Whats in store for UT/DR fangames? do you think any of them will ever be as "successful" as Undertale Yellow? and most importantly, have you ever felt inspired to make a fangame yourself?
I don't think any of them will be AS succesful as yellow just since it was started when the ut craze itself was at full power, but I saw a video for DRY1 that had nearly 30 fucking thousand viewshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoVyzycd_dY and then I saw another one with almost 80k views. so it's genuinely mind blowing that a fan game from here is getting that kind of traction.
>>732158864there is this short with almost 850k views, which is even more insanehttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/Wkk6qvuYlKkBut to me the craziest thing related to Deltarune Yellow is the chinese translationhttps://gamejolt.com/games/BUTTER-IN-CHINESE/1014184
>>732158647Probably most of them will crash and burn.
>>732159134>But to me the craziest thing related to Deltarune Yellow is the chinese translationit boggles the mind.every time I see discussion centered on it it's surreal. it deserves it of course, especially as of the last update is actually really enjoyable, but it's still not something I expected THAT many people outside of the little chan discussions to know about. It would be aweseome if something like naranja or oldentale got some attention as well when they get playable content out there.
>>732159194most of them already did, there was an epidemic of fangames getting anounced after the released of UTY, there were easily over 100 fangames anounced, almost all of them are dead now, and only a few remain, most notably Wildfire
>>732159365>It would be aweseome if something like naranja or oldentale got some attention as well when they get playable content out there.I wonder if other anons will eventually join with more fangames, SURVEY_2 seemed promising, but there hasn't been any more news about the game in months
>>732158647I'm just glad Yellow put an end to the era of endless skeletonwank fangames, the fandom's obsession with Sans is what made me lose interest in the fangames, which is sad because back then we had stuff like Red and the Alphys battle, which might not be amazing by modern standards but they were at the very least something original
Probably the best thing to be skilled at when developing a game is programming, followed by music production and art design. I have none of that, so when it comes to brainstorming a fanwork I try to fit it within a literary format. The opportunity cost of just banging out a story is far, far lower. That said, I have massive respect for fangame devs.
astroturf thread
>>732160180honestly its a miracle yellow happened even with its flaws, but yeah it's nice seeing so many people trying to actually make real projects after it, and on that note>>732159742I feel like there's been a lot of people inspired by the fangames in progress lately so maybe some more will pop up.
>>732160428you really hate video game discussion that much huh?
>>732159419It was weird hearing that yellow actually came out. I remember seeing the initial posts for a ton of those fangames that never got past designing a title screen in some cases. I remember feeling something along the lines of "sure that's going to happen" when I saw the first screenshots of yellow gameplay.
Copulation with Ceroba so we can make another child for her to accidentally kill.
>>732158864>>732159134I think this proves there's a very strong demand still around for any sort of fan content. A lot of fangame creators think what they make has to be perfect or groundbreaking in some way, but just getting something out there with likeable characters and a modicum of believability is all it takes. Deltarune-themed content probably will accumulate more attention because it's a still-growing fanbase while Undertale has entered the realm of nostalgia, but either way you'll find an active community. I still find Youtube channels playing Undertale corruptions all these years later.
>>732159365Whats the craziest thing that could happen with a fangame developed here? right now these are some of my ideas>people cosplaying as characters from them>seeing japanese fanart of them>seeing people in the wild using characters from them as their profile pictures
Heya guys the Martlet Drawanon here!I've started drawing some of the requests , and a made a list of the one's sent my way.Saying that if you have any cool ideas in mind, feel free to send them my way.I've gotten a lot of cool ideas, I'm interested in seeing more them.Outside of requests, feel free to give me a shout, if you want to ask or show me something!
>>732160346>I try to fit it within a literary format. The opportunity cost of just banging out a story is far, far lower.nothing wrong with that. Seeing the fangames anons were making led me to seeing the fanfics other anons were making, which led to me starting to write myself. it's one of those things where a community is a many faceted beast. Then in turn, sometimes the dev anons have mentioned being inspired by discussions, other times
>>732161214>Undertale has entered the realm of nostalgia,I feel so fucking old when I remember that I grew up watching UT fancontent
>>732161472I was already 25 when undertale came out, its a strange feeling when you see people who must be in their 20s talk about feeling old.

>>732160346>Probably the best thing to be skilled at when developing a game is programmingI used to think the same before starting my fangame, now I know that you shouldn't understimate the other skills, writing a story is way harder than I initially thought, for that I have a newfound respect for all writers, the ones writing fanfics and the ones writing stories for their games
>>732161356That's all very tame. The craziest and worst thing to happen would be footage or fanart of a fangame making national news if some retard were to go psycho while having that on his phone or social media.>>732161545I was 19 when I played it and this will sound corny but it made me feel like I was enjoying a second childhood. Also older zoomers are very distant from younger zoomers who are likewise distant from Alphoids. Culture has changed at a breakneck pace.
>>732161846>Culture has changed at a breakneck pace.yeah I can't argue that. I saw someone talking about how all the roblox games they grew up with being taken down. At first it just felt like "damn kids and their new fangled xyz"but then I remembered how it felt when blizzard tried to take ownership of custom games in starcraft/warcraft and all the creators abandoned ship. Similar but different feelings.
>>732161846>That's all very tame.it might be tame for indie games, but we are talking about fangames made on a mongolian basket weaving forum by some random anons
>>732161425Whether you draw more unbirthing stuff, characters look hot, wholesome moments, or something comical.I'm sure what you end up drawing will look great.Either way looking forwards to more Martlet or Zartlet.

>>732158647The problem is that the fandom is too schizo too work together until a project is doneEither people begin to harass each other or there is a scandal for grooming or cpIts a miracle yellow was finished
Here is a shallow dive on character analysis and how UTY does it better than UT.When people see a character, there are unconscious checks that shape what kind of bond you make.Relatability/self-identification: how similar a character is to you in regards to age, sex, background, circumstances, etc.Personality: attitude, speech patterns, and interests, basically how much you want to hang out with someoneMorality: whether you see someone as a good personNurture/community: a bond of being taken care of or taking care of someone, parent/childSex appeal: outward appearance and other factors that you likeMost UT characters actually suck at most of these, even if they tick off one or two boxes. Toriel has that nurture going for her and in a generation afflicted by poor parenting that's quite strong, but not much else. You'd maybe want to hang out with Sans more than anybody else. Undyne is not pretty and is otherwise polarizing. Alphys has none except for relatability for people with esteem issues, etc. Really, the appeal regarding the cast as a whole is just how different they are from one another. The main cast in UTY does a good job of ticking off multiple boxes for each character, and you can do that yourself. It helps that they are all canonically young adults which is a point in favor of relatability. I would argue that Martlet in particular is the most popular because she ticks off every box. She's a struggling young adult (relatable), she is a tomboy with a friendly personality, has a strong moral compass, has motherly instincts toward the main character, and is designed as an attractive woman with an exotic avian shape.Fangame devs should keep these factors in mind.
>>732159134>there is this short with almost 850k views, which is even more insaneview calculation for shorts is different to regular videos
>>732161545I was 14 when UT came out and 17 when the survey program came out.I'm already getting this weird feeling from looking back at all that, almost remorseful even.
>>732163241>designed as an attractive woman with an exotic avian shapeAnd then there's Zenith Martlet, which is undoubtedly the most attractive character in the game.
>>732163241I'd say that many of the ut characters meet a few more boxes than you're giving credit but I do see where you're coming from. A big part of that though for undertale, is that the different routes let you see different angles of that person, so you get to have a more rounded understanding of who they are. this applies the most for undyne and papyrus who have very strong character, that shows itself in different ways in genocide compared to pacifist. I'd say you're right along the other characters though.
>>732162749>Weird this fangame gets constant threads for no reason!Because this is a furry general and they discuss furry waifu OCs here. That's why this general exists, furfags.
>>732163747this isn't a general, and we are discussing video games in accordance with the rules. again I understand that all the twitter threads may have confused you in regards to this boards purpose, but I assure you we discuss video games and video game related topics on this board from time to time.
>>732163303I mean not to be a downer but youtube views are total bunk and you shouldn't use them at all as an analytic since a lot of API calls will spit a value of thousands or just millions before fuzzing it with some number of views to fill out the rest of the view counter on page load.

