I've been having fun so far, trying to unlock tonfa and magnet atm, but watching videos of endgame stuff had me worried, everything seems to spam attacks that covers the whole arena and you either dodge or parry with iframes that makes GU/Rise/Wilds broken stuff looks like gen 1 shits, or you get hit, heal with infinite moxie and never die, which honestly doesn't seem very fun.

Serious question, how do I hit enemies? If I try and stay close, I get hit by constant hitboxs as the boss moves around. If I try and hang back and wait for a safe opening, the opening is gone by the time I've slowly managed to shuffle closer and draw my weapon and I get hit anyway.

They pick their next attack depending on where you are, if you stand in the same spot every time (i.e. to the left of their head) they'll do the same one or two types of attack to try and hit you. So you can try to bait certain attacks that are easiest for you to punish by positioning yourself a certain way. It gets a bit messy in multiplayer when the monster has multiple targets but that's the general idea. You'll figure out how best to position yourself to bait/punish/avoid the attacks of each monster as you fight them more, no shortcut for that I'm afraid.I will say generally, it's unwise to fight a monster head on. Most of the time you should be trying to hit it from the sides or as it's turning

>>731307647There's a gacha currency, I don't know much about it but at this stage you can get 100 from the guide next to the entrance to the town, and there's a daily quest mentioned in the HR3/4 guide that rewards you gacha coins. I didn't try the types other than the standard gacha so I don't really know how they work, but I could try to translate when I get on. In the standard gacha you either roll 1 or 10 at a time and get some random transmog tickets from the banner. I don't think there are different rarities, or at least it didn't display anything like that. I have no idea how the banners correspond to the sets of items you can get, I don't think they correspond to the original banners as advertised in the visuals because I got tickets for a nier transmog on the standard banner. My approach was to dump 10 coins into a banner and see what transmogs became available, and then look at color variations and armors with similar names or similarly named tickets. If I saw something I liked I noted the ticket I need and put more coins in until it appeared in the rewards. The material acquisition hint doesn't tell you if the tickets are available from gacha or what their banner would be so it's hard to pick a banner based just on the transmogs you want. Maybe the couple veteran frontier players here would know more.
