Atelier also has a really involved crafting system where you can build items down to individual stat spreads and attributes using items you scavenge. It’s a big part of the game whereas crafting is an afterthought in a lot of other series. And Atelier has some great production value put into music and the illustrators they hire so you’ll get really beautiful art and OSTs that elevate the experience even if they’re fairly conventional JRPGs.