>>732165372I had an idea for a follow up to this, but I know I lack the artistic skill to pull it off, so I'll just describe it here and hope someone more skilled takes a shot at it. Kitsy pregnant with Anon's child, both of them feeling her belly, while each imagines their future child and smiles. Anon's thought is of a little green featureless fox with a lollipop and propeller hat getting pushed on a swing by him. Kitsy's is a gangly hunched werefox mauling her enemies.
Would monsters be disturbed by dust in the same way humans are by blood?
>>732158647I hope we'll have plenty more come out and that they'll be very successful. I especially have high hopes for Wildfire, DRY, Naranja, SURVEY2, and Oldentale (though I may be a bit biased on that last one).
>>732165692That's pretty good. Its exactly the kind of thing I want to IMAGINE with those two. It would be nice to see more oldentale stuff get drawn going forward.

>>732160346Programming is the most important skill for general game development, but for character focused RPGs like Undertale, I'd say writing is just as important, and music is a close second. Undertale was poorly programmed, but still managed to turn out as an excellent game because of its strong writing and soundtrack.

Now what do you call these constant, repeated, recurring threads about Undertale, Undertale Yellow, Deltarune, etc, and why does each of these entities need its own thread when they are all clearly beneath the same umbrella?

>>732168173probably an accidentanyway the artist is pretty much copying beats from omori and DR so far, if art wasn't posted daily I think most people would have stopped caring about it, specially since it pairs kanako with a new lesbian dog oc
>>732168118They only got organized because the mods were being niggers about people discussing games, and that's not even bringing up the fact that they've intentionally gone out of their way to try and ruin people discussing the actual games or banning people developing games.Which aside from the fact that nobody knows what a "general" is now and it mostly exists as a convenient excuse for the fagmins to ban shit they don't like, discussing games and the development of them immediately disqualifies it from being a general.
it's best not to respond to retarded people who can't tell the difference between a general and occasional threads. Their true goal is just complaining about a video game they personally do not like. It's always good to remember that.
>>732163036Then the devs here have the opposite problem where they're stable and mentally sound enough to stay committed to a game, but there are no musicians or artists on this side of the fandom to help them.

I don't ever think it will be, but if it does, I will release all my WIPs here.As for a progress update: unless people really would prefer otherwise, I'm going to skip on implementing the intro in Kristal and just jump straight into releasing it in my custom engine. As for how that's going, I tested what I have so far on early-mid 90s hardware (ie. minimum system requirements), and performance isn't quite where I want it to be, so I'm exploring other options on implementing rendering. Aside from that, I'd like to test out some SDL3 Windows 9x ports and see how well they work. If they're up to par, I plan on porting the engine over to SDL3 since it's a lot nicer to work with than 1.2.

>>732168980>that goes hand in hand with people thinking other boards are a sin to be reviledAre you making the case for or against this mindset? I'd argue /jp/ is actually a testament to how it is a good thing, as it historically managed to maintain its culture and has been pretty inertial to trends and "funposting" patterns rampant on other boards. Granted, mismanagement proved these efforts were ultimately for naught, but I genuinely do believe /jp/'s brand of madhouse was one of the most sane parts of this site for a while.
>>732170343I think this version of chujin is a non entity "generic tired dad" since I've seen nothing about him other than that one image
>>732168816What about...
>>732170370its good to keep a given board on topic, but people develop a mindset that if they want to talk about another topic thats not related to their board, instead of going to said board, they just need to make an off topic post. /jp/ isn't bad for gatekeeping, and /a/ used to gatekeep to its own benefit, and stays mostly on topic, but /v/ is fairly unique in its "i want to talk about gardening but don't want to make a thread on /out/. its a different manifestation of the symptoms I guess but if you look at a lot of those boards, they are slow, but a lot of the posters don't think "I need this to be my only board" , they instead think "this is where I talk about my outdoors interests". /v/ is pretty unique in how many people think going off topic, and i don't just mean minor diversions mid thread as is normal in any discussion, but "is coffee good for you" type threads are more important to them than just talking about the boards topic.
Make sure to ignore thread shitters and keep talking about video games.Don't let wannabe jannies ruin the thread just because they have nothing better to do with their time.

>>732168783>>732166208I saved the image directly from these threads a good while back. Not only is our vehement discussing, and fierce disagreement not deterring you from making things, but Its still stuff I'm happy to see. I think of the warm feelings of anon and Ceroba laying together in that one image, and It makes me want to capture that feeling, I think of the image with Wiki, which I also believe you did and while I know there was some contention around it, I enjoyed the scenario behind it and the discussion around what kind of person wiki was that came up. I generally enjoy the art, and knowing that despite our disagreements I feel that way, it puts a smile on my face. I'd actually like to find more SFW chujin art, but I don't know if that site has a reliable way to filter out nsfw, and while I know many here want to fuck him, I simply do not share that craving.
>>732174421>NotedI suggest you read Pandemonium Wizard Village first. Its extremely similar to Undertale in terms of feels and premise, and is actually finished. Dakini is a lot more action oriented. There's also Tsunousagi, which came before either, but is mostly self contained apart from one returning character and some returning concepts. Its mainly just a slice of life story about cute animal characters in a strange fantasy world.

>>732174813I think it's mindset and scope. despite being a short game, undertale is a massive experience in scope with how many tiny things fill every little moment. Not a mark against lisa as I know it's filled with a ton of unique moments, but people look at undertale and think "i'm going to do that" and feature creep themselves to hell before they even write the first page so to speak. they want an experience that is as reactive as undertale, but have no idea what that entails, and burn out before usually finishing the first zone. Lisa is a bit more focused as an experience, which again isn't a bad thing at all.
>>732175527It's also a lot easier to write a dark, messed up story with an occasional laugh than it is to write a light, humorous story with some meat under the surface. There's a reason fanfiction is almost always darker than the source material, sometimes to a comical degree.

It makes people horny to imagine being dominated by a sexy woman. That said, there is just as much a trend of non-r63'd versions of that trope coming out of Japan. Japan is very much a "sex sells" market, as opposed to the US which tries to use nostalgia or racial/cultural lines to sell things. Probably because Japan is a monoracial country where the majority of the population are permanently single.
>>732175440>And there stuff isn't as good as Sigs art, or all the other drawanons here,Who even are the other drawanons you're referring to at this point?Like, Sig's obviously a master, their work's incredible, but other than them, there really aren't too many other drawanons to compare with.I think when it comes to drawanons who appear in these threads with even any half-regular frequency, there's Sig, the Martlet drawanon, the guy who draws with that pixel style, and I guess me.You're really saying the Martlet drawanon is worse than all the rest of us?Not only is that just fuckin' rude, it's also a bold-faced lie, because I'd honestly say the Martlet drawanon is leagues better than me in multiple categories, and honestly probably second or equal to Sig if we're going off their skill and quality of their work. You're just being mean for no reason, stop this nonsense.

