It's fun but it's not as in-depth as the old BF2. I bought it for like $4 though.

EA fucked that series up bad with pulling that shit. It's been almost 10 years since that happened and when you think of battlefront 2 , it comes across a lot of peoples minds of what EA did at the beginning then anything else relating about the game.

after this game was so controversial they actually put shitlload of work into it and its genuinely pretty good. insanely high production value and now at least theres lots of good gememodes that weren't in release big issue for me is they didnt add split screen functionality which is the main reason i dont play it as much as id like to

I dunno if it was cause I was a student in Uni with no job but I never thought Battlefront 2 was pay2win or had especially bad microtransactions. The hate it got always felt overblown

Battlefront 2 is genuinely the best game Dice has ever made and I will forever fucking hate EA for ripping the devs off it and forcing them to try and save Battleshit 2047 before they could add Ashoka and Ventress to the game.They're still in the game files.

It's better than the old one in every way. The only thing that's annoying is scripted on-rails LAAT. Otherwise, it provides infinitely more immersive and audio-visually incredible Star Wars spectacle compared to the ugly, clunky old game. EA abandoning the game was a mistake.
I remember enjoying the shitty jawa blaster when it came out, had a decent time playing it with a friend for awhile on release
