Just rolled credits on Daybreak 1. It was a pretty fun game, and I ended up liking the cast a lot more than I originally thought I would. Final boss was kind of a pain in the ass on Nightmare, though. I had to somewhat cheese it by making sure Van had max CP during his third turn as Grendel so I could revert and immediately transform back, otherwise he wasn't capable of tanking attacks while I fed him CP. I'm unsure if I'll jump into 2 tomorrow, as there's a handful of games coming out very soon that I'm interested in. I've heard that 2 basically does nothing to move the overall plot forward until the very end, but does it at least answer some of the questions the first game leaves you with?

>>731546427In retrospect, I ended up enjoying Daybreak 2. I kinda felt like it was a slog at points while playing it, but it does have an immediate hook (unlike Horizon) and it definitely has its moments, especially Nemeth Island.
>>731546530My favorite finale of all time, that final fight was CINEMATIC with all it's set pieces, far better than Horizon imo
>>731546559>Fighting the final boss>He forces you out of command mode and into field modeLudokino I'm afraid.
>>731546478>Some, but leaves you wanting moreThat's pretty much par for the course for Trails games. As long as I get some answers, I'll be alright. I know I'll play the sequel eventually (I waited until Horizon launched to start Daybreak) since I've been invested in this series from the PSP FC days. I'll just toss it on my wishlist and grab it when it gets a decent sale.>>731546530As long as the slog isn't as bad as doing Chapter 5 of DB 4 times in a row, I think I'll be able to manage. I hate that I have completionist autism for these games when it comes to things that can feasibly be done within a "single" playthrough.
Save the thread. My final message. Goodnight.
>>731548795horizon hype is dead im 'fraid
>>731548795I'd be happy to post in the thread if Nisa got off their asses and released the game in Aus/NZ already.