I felt bad after that discussion because as heated as it got, I enjoy my time with all of you crazy sonsa bitches and I felt like I sperged out towards the end of it a bit.the sir anon thing was not long ago back on the main fangame discussion after that one anon shared that art of kitsy. >my word carries no more weight than any otherTrue, I'm just saying, I know we don't see eye to eye on that one topic, and possibly many others, and you may still not like anything I've done so far, but the possibility that one day something I do could be enjoyed even with as much as we've disagreed is nice. it's not a requirement for me to keep going by any means. Anons come up with ideas that inspire me in strange and confusing ways, and I can only hope that I manage to get a little better over time.
>>732176189Oh no I know, I was just explaining what they were.
So apparently this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeQHPcelJ7s is actually part of a full Deltarune port for the DS that is currently in active development.
>>732174764>sending me on a scavenger huntfine :I
>>732175991It's not worth engaging with him. He's a spiteful retard, but has just enough brain cells to know that artists tend to have self-doubt as a weakpoint and is aiming for that. He has a hateboner for that drawanon for some reason, possibly because unbirth art actually got some discussion and he hates that.
>>732176347What, you actually want to see my old garbage?
>>732176381I think that guy is just rage baiting
>>732176381Yeah, you're probably right.Curse me for being unable to resist feeding the trolls.
>>732176009>Nta, but when might we get that follow up fic you mentioned?I'm still trying to finish chapter two of a momlet thing first, my proofreader has completely forgotten about it, and I'd rather just get it out before I let another week pass me by even if I miss some of my own mistakes>I have that Sir Anon green saved, its too good not tothat makes my night to hear anon, genuinely.
>>732176421I believe both of us do yes, I personally just wanted the sfw search because I don't want to see chujins furry balls while looking for art of the guy, but i'm absolutely going to brave the esix trenches sometime to find as much art from anons that I may have missed as possible.
>>732176539I'm sorry, this was meant for >>732176402
>>732176301I don't know what drives people to do things like ds ports, but its really cool. Its not practical sure, but that some worm crawled in their skull and drove them to do that is impressive. It gives me the same feeling as "doom runs on anything" in a way.
>>732176347>>732176539Well, if you're certain. The first one I made quite a long while ago, just to satisfy a very particular desire of mine, so uh...Go easy on me?https://files.catbox.moe/yquwjl.pngThe second image here was made as a followup, as I became infatuated with the idea of Ceroba being really gentle and such after, stuff, you know. Not a great image in it's own right though, hadn't gotten a good handle on how to draw snouts, and I really fucked up the depth if I'm being honest. Just a bad job on my part.https://files.catbox.moe/ukbrfi.png
>>732176253That is adorable. I'm also a sucker for these bonds. It's one of the reasons I held a soft spot for Toriel in my heart I still want to learn how to make butterscotch pie.>>732176539Not having to filter 50 tags to avoid vacuum futa porn while browsing is a blessing. Props to that anon for sharing.
>>732176223>r, but how would you have not at least heard about it (or have been made to read it) in your high school english class or something? We read Romeo and Juliet in highschool (it was horrible, but we managed to have fun with it by acting like we were all gangbangers from the ghetto instead of Italian nobles) basically had the whole class act out an audio drama of it. We didn't read the complete works of Shakespeare. Most of what we read was American books written in the 20th century. Great Gatsby and To Kill a Mockingbird. I read and did reports on Animal Farm and 1984 in history class, but those were books I chose, and most people read something else. Most of english class was learning the fifteen billion grammatical rules of English.> but it's another thing entirely for that to extend beyond the context of the bedroom and into your actual lives, and that's unhealthy. That's the point. Its fetishism. They get to live the fantasy of indulging their sexual desires to the point of hurting themselves in the safety of fiction. Its the same thing as playing COD and pretending to be a badass soldier, but not wanting to put yourself in a gunfight irl.>but I still fail to understand why these sorts of things seem to attract a bizarre amount of popularity even with the states. The US has its own massive population of terminally single young men. It just also has other populations to balance out the market, and a much stronger social aversion to sexual topics.
>>732176651It's practical for me. I own a DS and would very much like to be able to play Deltarune on it. Its a nice console.
>>732176864>https://files.catbox.moe/ukbrfi.pnganon, I don't know how to tell you this but despite not being into footjobs or paw jobs (not against it, just another one of those "not my fetish" situations), and while I understand that there's always room for improvement, and you are telling yourself its not good, however you seefucking saved.
>>732176906>but we managed to have fun with it by acting like we were all gangbangers from the ghetto instead of Italian nobles)Oh yeah, like the movie. That movie's pretty fun.>That's the point. Its fetishism.Alright, yeah, I guess it is a bit much for me to hope the ideal of egalitarianism would be able to outshine such things.I can never listen to that one Ken Aschorp song without thinking about Abraham Lincoln's ghost listening to it and muttering "this is bullshit".>The US has its own massive population of terminally single young men.Ah.Also fair.
>>732176893I'm glad you liked it, and yeah even with Toriels flaws as a person, I still love her. Undertale to me is a game about extremely flawed people, who may have virtues despite that. The bird and the foxes simply occupy much, much more of my brain space these days.
>>732177054Ah, I'm glad you like it.The image was fairly popular on esix and twitter when I posted it, though I think I could do better now.I just really liked the idea of Ceroba giving (the viewer, me, an anon, whoever) a pseudo-forced pawjob, because I have multiple very specific fetishes and they combined like a giant robot into this one very specific thing that I'm now into.
>>732177394>and they combined like a giant robotI understand the feeling, sometimes these things just become a runaway chain reaction.
holy fuck dalvkeeper in the wild
>>732175991>second or equal to Sig if we're going off their skill and quality of their work. The Martlet drawing art isn't even remotely close to Sigs. There's no comparison. You don't need to say that to spare the drawanons feeling.>Martlet drawanon is leagues better than me in multiple categoriesNo they aren't, you're better than them. You don't need to sell yourself short. You're stuff is better, just like the pixel artist, and Sig.>You're really saying the Martlet drawanon is worse than all the rest of us?Well they are though. There stuff isn't that great, everyone else's stuff is significantly better.
>>732161425I don't have requests but I'd like to see the rest of your work, you have an album or something?okay martlet talonjob would be cool but I don't know if that's your style, no pressure
>>732177083>Oh yeah, like the movieI actually didn't know about the movie until after. Still waiting for a good chance to watch it with friends> I guess it is a bit much for me to hope the ideal of egalitarianism would be able to outshine such thingsIf its any consolation, its probably people who think this shit is wrong irl that are the most into. People tend to be into forbidden stuff like that sexually. For example women are the biggest consumers of rape porn by a wide margin. Racists, similarly, really like interracial porn. Like I said before, people enjoy the fantasy, they don't actually think this stuff is good in reality.>I can never listen to that one Ken Aschorp songWhich one?>Abraham Lincoln's ghost listening to it and muttering "this is bullshit"I don't think he'd care too much about what some faggot on the internet is singing about
>>732177643>No they aren't, you're better than them. You look at what I just posted and type that again with a straight fucking face, I dare you.
>>732175991consider this, every time you reply to that idiot, it gives them an excuse to come up with some additional psychosis to tear down a draw anon with. It's genuinely best to let them spin their wheels being stupid.
>>732176864nice, I quite like the second one
>>732177650You can find all the Martlet Drawanon's stuff on e6.As far I can tell, unless something was missed, all the art they've drawn has been uploaded there by people.Just search for 4chan anon and undertale yellow in the search tags, then you should easily be able to find their stuff.
You know, you can just ignore the baiter. Dude's complaining about Martlet sticking Clover up her cooch? Ignore him. I also think it's nasty but you don't see me complaining about it.
>>732177695>Which one? This one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC0A-cEY-1Q>people enjoy the fantasy, they don't actually think this stuff is good in reality.Ah, maybe. I guess I just miss when that sort of thing was less mainstream and I wasn't at risk of seeing a "Nagatoro" or "Uzaki" whatever fan so often.>I don't think he'd care too much about what some faggot on the internet is singing aboutYes, but the visual is funny.
>>732175440what's your angle, man? other than being some butthurt retard from /vg/?
If there's a thread tomorrow ill draw something.
>>732178064Probably wont be another until the weekend, we're rule abiding anons after all.
>>732178064thread might be over by that point
>>732177957> "Nagatoro" or "Uzaki"I'm not much of an expert on the subject, but isn't Nagotoro literally just a generic tomboy and Uzaki just a girl with big tits? I don't remember seeing anything about mommy kinks or BDSM with them.
>>732178161It's the way they treat the male leads that irks me, not that it extends as far as bdsm or anything.
>>732176864I love the second picture. It's a good portrayal of Ceroba's height and being smothered in her breasts is a delightful fantasy. I like how this one also has some 3D perspective. I hope you make more art!>>732177083>the ideal of egalitarianismIt's not worth idealizing, don't worry.Anyway when it comes to Shakespeare adaptations Hamlet (1996) is by far my favorite, what with the acting, costumes and set design.
>>732178161the original version of nagatoro from before the manga, was very very different, the author is into some freaky shit.
You know, I'll take some more reqs. Even if the thread dies I can just post them on /vrpg/
>>732178341normally I would just spout off something about Martlet again, but honestly I'd love to see more oldentale characters.
