they test out this power source is by building go karts
There's more tidbits here and there, but the game itself is pretty goddamn fun.
>>
>>731157408
It was on steam, they had to pull it.

The devs did update the base game pretty regularly until last year. I hope they havent given up.
>>
>>731157243
I could never get good at this game even though I loved the concept. I'd grind out the first level for the best rank, get to the second level(it was day time with loads of vertical jumps in like a spiral at the start), never manage to complete then and then give up on it.

It's basically Anno but better with a 1st person mode and set in ancient China. Comfy as h*ck.

Ludosity's entire catalogue honestly but ittle dew were always my favorite of the bunch.
the devs gained a bit of publicity with Slap City which later landed them the Nick all Stars Brawl contract but all their previous games are great
Ittle Dew 1 is pretty much exclusively Sokobans with intentional sequence breaks
Ittle Dew 2 is more like Zelda but again with a great amount of secrets, much more combat focused

>Game acts like it's just a resident evil clone, there isn't even a Clock Tower in this game called Clock Tower, it's just mansion exploration

They just wanted you to think it was a soulless cash-in sequel. Trust me on this one, you don't want spoilers. But I have them here anyway:

Before you're even half done searching the mansion, the motherfucking clocktower appears out of nowhere and bursts out of the ground, destroying the mansion entirely. They included a mansion map full of rooms you never got to see just so you wouldn't expect the twist of the Clock Tower appearing out of nowhere. And that's not the only time they mess with you about what you expected to happen.
>>
>>731162815
One of the best survival horror games of the year. Amusingly enough, I was just talking about Clock Tower, another survival horror game that subverted expectations. Greek Tragedy does a similar sort of thing. It's not your typical survival horror plotline, for sure, but I doubt it's on the level of Clock Tower 3.

>16 GB of RAM and 1660 Super for minimum requirements
I'm just going to assume it's the dev's own build and he didn't know how to properly benchmark the requirements

otherwise, my poor RX570 8GB is going to sweat through the whole thing
>>
>>731163270
>>731163161
If I had to describe the two games as movies, I would go with: Greek Tragedy is Scream, a horror movie with an above average villain, but Clock Tower 3 is Signs. It seems completely retarded and shouldn't work as well as it does, but wow does it ever draw you in.

>>731163864
I like games that try new things rather than tired old formula. How many times do we need to see the scary mansion exploration? You can keep the gameplay mostly the same, but in other areas you should try new stuff.
>>
>>731163342
Seems interesting, but a 10% discount for a 2 year old indie game is pretty lame.
>>
>>731162128
Finished it yesterday and have been thinking about it on and off since then.
I was fulling expecting Prava to kill herself, but not under the circumstances that she did. Being relatively broken mentally, especially by the end of chapter 2, I can't really say she deserved anything.
The bigger question is at what point did she start getting manipulated. She seemed fairly calm at learning some of the "truth" of their world. I guess thats also down to her only living for Kan, nothing else mattered.
Fuck man, I want chapter 3 as soon as possible, I need to know how deep this goes and how much knowledge the Eshaan council has.

The praise isn't that high if you qualify it with "survival horror". There are only so many per year, what else would I pick? Definitely not Heartworm. Bye Sweet Carole isn't what you would typically consider Survival Horror. Carnival Massacre and One Last Toast were too short. Echoes of the Living and Flesh Made Fear are the only real contenders but they are pretty straightforward clones. Originality wins the day, in the end, but if you wanted the best game at copying Resident Evil, then yeah, it's Echoes of the Living for REmake and Flesh Made Fear for PS1 titles.

Visual novel with cute nuns, great sense of humor, horror elements, and the premise is surrounding the mysterious murder of one of the sisters

the protag is an Anchoress, someone who was locked up in a cell under the monastery for 20 years in order to do nothing but study the bible and write transcripts. She is let loose to join the monastery because the superior nun believes of the sisters is responsible for the murder and wants the protag to help her out

the nuns are also very curvy

it still boggles my mind how much positive reception this one has received. I got the demo way back, and it was an almost 2 hour long introduction where barely anything happened in a generic forest with nothing but corridors while you're attacked by zombies that pose zero threats. Does it ACTUALLY get good later on?

It's very enjoyable if you're in the mood for what it's offering (Goemon-flavored linear 3D Action platformer from ex-Konami devs that have wanted to work on Goemon again for decades). I think it's a bit long but I was going for collecting most things as I went along.
