this was so fucked. On my third loop where you're lost and I didnt have the holy mantle yet I was literally WINNING and just wanted to get a beggar to pay out and one of my 20 familiars spazzed out and blew up a bomb which killed me.
Another time I flied into a fucking chest that killed me with spikes.
Playing lost without holy mantle is literally a humiliation ritual.
I havent even unlocked him as a character yet btw

Very. The first few breakdown videos ed did were enough to whet my appetite. I don't think I want to watch the rest though. Best to keep as much discovery in the experience as possible. I think it's great that even while testing he's finding combos he didn't know were possible. Of course the programmer's gameplay was much more efficient and he managed to avoid the stream sabotaging him by just playing well. Idk if I'll sink isaac hours into it, but I'll definitely be in it for a few hundred. Being a trpg it's definitely not going to be as popular, but I'm sure I'm hoping it kicks off enough to get at least a bit of post-game support. Obviously it's been Ed's baby for ages, so I think he'll stick with it awhile.

agreed but the point is with enough skill all is possible. I'm literally watching a guy right now who beat EVERY SINGLE BOSS (aside from mark-giving ones) with default isaac with 0 items.

A problem with having so many addons and items is that it's impossible to memorize what they all do, so you constantly have to check the wiki to see what anything does befor deciding to pick it up or not.

Is there a mod which shows on the screen what a given unpicked item does?