>>732178234I'm curious how you've managed to tolerate UT/DR discussion on /v/ if it bothers you that much. All the shit I've seen involving doebreaking, Kris getting doelested, and all the Susie, Undyne, Roba, and Zartlet dom art and discussion that happens here.
>>732178250>I hope you make more art!I certainly plan to, I'm actually hoping to wrap up an image of Ceroba quite soon, though this one isn't hmofa or anything. I will be drawing more Ceroba/Anon stuff at some point in the near future, I actually have a specific thing I'd like to do with that, but that's for later.>It's not worth idealizing, don't worry.Egalitarianism is always worth idealizing, a world where all sentient beings are truly equal is highest aspiration a civilization can hope to strive for.
>>732178415anything in specific or just anything I feel like?
>>732178031The funny thing is the Martlet Drawanon is literally just drawing requests, and they aren't afraid to draw other stuff.I mean they've not only drawn other characters, they've drawn wholesome stuff to, all of which has been drawn well.If they draw something well, and people like, naturally they're going to request more.
>>732178514Anything you feel like, I like wiki and kitsy a lot so far, Darkblade is funny to me, but since yesterday I find myself wishing I had more oldentale related art.
>>732178341Since we've been talking about Hamlet and Shakespeare, why not Clover alternatively Frisk or Kris holding a skull like in the "Alas, poor Yorick" scene?
>>732178458Oh, I actually kinda don't care to talk about DR much If I'm being honest. The thing I care about DR the most for is just whatever Gaster's getting up to, the rest is just side stuff to me.>Roba, and Zartlet dom art and discussion that happens here.I am fine with (this is perhaps an understatement) domination as long as it has a healthy boundary to it. What I don't like about those anime, and Taming of the Shrew, is how the characters that have been made the fixation of the other character's "romantic" affections are often treated poorly or outright disrespected outside of that.It gets me feeling like [picrel].
>>732178483>Egalitarianism is always worth idealizing, a world where all sentient beings are truly equal is highest aspiration a civilization can hope to strive for.I've heard it said here before, so I'm gonna say it now. Part of staying on the wagon is refusing the bottle when offered to you. This line of discussion is going to turn into /pol/ shit. Regardless of what my, your, or his views are on the subject are, or what we may think of the others' positions, this is hardly the place for that discussion. Part of keeping up a nice thread is denying yourself an argument when its going to decrease thread quality. I implore you to please not have an argument about irl racial equality here.>>732178250same goes for you. This is a nice thread, don't ruin it.
>>732178769>Part of staying on the wagon is refusing the bottle when offered to youBuddy, I was halfway paraphrasing fucking Optimus Prime, I wasn't about to launch into a big spiel about ideology and politics, chill.
>>732178747>affections are often treated poorly or outright disrespected outside of that.>It gets me feeling like [picrel].nta, but I do get that. that kind of material isn't for me personally, it just helps to remember that people sometimes get pleasure out of something in fiction, that would be terrible irl. People give womens written smut a lot of grief on this account, and it does certainly get really fucking nasty, but people forget that these people are enjoying the freaky shit in their mind, that doesn't necessarily cross over into real life.this mindset helps me see it, recognize what it is, and not engage with it since i know personally I'll hate it.
>>732168783>DRY2 is gonna happen. Have a little faith.Meh. What was the last real progress update? Each time it's more and more "sorry guys, got sidetracked"
>>732179086I will have faith until the day anon tells me they ditched it. It wont stop me from worrying about anons in the long periods of silence, but I refuse to give up faith.
>>732179160Me personally I'm not giving up on anyone unless they get banned, which is not a 0% chance, but hopefully it's unlikely.
>>732178747I get that feeling. I've had reactions like that to some adhg stuff that was crossposted in a hmofa thread, but I had to stop myself because I know its just fetishism, and its not meant to be taken seriously. I know a lot of my fetishes would be genuinely horrific if they were real. Honestly what bothers me more is how a similar kind of mistreatment in western media is, since I know its not a form of fetishism, but comes from a genuine misanthropy towards men and heterosexual relationships. ( an example being the kind of treatment Jerry got in Rick and Morty)Honestly, I'm glad Deltarune didn't commit to that kind of thing despite it being made by a western dev whose obsessed with Japan, and it featuring lesbian couple. The closes thing we have is Berdly and his obviously doomed crush on Susie, which worries me a bit, but it still doesn't seem like it will ever get that bad.
>>732179160"YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT, MAGGOT?! THE TRUTH IS, YOU HAVE LOST AN EXPENSIVE PIECE OF ARMY-ISSUED EQUIPMENT! THAT SUIT IS GONNA COME OUT OF YOUR PAY, AND YOU WILL REMAIN IN THIS ARMY UNTIL YOU ARE FIIIIIVE HUNDRED AND TEN YEARS OLD, BECAUSE THAT IS HOW MANY YEARS IT WILL TAKE FOR YOU TO PAY FOR THE MARK 2 ROYAL GUARD ARMOR YOU HAVE LOST!!!!!!"
>>732178769Not even a reference to the myth of Procrustes? Awwww, okay....>>732178747I do agree with this. I think romance needs to start with respect for it to be at all plausible. I think these sort of works do this sort of thing for comedic effect, but it hampers any romantic qualities they had in the process. I also never saw the appeal of humiliation fetishes which are popular among some people.>>732179160This. As long as we keep a fruitful discussion alive then Anon will have incentive to deliver. A community to bounce ideas off is the single best thing a creator can ask for.
>>732179308>but I had to stop myself because I know its just fetishism, and its not meant to be taken seriously.Yeah, that's part of why I stopped reading that "Sexy Space Babes" HFY story, I started imagining myself tearing down the alien regime like Gordon Freeman.
>>732179362>This. As long as we keep a fruitful discussion alive then Anon will have incentive to deliver.Let's not get ahead of ourselves, the point is talking about the fan games which can take time, not filling threads with posts. It's okay if there's not much to talk about for a while.
The gang goes out to a Mexican restaurant. What does each of them order?
>>732179160I genuinely don't understand how you lot keep being faithful given the forgotten and cancelled projects left and right.
>>732179795Even if an anon doesn't finish what they are doing, working on a project at all will help them grow, and give us something to think on and improve the things we're doing as well. Perhaps not a single thing will come to fruition, but that wont erase what was accomplished, and perhaps those unfinished works will go on to inspire that anon, or someone else to make something. I have faith in anons until the curtain call comes, because even just trying to create things shapens the spirit. Especially with how shitty things can be out there.
Oh, that reminds me, while there's a thread still going, someone answer something for me real quick-I asked a question like last weekend or something (i guess weekend before last now, uh) about how Ceroba or Martlet would react if someone asked to drink their breast milk, and while I got a good answer for how Ceroba would respond, I feel like I could use more details on how Martlet would respond, assuming you were already in a relationship with her.So, how do you think she'd respond?Yes, this is for a thing, it's for the thing immediately-ish after the current thing I'm working on.
>>732179768>CloverJust Ice>Everyone elseBeans and rice.
>>732180043I have thoughts on this but I don't want to spiral off into a tangent when I'm close to finishing things. I do think she'd be flustered even if she was close to you, but it would be a "different kind of flustered"
>>732179795Hopes and Dreams, man.
>>732180103I am genuinely curious to hear your thoughts on this, be sure to get back to us on that whenever you can.
>>732179768For a second I wondered if you talked about Kris's group or Cole', and now I'm wondering how a crossover between the two groups would unfold.
>>732180275Clover/Cole's group; if you start throwing Deltarune characters in there too it would be quite a fiesta. You'd need a piñata and some margaritas to go around. Still, I'm curious.>>732180043As the anon who wrote that I didn't really know myself at the time. Flustered response: she starts stammering, struggling to get words out as she processes what's going on. Non-flustered response: she sweats nervously and asks "Are you sure? This isn't something anybody's asked of me before.... You might get a mouthful of feathers. I don't even know if my body is making milk right now."
>>732179515I had a similar experience when reading this one about a human supervillain in a world filled with 7ft tall anthro super villains. I kept imagining what would happen if this guy were swapped out for Lex Luthor. Granted he almost was Luthorpilled with how he became a villain just because the antros looked down on him due to his (relatively) small stature, but then he cucked out at the end and let some bunny flash ripoff turn him into a house husband and sidekick. What I wanted was for him to make her his sidekick or chief minion after bringing him back to earth 1 with him.>Gordon FreemanProbably not the best example. That man is even less free than the alien slaves he's fighting.
>>732158647Well, here it is, Naranja today. this is not a "chapter 1" demo, its more like a beta and the area end halfway into it, there are also many things that need to be polished or changed, all the music are placeholders, it's short too and it's missing stuff like a genocide route.I was gonna give my own thoughts on the state of the game but I'd rather wait until some of you play it first. As always any feedback will be greatly appreciated, in fact that's the main reason I'm releasing a beta and not waiting until I have a full demo.Make sure to run this through as many antiviruses as you deem necessary.Uploaded to litterbox because catbox wasn't giving me any links.https://litter.catbox.moe/5hjxolwe97a43l1a.rar (Windows 64bits)https://litter.catbox.moe/n65qkifgt6rq8xzy.rar (Windows 32bits)https://litter.catbox.moe/rptyu8a17rlswlc6.rar (Linux 64bits)Btw. it's pretty late where I live, so I'm going to sleep, I'm sure tomorrow I'll have to fix a lot of weird and obvious bugs that somehow I missed.I really need to find a writer.
>>732181891Unfathomably based. Naranja juice on the house everyone. I may or may not be able to play it tonight myself, but I'm excited to give it a swing.
>>732181891oh shit, naranja real?!
>>732181891I wish I didn't have to get up in the morning. Can't wait to play this tomorrow!
>>732181891Based, I'm gonna give this a play, then I'll check back here with my thoughts. I'll also try to check in from time to time to keep the thread up.

