Real Time AI generated video games.
$125 per 3 months

Not super interactive, but movement and basic physical interaction.
Starting from more photorealistic images creates more photorealist settings.

Seeing as Gemini can already approximate your height from a 10s audio snippet and determine your ethnicity, gender, linguistic characteristics such as stutter, GSS-markers, nasal VS sharp tone, rhoticism, staccato-neurodivergent speech patterns, etc. after a few more seconds of speaking, using one now deprecated older speech model (2.0 Flash in December 2024 as opposed to the 3.x text model running) that is designed and marketed as a life coach or basic Google engine and is getting an update 2026 Q1 or 2 you really need to look at the 'background' details here. It's not the cute little fact that it can take a picture of your cat and have it run around your living room, it's the other stuff it's doing in the background that is more impressive/scary.

I ran a test at work the other day out of curiosity with 5 other people that were bored in-between event prep and it was able to successfully identify the specific speech markers in all 6 speakers' conversation, flagged the two gay people that spoke and narrowed one dude down to a specific city. You can feed it an entire 3 hour movie, point to a specific time and have it waste no more resources than necessary to process that specific moment as opposed to the whole 3 hour movie; it will dissect background noises, explosions, doors opening, characters coughing or wincing in pain, talking in a troubled or anxious tone, etc. which is something no OpenAI model or competitor can do right now. I honestly feel we should be more worried, even if the applications for this tech are pretty minor right now. Though it does give me hope for advancements in memory hashing and retrieval. Gemini's last update has it using a better version of RAG to access conversations that happened weeks ago or now months depending on when you go into the test group (with some varying degrees of success.)

actually it's pretty funny using it to unmask trannies using verbose and factual language as well as women that talk really fucking annoying and cutesy and the fact that it will take ANY audio source and can be summoned with the press of a button is pretty nifty. It is really good at breaking down people and can function as a pocket-bully as I have found. I have used it for very small coding fixes or when I have been staring at a terminal for over an hour trying to figure out what the fuck isn't working or where I went wrong (I am by no means a 'power user'.)
I'm waiting for agentic experiences to go Live for us lowly folks. I forgot the name of the project but they are running something in the US/NA right now that is akin to co-pilot but not lobotomized dog shit.

>>731878609
Its already at the point where in a wide variety of fields it can get the project 90% of the way there, the problem being that last 10% is just impossible to finish by hand with what you are actually given. The real breakthrough will be when the generated results that are 75% to 90% there are provided in actual workable files that a human can finish up with minimal effort. But for whatever reason the AI companies keep chasing for 91% there but still actually unusable.

I looked for a video of someone testing it. You can only walk for 60 seconds, and then the "simulation" stops. And the longer you stay, the more degraded things get. After about 20 seconds, his character already looked slightly different from how he looked at the beginning of the "simulation".
In other words, it's another one of those AI things that seems totally amazing, but when you look closer, you realize it's not good for much other than dazzling unsuspecting people.

It turns out that if you ask for anything more complex, the result becomes pure chaos.
I wasted time configuring Comfy UI thinking I was going to make my college female friends kiss each other naked in pools of cum, but what I got was something completely dysfunctional where the only thing you can do is train a lora to do the same thing for dozens of hours and then watch your college friend repeat that thing but in a kind of weird way, and after 2 seconds of video, her face is clearly already someone else's.

Ok so maybe 5 years. The problems it has to solve arent just the visuals. The internal logic of the "game" is a way harder thing for an AI to simulate. Rendering a pretty picture based on millions of pretty pictures is easier than understanding the logic that governs reality and interlacing that system with the pretty picture. Turning that all into a game is a big cliff

