>>732189087People are gonna get opinionated but honestly any version will do. If you're playing the PC version at the very least install the mod loader so you can restore the music, fix the controls, and bypass the Square Enix launcher (these are all built in to the loader).I think the upscale mods look fine but your mileage may vary. Same goes for any model updates. Ninostyle is typically the highest quality but the overworld animations are all made with those blocky lego models in mind so even if you use the chibi models for that your mileage once again may vary. Most of the UI mods suck so I wouldn't even bother if I were you