>>732182596Val loves Dragon Ball, he would never disrespect the chracters like that
>>732181891YES!Gonna play it this weekend
>>732182649he would absolutely want to fight them, that wouldn't be a disrespect would it?
>>732180857>she starts stammering, struggling to get words out as she processes what's going on.Good.I can work with this.
>>732181891You weren't kidding about the beta thing. Not even a minute in and I already found a game breaking bug. After the end of the first fight, whatever movement key I was holding before the fight started gets stuck in the pressed state after the fight is over. The only way to get out of this is to close and reopen the game. Luckily it doesn't persist through saves. Also, there's a typo in the description of the mandana. now for spoilers I love that you put a mandatory QTE tutorial as the start screen, that's a neat way to force the player to learn that mechanic, though I think the glyphs are a bit confusing. Maybe consider switching them out for standard Z X C icons, or at least add the option to do that. Also I love the duende
>>732182649Val respects them enough to know that the ultimate act of respect he can give them is a good fight.
>>732181747>Probably not the best example. That man is even less free than the alien slaves he's fighting.I'm fine sacrificing myself to lift others up.That's been my dream ever since I was a kid and playing Halo: Reach permanently rewired my brain.

>>732182989I lived for 10 years like that absolutely tearing apart my body for that "purpose". At least don't use it as an excuse to wear yourself out anon, taking care of yourself is part of taking care of others.
alright, I did my best to proofread but as before I am open to feedback and criticism.I don't want to distract anyone from the Naranja demo, but if you get the chance to read this, I appreciate it.chapter 2 of "The Best In Me"https://archiveofourown org/works/77850791/chapters/206718006
oh cool naranja update.>>732168783>>732179086its been a slow go but i have been ramping up again.been fixing bugs and polishing stuff, focus has been the pause menus>fixed a bug where the soul was below menus>got rid of the placeholder where the soul was just moved around a bit to show the selected menu, now the buttons/text actually show which one is selected>the pause sprites change to match the character you're currently controlling. the buttons get the character's menu color and the soul icon is their soul>the soul also changes to match>next up: making it so that the buttons lose the soul when entering the menu, like in DRstill more to do, but anything to help me procrastinate on the battle system.i would've had a short webm like the other times but NVIDIA's auto replay broke on me.>>732179160>>732179795if i were to give up at this point it'd only bother me enough to go back to working on it.i think the only thing that could really kill this project is if i put the demo out and dont get enough volunteers for sprite art and music, but thats very unlikely with how many are in the community.
>>732181891There is a weird bug where sometimes after exiting fight, Val starts to go left no matter what I do.
>>732180160if it was before you were intimate with her she'd start stuttering, completely at a loss for words. We're talking looking around trying to figure out if its a prank, flustered, starting sentences before cutting off again just at a complete loss on how to react. now if it was post intimacy, she'd still be flustered, but not gasping for words and all that. She'd probably come closer to finishing sentences as she stammered, "A-anon you know I- I mean I never have uh. I mean I don't know if you, well if you want to we could maybe". she'd still be embarrased, but maybe a hint of nervous excitement that you'd ask her something like that. >>732180857the way this anon put it is what all men wish to experience before they die.either way, a little red under the feathers in both cases, but probably not in wide eyed shock in the second situation.
>>732182775Damn, this is really buggy, now I've run into a second game breaking bug game gets stuck with an empty text box when I attempt to use burn buster in the shadow boxer fight, stuck until I close the game
>>732183336which game is this one? DRY2?
>>732183960yeah
>>732183269I love it
>>732184171thank you for reading it anon, I'm glad I could the bird, tonight.
>>732184291it's a welcome reprieve from all the suffering
>>732182196>>732181891I'm back and already done. The platforming has hard filtered me. Its not just that its difficult platforming (which it is, especially for the first level of a game that isn't about platforming), its also bad platforming, the character slides around like he's on ice all the time and the controls are not suited to platforming at all. Not to mention constantly dying and being sent three rooms back because I fell in a pit is not fun.It sucks because I genuinely love the rest of this and want to play it.I understand that reworking the platforming will take time (and I seriously hope you actually do rework it) but in the mean time, could you please add some way to just skip the platforming so I can get on with the RPG part of the game?
>>732181891ok I've played a bit and also ran into the same bug this anon did >>732182775I did the tutorial fight and so far its good but I think the jump controls are too slippery, and those bullets in the overworld segment move a bit too fast for a first areawill play more of it later but so far good stuff
>>732182828Why not say Chief then. All Gordon ever manages to do in the long run is make life worse for all of his "friends" because he's a tool for forces beyond his comprehension which have no loyalty to Earth or humanity.
>>732181891Perhaps add more save points? I've only found the one near the dummy, and warping back to it everytime makes me cautious and slow - very unlike Val I'd say.Got into the same "and then Val went right" issue some people mentionned.Otherwise it's a nifty fangame. I like the 2D platforming, even if I spent 3-4 minutes to learn it correctly. It's keeping the exploration in the overworld dynamic
>>732184483also the grazing sound is really weird and threw me off, and it took me a bit to understand all the unique mechanics this game has compared to other UT stuff, but it was still interestingalso dunno if a bug or not but when I got the odd disc it went into the equip inventory but i couldn't equip it, then later when I checked it was in key items
>>732184336some horror is fun, but I want them to be happy. I hope they can be happy.
>>732184597please try to put spoilers in proper spoiler text, some of us haven't finished it yet
>>732184648you and me both
>>732184474I went back to try again, and it put me back before the fight tutorial, despite the fact that I saved multiple times after completing it.
Heya guys, Martlet Drawanon here to post some arts.I realized with the huge list of requests sent my way, it wouldn't be optimal to do a whole bunch of them, and post them all in one go.So I've decided I'm just going post the request image once I finish it. That way I can upload more consistently. With that said here's the first request of the list that I finished. Which was requested quite a lot, with reasons given, so I thought, yeah that makes sense! This image is Zenith Martlet taking in Clover's soul from the beginning. In other words, the event that leads into all the other stuff that will eventually happen in the other images I drew.As explained by the requestors, I never really showed the beginning, more aftermaths after it happened. You can view the image here:https://files.catbox.moe/5b2q6x.pngAnd just as a heads up, a separate normal Martlet version is being worked on to, as that was also highly requested. Thanks for all the support and kind words!
>>732184850ok now look, it's really good but I just want to say I wasn't really paying attention and got jumpscared by martlets pussy front and center on my monitor when I opened that.Good work though anon
Holy shit I despise these platforming sections. I have been stuck on this one room almost an hour. In addition to making this way easier, there needs to be a way to skip this shit entirely.
>>732185261I don't think they are THAT bad but they are way too slippery. Also maybe the jump arc shouldn't be locked and you should be able to turn midair (turn it off on wall jump to not allow cheesing?)Also maybe for the slide you could be required to just run and press down instead of also having to press the jump button
>>732185296I'm really interested in this talk of platforming in an undertale game, even if its a bit rough right now, I'm excited to try that out.
>>732184850Hot damn, I can tell you put a lot of effort into drawing Zenith Martlet here.Nice work anon.
>>732185296These are good, but cheesing should be allowed, anything to make the platforming easier. Hell add a platforming equivelent of temmie armor that I can get by dying a bunch. Also remove enemy encounters from platforming entirelyAlso it turns out I didn't even need to go that way. This game desperately needs better signposting. I spent an hour going the wrong way down a terrible platforming section because I couldn't see the south exit of the save room. Also also, this needs 3 or 4 times as many save points as it has.
>>732184850You're doing gods work Martlet Drawanon.Another quality Zenith Martlet image to add to the collection.
>>732184850 Another banger, Martlet Drawanon. You really captured the gravity of that moment in the expression work-there’s this solemn acceptance to Zenith’s face that hits hard, especially knowing what follows. Also appreciate you circling back to flesh out that origin point since, yeah, we mostly saw aftermaths before. Looking forward to the normal Martlet version too, curious how you’ll differentiate the tones. Keep 'em coming!
>>732185369wonder how long it will take for the girls to show up
>>732183075I keep myself afloat for now, but I imagine I'll be long gone before another ten years passes, one way or the other.Whatever grants one purpose.
>>732187103There's a character in this one that I can't tell the gender of
>>732183531>now if it was post intimacy, she'd still be flustered, but not gasping for words and all that. She'd probably come closer to finishing sentences as she stammered, "A-anon you know I- I mean I never have uh. I mean I don't know if you, well if you want to we could maybe". she'd still be embarrased, but maybe a hint of nervous excitement that you'd ask her something like that. Quite a clear picture being conveyed here, I'll do my best to capture such a scene once the first one is done.Thank you for your assistance.
>>732184592>All Gordon ever manages to do in the long run is make life worse for all of his "friends" because he's a tool for forces beyond his comprehension which have no loyalty to Earth or humanity.I dunno, I think blowing up the citadel and kicking the Combine off Earth was pretty straightforwardly beneficial for everyone on Earth at the time.
>>732184850This is a masterpiece anon, very well done.Glad there's now an a beginning image with Zenith Martlet and Clover now. With this image, we have now have a basis from when it all began.
>>732184850Zenith Martlet ripping Clover's soul from their still-warm corpse just to shove it up her vagina no lube
>>732187472I greatly look forward to the results of your efforts.
>>732186923After looking through the previous Martlet and Zenith Martlet images with Clover, it only just occurred to me that their wombs are completely different. The Martlet Drawanon made the extra effort to design their wombs to look different from one another, to further show the differences between the two forms.