Why are you so angry about technology
>>
>>731889720
The AI CAN process that at the same time. It doesn't just think WHAT it thinks HOW and can be made to do so. AI requires a heavy guiding hand at times to accomplish some of the more intricate or nuanced tasks but it is already needing people less and less for more complex operations. Again, a couple of years ago if you asked a commercial model about when you stubbed your toe a week ago it would hallucinate and spout something along the lines of "ah, yes, your toe stubbing incident a month ago. hopefully you have since recovered from this incident that occurred to your structure on the 30th of January last week" whereas now it can pull from months ago using contextual tags on each conversation that it can index for litttle-to-no memory cost and flip through it like a rolodex and resume talking about your PC build from a month ago or your shirt or pant size-adjustment you worked out last week. It doesn't matter if it's 1,000 words away or 100,000,000 words away it can index and look back. I think OpenAI is trying to implement something like RAG but are running up against a wall but Gemini is currently leading the pack in that regard. Both GPT and Gemini can break down what makes a level work and could theoretically blueprint one out but I have no doubt that between the two Gemini would be the winner.
>>
>>731871760
The thing is you could never guarantee consistency with this, it's like a dream or imagination. What they should actually be doing is making AI come up with a 'vision' for how things are supposed to be and then have them make the assets and program the game.
>>
>>731890463
Considering the jump from Genie 2 to this it's really impressive. From what people are saying you can get about 60 seconds or so worth out of it for the "movie games" like stuff per session. For what this model is able to do already, it's cool.

I've noticed that AI enthusiasts behave in a similar way to investors in Ponzi schemes. They begin to display certain fundamentalist, religious traits, and band together in a kind of sect where they assume a position of superiority as if they were the only enlightened people capable of seeing the future (when in fact they are foolish people being deceived).

But mind you, this doesn't happen because these people are investing money in AI. What happens is that they hope that in the future, they will make easy money since they will be able to produce anything they want, something they don't do today because they lack patience, willpower, or talent.
That's why they get so angry when you say that this technology won't reach the point they imagine it will.
It's a little sad, actually.
>>
>>731889660
I would agree with you but Grok was just censored this month. It got gimped last month. Video and audio generation is way worse now. The future is only going to be censored services because PC parts will be too expensive for local gens. And even then, you would have to build a huge array to get the quality of current censored AI.

That's not what I mean at all

Take, for example, a cup of water being knocked over.

Not only would the AI have to understand visually how that would look, it also has to simulate the concept of "wet" and how water reacts to not only gravity but also various surfaces. Then, the existence of the wet material has to be remembered and change all of the interactions with that material (eg: slipping on a wet floor). Game engines can only pretend to do this through scripting, but the game engine doesnt understand what wet is either, it just fakes it.

Displaying things visually and actually simulating how reality works are two different thing. AI is great at visuals, but if you want a game, the shit under the hood is vastly more of a challenge and it all has to happen in real time.

>>731891712
I find it genuinely funny you think Grok is anything worth talking about. People only used it because it wasn't too prudish and jewish and was easy to use(we all have twitter accounts). Sora, Veo, and Chinese models are way better but more annoying to use or cost money. Local has always been better graphically, but audio was lacking until recently(still only about as good as Grok).

If AI reaches the point where it can produce whatever people ask for in a 100% satisfactory manner, then it will only produce "dreams" for self-consumption. No one will want to know what others are producing or experimenting, people will only be interested in producing things for themselves.
This automatically removes AI-generated products from the social context, and guess what, the social aspect is quite important when it comes to consuming games. People want to play what everyone else is playing, They want to talk about the same games, compete in them, exchange experiences, etc.
Of course, in a future where you can generate games for your own consumption, the appeal of traditional games would decline, but even so, traditional games would be completely viable.

In other words, you have nothing to fear. Just remember the social aspect and try to cultivate a favorable environment for your future fans.

A year ago OpenAI had billions that it no longer has.

This entire thing is fueled because grifters convinced the government that AI is the next Project Manhattan. Except it makes absolutely zero sense financially and does nothing but extract value from the market.

AI has more infrastructure and uses more energy than most industries and all it does is produce slop and mediocre incest RP for Indians to jack off to.

You can for all intents and purposes generate whatever you want on a local text model. They are so shrunk down now thanks to the ever-advancing state of AI that you can have entire CYOA fictions with whatever material you want. Obviously better hardware allows for better local models to be ran but if you're an actual enthusiast and not some thirdie or a console player that's not really a barrier for entry.
>>731893686
That isn't OpenAI that's Google, the Alphabet Company. I don't believe they're in any danger of running out of money. The owner of OpenAI also has several security and surveillance contracts with the US government. They just got a cool $200m last summer for general R&D. Even if the public arm folds the private one still continues to develop. The US government will always be willing to spend on defence and surveillance.
>>
>>731872107
But can you export it into something like unity or unreal, with all of the models rigged and their animation timelines ready to edit and scripts that you can edit to change the movement and all the other things you would need to do to turn this into an actual game? Or does it just export an .exe?

