A bunch of addons remain, but stuff like Weak Auras is dead for retail with Midnight. And that was really the important one.
I haven't been tuned in to the addon stuff, but iirc, Blizzard is black boxing combat api, so you can't build addons around that information anymore.
I heard there's some work around addon devs figured out. Its gonna be shittier than the old addons, but the addon war goes on.