>>732187465Which character?
this thread was blessed beyond all expectation.
>>732187403I used to be like you, wanting nothing more than to be a martyr. I figured if I didn't die doing something righteous sooner rather than later I'd end up burning in hell for wasting my life and disgracing myself with sin. I'd dream of dying in war somewhere so I could justify my own existence to God. This was mainly because I was (still am really) a dysfunctional person who couldn't work a job due to mental issues.Ironically it took me becoming physically injured and disabled from that to realize that I didn't need to justify my existence. I realized that if I'm here, it must be where I'm supposed to be, otherwise I wouldn't be so firmly stuck where I am. And if I am supposed to be here, then there's nothing wrong with me staying here, even if that means under achieving. I think it was hearing the confederate soldier's prayer read by Jimmy Dean (in a downtempo album of all places) while stuck in bed due to the aforementioned injury that finally lead me to that realizationsaid prayer goes something like this:>I asked God for strength, that I might achieve,>I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.>I asked God for health, that I might do greater things,>I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.>I asked for riches, that I might be happy,>I was given poverty, that I might be wise.>I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life,>I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.>I was given nothing that I had asked for, but everything that I had hoped for.>And despite myself, my prayers were answered>I am among all men, most richly blessedI don't know if you're a religious man, or if anything of what I said is helpful to you, but I seriously hope you'll abandon that mindset. You don't need to get yourself killed to be a good person. Just try to do the best at what you can do, and don't beat yourself up over what you can't do. And especially don't go throwing your life away because you feel like you need to justify yourself
>>732187403well, at least do your stretches every morning and eat well. you can't getting into arguments about your favorite scrimblos if you give up the ghost.
>>732188114I still want someone to invent a drawing of Mecha Shu.
>>732187515It wasn't going to kick the combine off of Earth, it was going to bring them back in force. Gman took Gordon out right as the Citadel exploded, and we know that if the vorts hadn't stepped in and kept him around, the the rift formed by the citadel would have become a super portal and brought untold numbers of combine forces into earth for reprisal.Even when he was brought back, he still ended up only managing to get Eli killed, leaving Kliener in charge of the rebels, making sure his plan of using the Borealis, which Eli knew was a bad idea, would be the one enacted. I haven't read Epistle 3, but I've heard things go poorly for the rebels and Gordon there.
>>732188106 the red shopkeep snake. It has rather effeminate eyes
>>732188158Hm.I appreciate these words, but I think there's a misunderstanding in what you think my mindset is.I view myself largely as though I am a machine, designed to accomplish a task. I would like to make the world a better place, before I cease to be.I believe I have made some strides towards this, breaking through what I considered to be my own mental and physical limits in the name of working towards the field I wish to work in, though I'm not there yet.Once I am there, and once I consider the world to have been improved by a certain amount, my work will be done, and I will no longer need to exist, which would be a good thing. There is very little more to it than that.If it's any consolation for you, I think it will be quite a long time until the world reaches my standards for being a "better place", so it looks like I just may be here a while. That "10 years" thing I said was a joke, mostly, I don't think I'll be so lucky as to get to leave so soon.
>>732188304>It wasn't going to kick the combine off of Earth, it was going to bring them back in force.I dunno, I think based on how G-Man talks in HL:A, I think his goal with everything going on on Earth was to use the Combine's presence on Earth to destabilize their overall system, before using Gordon on one of the Combines more important world to deal the killing blow, which is why he wanted to pull him out after the citadel was destroyed. However, since the Vortigaunts kept G-Man from taking Gordon away with him, now he's playing a different game for as long as he's seemingly stuck on Earth, and that involves whatever he has planned for Alyx.Generally speaking, I think it's safe to assume G-Man wants the Combine destroyed, he's just interested in more than just Earth.
>>732187749I'd imagine the interior of Zenith Martlet's vagina would naturally be lubricated. So it wouldn't really be much of an issue for her to take in Clover's soul.
>>732181891Ok so full write up now>Platforming is way too hard and is also just bad, get rid of most of stage hazards and make "dying" just send you back to the start of the platforming section. Completely remove spikes and enemy encounters from the platforming segments, and seriously decrease the number of bottomless pits>Sliding in the platforming segments is way too hard to do>Also please get rid of the slick floor physics that happen during the platforming sections>There are way too few save points>The overworld bullet dodging segments are too hard, make them easier>Multiple game breaking bugs during normal play>loading a save after closing a game resets a room to its original state, even if you saved after completing a cutscene, meaning you have to do the whole cutscene again>Game window is always on top. It shouldn't do that>You introduce way too many gameplay elements way too early and info dump them all on the player, I still have no idea how anything works despite beating the game. Cut half of that stuff and save it for a later chapter>The game ends way too abruptly, I genuinely thought it was bugged when I walked through a door and was instantly dumped at the endingYou really need play testers, and you probably should have made this at least playable from start to finish on one route before giving it to us. I don't think you need a writer, you're writing is great. I'll discuss that in my post about stuff I liked
>>732186923Glad I'm not the only one, I love the expression on Zenith Martlet's face, and the words she's speaking, which really conveys the scene well.
>>732188348got any pics? didn't get that far in the demo yet
>>732188712Now for what I liked. Major story spoilers here First of all, this game is really funny. I like all the dialogue involving Val, that concrete dragging gag with Zaer was hilarious. The duendes got a laugh out of me as well.the tutorial texts in the platforming section were funny. The ones about movement reminded me of the "to wipe your ass" gag from freeman's mind. On the subject of tutorials, I like how the main menu acts as a tutorial for the qte mechanic. Though I think you should include an option to make the glyphs on the qtes be z x c instead of those icons, its easier to use that wayIs the shopkeep snake a girl? I like the design either wayI really like the explorer's guild, and the concept of OOB areas. Its a really good explanation for why none of this appears in Undertale, and it adds to the meta stuff in the main game. Makes me want to see some of those out of bounds areas. As a side note, in one of the platforming sections, I managed to get on top of the level. You should add secrets there, maybe an entrance to one of those oob areas so we can see the Undertale farlandsI also really like the implications of Val's shadow boxer actually damaging him. I hope this is a setup for some big narrative payoff later. Like his shadow boxer actually being real and a late game boss, or maybe he has the ability to astral project and he uses it (along with whatever the source of that power is) later in a serious fightI found Val's walk cycle in the platforming section to be hilariousI liked the fake out puzzleall in all, its got potential, but it needs a lot of work. I like the writing, but the game needs serious rebalancing and bug fixing, and in the future you should try to make demos more feature complete before dropping them on us so we can give proper feedback. Like that "boss" probably should have been cut entirely from a demo if that's all we see of him in it.
>>732188367nta, or rather i'm the anon before that anon. I guess it doesn't really matter. I knew a person who said something along the lines of that ten years comment, but they were someone who had a lot of potential, then just gave up completely and let themselves rot away. just waiting for death. I'm glad to hear that's not the case. watching these threads, seeing people try new things, learn and contribute, it's rough watching someone fall into that "I'm worthless, I'll just sit here until I die" doomer mindset, when people can make all of this wild stuff in the thread if they just find something that sparks the inner autism. I think that's probably enough off topic and all, the threads just really have the opposite of that gloom and doom nothing matters energy, and it had me thinking.
>>732188887Unfortunately, there's a bug that keeps me from backtracking, so I can't get any pictures.
>>732188367>I view myself largely as though I am a machineI did too, or more accurately I viewed myself as a tool which was obligated to fulfill that task, and I hated myself because I knew I couldn't do it.Its not a healthy mindset to have. You're not a machine, you're a person with a soul whose important to those around him and who has feelings and needs that he should be looking after.
>>732189290You shouldn't worry too much about me, honestly.I'm perfectly fine with what I have assigned myself to, and I still engage in typical human endeavors on my way there.Like the drawings, for instance. It's like the scientist from SOMA, I'm okay with being disposable, it's not like there's much I can do against that anyway.Anywho, I'll be getting back to it now.I appreciate the effort on your part, but it reminds me of rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.Trust me, I'm fine, as the other anon said, let's not make things all doom and gloom.
>>732188498I don't think the gman has good intentions, at least not for Earth. I think good and evil may not apply to beings like him and his "employers" if they even exist. The combine is this massive amoral machine that spans universes, and Gman seems to be something even stranger than them. I don't even know if he wants the combine destroyed, or why he would. Some people say he's a grub, but we don't know that. We don't know anything about him apart from the chaos he causes and the utter distrust everyone who works with him develops for him.
>>732189484What did you draw?
>>732184850People here are eating well with this image. You knocked it out of the park.I enjoy seeing these scenarios and how things progress with Zenith Martlet and Clover.
>>732189586I've made a number of drawings for these threads, two batches of requests, and some miscellaneous other things. The most recent batch had that one with Ceroba and an Anon cuddling, people seemed to like that one. Surprisingly not too much UTY HMOFA out there, it feels like stuff like that would be more abundant.Anyway, I'm currently working on that thing about the milk, but damn if things don't keep popping up. Should have the lineart done tonight, at least.

