It's very shallow game have most barebones combat system (click left to atack, hold for big attack right to block), magic sucks, all npcs have no personality, game consist mostly of fetchquests, main storyline sucks, there is no rpg elements etc. You can became archmage and leader of mages collage without knowing any real spells playing as warrior, you can join and became guildmaster for thieves guild despite having 0 thieving skills. There is civil war and there is no diference if you help one side win or war still rages on because nothing changes, you can kill The Emperor(in middle of civil war) and game world don't react to it, you are promised hero and you can kill world ending threat but nobody cares.
Only thing that skyrim does good it looked ok(for 2011 standards) had soulfull music(that did all heavy lifting in game) and it was fun if you turned your brain off and just treated it like theme park and just chaised objective markers across the map.
