For example, having a guy which plan would affect the region but being offered a benefit for intervene would rely more on the player personal alignment instead of some "objective morality" to follow (How does such a thing exists in a godforsaken post apocaliptic shit hole?). Instead, you have such immensely comically stupid situations that get defused using simple common sense, or disonance with available options like OP pic. In roleplaying, it would be ideal to write all options as "good ones", which means actually consider them, and let the player decide what suit him best according to his own personal approach and vision, but that would require that the meta aspect is not bound by some corporate committee, as well as the writing is not managed by people which only approach to fiction and reality has been with jewish media or japanese shonen anime and self help books for women.

I can give you one reason why Fallout 3 will always be superior to Fallout New Vegas:Upon leaving the Vault you can go wherever you want, do whatever you want. New Vegas tries to force you into a certain route which is just plain boring 90% of the playtime. And to top that off, there's the hard slap of disappointment in your face when you finally enter the Strip.