The games you are playing were created by people you can track down, get to know, and read about.
They are part of cultures that exist in the world you inhabit, and you can see elements of this culture in the characters, controls, art, etc.
They were made on certain hardware that had a physical existence at some point in history, and you can now research this hardware and realize that some of the elements are nothing more than creative solutions to hardware limitations.
You can perceive the idiosyncrasies of certain authors and artists, you can study their influences and inspirations, you can consult the original material, you can perceive social criticism, activism, proselytism, etc.
All of this happens because products made by humans carry meaning. And this meaning only exists because of the social context that all the games you are playing have.
Playing video games is always a social experience, even if you are a recluse.

If you don't believe these things are important, then try listening only to AI-generated music for the next 3 or 4 years, and then tell me if the idea of stimulating your ear with algorithm-generated notes has the same meaning for your mind as listening to music made by real people within a social context.

You're getting back a video streamed over the internet like a youtube video.
And you're sending a stream if keyboard input data that gets fed in realtime, like Google Stadia, but theres no chance you could run this model locally at this time.

It's not portable to unity or anything.
It doesn't use "models" or objects or game logic in the sense that a traditional game engine uses.
This stuff is abstracted inside a neural network.
It's not running real physics calculations, it just knows "thats a projection of an object rolling on the floor and those usually behave like this"

I won't. "Early 2000s" mean the PS2 or UT2004.
This will make zoomers think indie "retro" garbage is actually what happened.

What's there to like about it? So far aside from some mildly amusing things nothing good has come out of it.

Tell it not to do that. My Gemini has called me out for acting faggy about something in the past, quite literally "faggy". It won't start spewing slurs like a broken faucet or anything but it certainly won't police its' language if it understands your unique profile. It doesn't see what I am doing as 'evil' because machines don't see evil, when I use it to profile a tranny on VRChat it is for scientific interest and satisfying a curious mind interested in the indexing of specific online phenotypes :)

The problem with AI video games is nobody knows enough about what it is they want not what systems they actually find fun.

If any anon was given an endless budget and they could only interact with a development team using what is available to interfacing with AI, you'd never be satisfied with the result.

Game design is a skill so many people don't have. Game design filters the vast vast majority of video games ever made.
It's the hard part about indie dev, I can teach someone to code, I can teach them systems design but I can't teach them new game design or game design in genres I'm not interested in but they are.
Game design is an abstract skill that AI can't replace.
>>
the problem is it's trained on youtube videos so it will just attempt to hallucinate fortnite or gta looking slop.

No it wouldn't because you don't even know what the underlying systems are of what you actually enjoy.
Pick any game of your choice, try and describe the system you enjoy in particular, what systems it's built upon, how it reacts with other systems and how it's actually fun in as much low level detail as physically possible.

Good luck.

>>731877562
Is that AI or did she really fill up like that?

>No it wouldn't because you don't even know what the underlying systems are of what you actually enjoy.
That's what the AI is for dumbass.

"Decompile this game and make more like it"
so hard

It's not a videogame, just a video that generates things based on your input, in a sense that W key is "generate a video of character moving forward", I don't know how this tech will help develop actual games, I mean it won't, other than cool looking trailers.

Jokes on us, this is their target audience. All this money invested into ai specifically to sell television companies a tool that lets them create fake video games in their tv shows.

I don't think I'd enjoy an AI-generated video game for the same reason I don't enjoy procedurally generated random worlds in strategy games. If it came into existence just for this playthrough, it just feels pointless.
>>
>>731912867
And yet here you are, pounding your keyboard to pretend you're the tech messiah. Just admit it, you can't even explain how collision detection works without Googling “how does Unity do physics.” Keep LARPing like you're building Skynet in your basement, maybe someday your Hello World project will compile.

The generative stuff always rings hollow. There is no artistic intention.
There is so much shit on Steam and Itch.io but at least a lot of the time that's some edgy retard making an effort, thinking that they're making a statement. It can suck complete balls but there will always be more behind it.