>>732189161>>732188887okay I got it, here is the snake>>732189797it's literally in the first room after the slide when you start a new game, when you check the box

>>732192859I feel a little called out because I can't right now.Did immediately download it though.
You think we'll start having Naranja threads at some point, or will they just become more generalized "fangame" threads?
Kiss her.
>>732193485Technically, they're already threads for fan games.I'm pretty sure they're labeled "Undertale Yellow" for people using catalog filters to hide or find them to find it.
>>732193551Yeah, but I mean like, a specifically Naranja themed thread with appropriate discussion.Ooh, when are we getting the first Naranja nsfw?
>>732193485I am sure we will. The game has something DRY really doesn't and that's wall to wall new content. Say what you will about DRY, but its reuse of the UTY cast makes its feel more like an expansion of UTY than a separate game, and that causes them to share discussion.
>>732193485>>732193623>You think we'll start having Naranja threads at some pointDepends on how much content the game has, remember that something as big as TS!Underswap only got threads for about 2 weaks before they started dying out>or will they just become more generalized "fangame" threads?this is literally a fangame thread, UTY isn't the main topic of this one>Ooh, when are we getting the first Naranja nsfw?once one of the drawanons play it and only if they enjoy it
>>732193846>once one of the drawanons play it and only if they enjoy itI apparently made the first nsfw for Oldentale, but maybe one of the monsters from Naranja will catch my eye whenever I get around to it, assuming someone else doesn't beat me to it.
>>732193846>, remember that something as big as TS!Underswap only got threads for about 2 weaks before they started dying outI think that's because it was a swap. Tired concept doing tired things to tired characters. Well executed though it may be, its still one many, many other swaps that have done similar things. There really aren't any other completed fangames like yellow.
The links to Naranja are on litterbox and not catbox, someone needs to archive them and put them on the fangames archive
>>732181891And so ends my Naranja adventure, my character cannot move left or right or do anything, I don't know why, but I suppose for debug purposes it's worth noting that I used "check" in the battle and was in full screen.Nevermind just tabbed back in and I can move now. I will continue
>>732195664I had to close and reopen my game a bunch throughout my playthrough. It has a lot of really gamebreaking bugs like that.

>>732196239But what about a less-correct, but funnier term?
>>732181891I feel like I shouldn't have this many copies
>>732197143>>732181891oh yeah, there's an item duplication glitch involving saves
Well the final boss seemed to skip straight to the post fight cutscene so I couldn't fight it, but the creativity on display throughout the game is admirable and inspiring, and makes me want to give creativity a chance so you won there.
>>732193623Naranja will probably require a bit more meat before it can sustain a thread on its own
Welp, I'm going to bed. This thread'll most certainly be long gone by the time I wake up in like 6 hours, but this was a pretty good one, this was fun.See ya next time everyone.
God fucking dammit, seeing all these bugs is embarrassing, I swear to god the games wasn't such a mess when I tested it, I played through it two times in a row and it wasn't this broken, I don't know what happened, I'll try to fix it by the end of the day, tomorrow at the latest, I'm sorry for all the problems

I apologize to every single anon that had to play that pre-alpha, I fucked up really bad and there is no excuse for it. This version should fix the most noticiable bugs, like not being able to stop moving after a fight, the game locking if you use the special act on the shadowboxer, the item duplication upon dying in the overworld or the lack of the fucking mini boss.Again make sure to run antiviruses and yada yadahttps://litter.catbox.moe/b16fsep6lzp7v449.rar (Win 64bits)https://litter.catbox.moe/okwrryv2a25610jl.rar (Win 32bits)https://litter.catbox.moe/pxewmubpras4x67u.rar (Linux 64bits)Whoever runs the MTT fangames archive, if you are going to add the links of Naranja's previous version, make sure to clarify that that version is bugged. On the bright side, I'm sure no other anon will fuck up as much as I did once they post their fangame, I set the bar pretty high
>>732204015Eh, it's what alphas are for, don't beat yourself up too much. I'm just glad to have something to play, and you apparently fixed the most glaring issues.

