Why didn't >you people tell me about this kino?
>>

I don't have brain problems.
>>
>>731133331
I did tell you it was shit
>>
Because it's a game you need friends for so nobody here has played it
>>
i love this game
>>
>>731133468
It's perfectly fine solo except for the bullet sponge final boss
>>
We had quite a few fantastic threads about it while everyone played through. Highly recommend, friend or not, but it does have an ending, so it'll probably be hard to get threads going about it since most people finished already.
>>
/v/ shits and pisses itself over hunger bars and crafting.
>>
>>731133331
People bring it up semi regularly
>>
So I was pumpin iron the other day...
>>
>>731133680
yeah was great, even survived the people crying about "shills"
>>
>>731133331
very fun game. wish nights were a bit more of a threat and base raids weren't total non-events. time to spend a penny perhaps
>>
We did, you didn't listen.
Now you are late to the party.
It's fine though, the game is perfectly playable solo.
>>
>>731133928
Are there any decent mods for this?
>>
>>731134004
theres a mod that makes the raids more difficult from what ive seen but i havent tried it out
>>
>>731133928
the witches broke a bunch of expensive crafts in my base reeeee
>>
>>731133331
It’s really fun, I’ve finished it now so I’ve done everything and there’s really no incentive for me to do another run, when I do boot it up now it’s usually just to build and decorate my base or set up little camps

Solo is perfectly fine which separates it from actual friendslop. Lets you progress the story at your own pace and you can craft what you want instead of farming stuff again.

If you plan to to play this game Solo i heavily recommend only grabbing what you need.. I see a lot of people burnout becasue they start dismantling everything they find which just grinds the game to a halt..

Also try not to dismantle the rooms aesthetically as you will get bored fast just running through empty rooms and it kills the immersion

If you wanna do building projects think small and cram a lot of stuff into a small space
>>
>>731133772
you look at this UI >>731135196 and tell me it is okay. hell no. i am not playing a game with shit meters. this is a poor man's half life
>>
>>731133468
Simply not true. I've done two playthroughs with my brother and enjoyed them greatly, but I genuinely believe solo is the better experience. It's absolutely mandatory for a first playthrough. Being solo so you can build your base however you want, take your time, experience sections like Flathill alone and a bunch of other stuff just feels really important to me.
>>
>>731135462
i actually have it at like 0.25% or something.. you can actually disable it entirely, which i did at the beginning
>>
>>731135196
>cram a lot of stuff into a small space
That's not really possible if you want to cook, farm.etc though

It was nominated for this year's /v/gas, so people on /v/ are aware of it.
>>
>>731135462
>this is a poor man's half life
The half life comparisons stop at voicelines and a little bit of the art style.
>>
Levels' interconnections and loops are fucking brilliant. Survival mechanics are dogshit
>>
>>731135676
>If you wanna do building projects think small and cram a lot of stuff into a small space.

You need to read it all in its entirety for context..
i didnt say that you'r base should be small but keep the building projects like the image i posted small and simple so that you dont burnout
>>
>>731133772
hunger bars do suck ass objectively. i do not like needing to stop having fun every 30 minutes to click an inventory item and make the bar go back up. survival bars are always either a boring annoyance or a crippling tedium, no inbetween.

>For some reasons I'm still unclear about, Keystone decided to outsource most of our containment duty to India, most likely to cut on cost.
>I was unsurprised then, to find out that containment procedures have been completely overlooked or outright ignored.
>IS-0102 was left in the open, infecting several thousands people, and an small piece of IS-0154 was used as a paperweight in some dubious [REDACTED] call center.
>But what I found particularly more damning, is that their careleness seemed to have undeniably damaged or otherwise destroyed some of those anomalies, potentially permanently.

is it true it runs like shit because its on UE5?

It runs okay, and it would have ran great if it wasn't on UE5.
Disabling Lumen instantly giving an extra 30 or more FPS is insane.

great game, exploring the lab and unlocking new sectors was a consistently great experience

I usually bounce off of survival crafting games because they just go for a generic open world format, but the facility was really excellently designed.

I played this solo completely blind, kinda feel it would've been great with a friend who also going in first time.
Some of the parts were so fucking scary to me tho, like i have bad thalassophobia and i did only one trip to the dam which i survived only by putting the sound off and hugging the ground
>>
felt like the game started to drag on after the halfway point, how did 1.0 turn out?
>>
>>731138903
the fish just wants friends why are you so heartless
>>
>>731134214
why did they add this dumb ass penguin in the game
>>
>>731133331
I tried it but the movement and crafting system just doesn't appeal to me much.
I don't know if it is the fact the introduction is a bit messy, if the movement system is clunky or if the first combat with that dog thing felt like it lasted just a little bit too long... I just don't vibe with it at all.
>>
>>731133331
You are six months late. This game was played extensively and shilled to death over the summer.
>>
>People who hate survival love it
>People who love survival hate it
You cant create a sustainable base and you're not rewarded for creating much of a base anyway. Oh and the spot you chose? 80% of people choose that spot as well.

You explore, raid, bring back, mass-dump items, move out, repeat. It's closer to lethal company than green hell.

volumetric fog is the only problem child, everything else is perfectly fine if you're not on a 10xx card
disabling lumen makes the game look like total shit, and not in the "now it looks authentically like half life" kind of shit, just actual shit
>>
I did, I've made at least three threads about this game in the past.

It was a fun game, better with 1 or 2 friends as long as they are not people who go full retard without reading or listening to anything

It does need a lot of work still, it has potential to be much more fun but a lot of its systems are still too shallow, like the base raids

There should be way more puzzles and situations that you can solve with "science", besides building a nice base lasers are a complete waste that could have been used for a lot of puzzles besides the singular super simple one that you don't even need to do.
i know that the average person today is retarded but not giving more puzzles that needed to interact with the construction system of the game or with more player creativity is a total waste

I'm playing with 2 friends and we are definitely not paying that much attention to the story. A few blurbs and there, but we are skipping some of the exposition.
Game is fun for dicking around with friends though, and it was already decent to begin with, so it's good.

>>
>>731151443
i hosted the server so i could go farm shit by myself without the tard friends using up all my digital gold on mundane shit, and we'd only play together when going to progress the story since they dont have as much interest in grinding/farming
>>
>>731151443
it takes a long time, me and my friend marathon'd it over a christmas week where we just played like 8-9 hours a day and it was about 60 hours, although we'd both done separate playthroughs already
if we actually wanted to speedrun it's not like it'd be hard since multiplayer doesn't scale the spawns if you're already on Apocalyptic
having one person grabbing a mystagogue's aggro while the other blows his back out with a bullcharged carbon pickaxe makes them actually tolerable

>>

Just grab whatever food you find while you explore and make other soups, salt + peas is a good one, there are a ton more

otherwise just plant what you need for some soups that use only vegetables

Xanterium Rice gives 20 food each, and 4 servings per pot. Plus you can stack it unlike soups.
Granted, super tomatoes can be eaten directly without boiling.

Keep in mind that once a plant is ripened it stops consuming water until you harvest it.

>>

I get that, but progression slows down a lot, and the direction of the game opens up such that it seems more directed at multiple teams going in multiple directions
>>
>>731133331
it's good but it's also pretty demanding. by the time you get teleporters to not make navigating the complex a slog, you've basically reached the end.

Yeah, that's why I like them. Just stack them up in the freezer and much 5 or 10 when you get hungry and off you go.
Boiling soups is efficient, but its a lousy use of time when I could be out collecting shiny objects.
