I really think the game lacks flow right now. There's no reason to swap styles and there's no mechanical benefit to doing it mid combo like flux or flash attack. There's no animation cancels like yokai skills or burst counters. I don't know why they wouldn't let you cancel attacks into guardian spirit attacks. I really hope there's a hidden skill to add something to style swapping. I honestly just wish I could use style swapping as an animation cancel.

The magic system is pretty cool because it's based on Feng Shui(?) or whatever chinese alchemy is called, you can cancel out enemy spells by using the opposing element, to use a simple example if an enemy buffs their weapon with fire you could use a water spell to cancel it out. The DLC weapons also have a lot more depth to them than the base game weapons from what I have seen, although I must admit I've never actually gotten into Wo Long enough to finish it, just enough to get up to the first Lu Bu fight.

pretty much 100% the demo at this point, apart from some random pickups and those spirit veins i don't understand, dunno if you need to unlock a certain guardian in main story for those or if the ui tells you somewhere. insanely fun. ninja is maybe a bit "overtuned" but idk. you can just spam dash and get back ninjitsu tools and defeat all the bosses without even engaging with them much. (then again you can spam and stunlock almost all bosses in Nioh2 with feathers)but i spent 90% on it. samurai has stuff like very easy deflect parries to shut down enemies, so i'm sure it's good too.

I don't know if it's bugged but martial arts and grapples do not play nicely with the default control scheme. I'm fairly good with stick inputs but it always goes for the grapple even with that one setting on. I think control scheme E which is based on Nioh 2 is the way to go here because the L1+square/triangle attacks do work over the grapple in this setup. It's also nice having all my burst break options on one R2 modifier and I can decide if I want to swap break or break in the same mode without a hold input. I'm also finding the timing to chain arts guage combos kind of awkward for some moves. Like for 2kats mortal flow, the delay before it lets you chain into another move is huge. It really should let you cancel some recovery and chain moves together more smoothly. Some attacks flow better together though but not mortal flow.