I'll have to fix those eventually too>>732199742>Also I am specifically going to download the busted as fuck version so I can see what people are talking about, sorry.I don't mind it, but its not that interesting, its mostly an annoying bug after each fight, your entire inventory getting duplicated when you die and the lack of the mini boss, speaking of which, any anon that played the bugged version, if you continue your save in the current version you should be able to fight the mini boss as intended

>>732183269Beautiful story anon. The way you depict their emotes and balance the conversation is amazing! Martlet's plan was also quite smart. By the end I was going d'awwwww, it was so adorable.Personally I always thought Martlet would whistle rather than hum, but that's just interpretation.>Starlo stared with his eyes cockedYou cock your eyebrows, not eyesWild East should be capitalized>straightened outstraightened his back would be a better visual>Sounds like he’d be going from the frying pan to the freezer if ya catch my drift.Kek, I liked this one>>732188158Based anon here with good advice. The only thing I ask from God, besides strength for the upcoming trials, is my own Martlet or Applejack. She doesn't have to be like them, just someone I can cherish, trust, and continue a legacy with.
>>732208767Why is Clover missing an eye?
>>732213653I appreciate you reading it anon! I was worried that the conversation would feel like it was dragging out, or that it may be hard to tell who was talking.>You cock your eyebrows, not eyesnoted, I was trying to think of how to keep the reactions varied, and remembered there was an expression "something along those lines" but wasn't sure if I was getting that one right. >Wild East should be capitalizedall I can say there is "oops", and thanks for catching that>straightened his back would be a better visualI think I can see that, it better depicts how he's actually "straightening out" right?>Kek, I liked this oneI'm glad! I wanted to fit a little personality in without it being a goof show, and I think Starlo is really cool >Personally I always thought Martlet would whistle rather than hum, but that's just interpretation.I think she'd definitely whistle at times, but quietly humming, perhaps a song she vaguely remembered from her own mother from when she was really young herself, felt like what a tired mother might do without thinking too much.
>>732184962>jumpscared by Martlet's pussyThat's something I wasn't expecting to hear. XDWell I'm sure that experience will be a memorable one.Thank you!
>>732214518I was really sleepy at that point, so I just opened the image without thinking and just got blasted with "4k surround sound martlets pussy in cinemax"but yeah no hate intended, was just an "experience"
>>732214518>>732203527milktruc just arrive
>>732199804What if Sans fucked Ceroba or Martlet
>>732215897its been said before, but I'm glad the devs managed to restrain themselves and not add sans in the game
so one more thread comes to an end and the fics still have not updated
>>732216151it was a good thread. lots of really significant deliveries, survey2 anon and dry2 anon showing up, it was peak video games discussion honestly
>>732216293and of course, NARANJA
>>732215897I much prefer Sans not be shoehorned into every Undertale fangame or fanwork because he happens to popular. It gets to a points where you get sick of seeing him.The fact Wildfire aims to have a cast comprised of solely original characters already makes it better than most fangames in my book.
>>732215897These threads would die as all Ceroba and Martlet waifufags would disappear.
>>732216345Don't forget Martlet Drawanon to.
>>732215949The mystery behind Sans's backstory only getting bigger as he appeared in the first two chapters of Deltarune probably further motivated them not to have any involvement of the skelebros in UTY. Clearly a lot of shit happened to him in Deltarune before he came to Undertale.>The "don't forget" card in his workshop.>Doesn't like making promises, except to Undertale's Toriel.>Gave up "trying to go back" to Hometown a long time ago.>Tells Frisk "you'll never see em again" and to "just give up, I did" as a lost soul during Asriel's fight.>In the MTT Hotel with Frisk, tells them that, hadn't he made that promise to Toriel, they'd be dead where they stand. He is a massive can of worms that we STILL have yet to open, four chapters into Deltarune.
>>732216490Yes! So many things happened this thread it's hard for me to sum it all up without missing something.
>>732216536>SansessBoring and overdone.
>>732216536>>In the MTT Hotel with Frisk, tells them that, hadn't he made that promise to Toriel, they'd be dead where they stand. What the fuck was his problem?
>>732216732Kris had to have done SOMETHING incredibly fucked up before he bounced to a completely different universe is my guess.
>>732217236roba living up to her MILFness
>>732217287a foxy grandma perhaps even one day.
>>732217576if only
>>732217707Oh my dear lord I haven't seen that one. There's so much going on in the image too.
>>732204843fits Sans perfectly
>>732199876can't believe that comic is now canon
>>732208767I have to agree with those other guys. This one being intentionally creepy somehow makes it less unnerving. Like I no longer expect one of them to unhinge their jaw and swallow the other one, or to whip out the fetish transformation serum.
>>732216151Sorry anon, I know my story is not a fic you have been waiting for but I'm still procastrinating on writing it.
>>732204015As long as that wasn't the intended experience, no harm done. I was harsh earlier because I thought that was the latest build. If you accidentally got a debug build mixed up with the release one, then its a lot more understandable. Also, you work fast at fixing these. My advice is still get a play tester, but its friendly advice.
>>732210918Its not, but it the art style makes it feel like it should be weird.
>>732212197You've probably never had first hand experience with the kind of weirdo artstyle we're talking about.
>>732161425>>732184850>>732214518You're art still isn't as good a Sig's art, or the others here.Nothing you draw, will motivate or inspire others to draw and write like Sig's art, or the others talented anons here.Your creations will never got the anons here write or draw stuff based on what you've drawn.I'll say it again, your stuff isn't that great, and your not doing much for this threads either.
>>732217947yeah thats a good way of putting it. I hope that whatever subtle shifts helped it not be like "that" are carried over into their normal art. Not many people do dadjin stuff in the first place
this week had low kanaclover contenthopefully it picks up
>>732215897I feel like Ceroba would try to murder Sans before he got that far, and Martlet probably would have more in common with Papyrus.
732218224I hope that draw anon has the good sense to ignore this idiot. I know artists can get in their heads, but despite the unusual nature of drawanons work, it's quality regardless
>>732218320It's all about Cole x Kanako now.
>>732216151We got a Naranja demo, I think that's enough
>>732218378I include it all under the same umbrella
>>732218345I think martlet would get along with papyrus, but I dont think it would be enough to shack up with him personally. but we had a long drawn out conversation about that the other day, and we're too close to the end to retread that now.
>>732218425>>732218320best I can give you is childhood friend stuff eventually when I get around to it. I'm not mentally ready to try romance stuff yet.
>>732217236mai wife
>>732218491and while I know it opposes shipping for some people the thought of Kanako calling Clover "big brother" does things to my heart, so you may have to deal with that at some point down the line. best I can do is a solid "maybe"
>>732218491I'll take it
>>732218241Honestly, I think they just need to sharpen up their character's features more. Right now its in this weird uncanny state of well drawn enough to work for porn, but lacking enough detail and sharpness to be the work of a professional, so it ends up looking like the kind of bizarre art that an outsider artist whose had years of practice drawing porn would make.
>>732218352I'm just patiently for the fanworks and fics of the Martlet Drawanons stuff to made by the anons here. Then I can silently laugh as this dumbass gets proven wrong time and time again. And the best part is the list of fics and fanart of their work is only going to get bigger over time. The hater can cope.
>>732218683that could be it, and that could be why the last image feels nicer since it is indeed a bit sharper.
