If you're having FPS issues, after changing your settings, restart the game. I was switching settings around only to find out that even if you go from high to low without a restart, it fucks everything up for some reason. That said, there's some setting that I'm not autistic enough to pinpoint in lower settings that isn't working properly. Switching from high preset to anything below standard gives me MORE cpu use and far less frames. 3080 with a 10700k, both at stock, and playing on max without framegen I get 60 fps most of the time minus areas with water, where it's going from 53 to 60.Not great by any means. Something weird is going on with some of the settings.

Damn near every Yokai enemy has bright yellow accents to accentuate the spirit stones that are evident in most of the designs. Many others also have deep, neon reds as well, giving many of them an ominous appearance. The design for all of them are great, and makes them stand out to the to more muted colors of the environments. Nioh 2 has very good art direction.

I was getting 100% CPU usage regularly with abysmal temps and overall pretty bad performance especially in the crucible and snake lady arena. Turned off game boost for my CPU in bios and now cpu usage is at 45%,, crucible runs significantly better with way better temps. Snake lady fight still runs pretty shit though.

If you deal enough ki damage again to the black bar, you can get a grapple (final blow?) on the Yokai for big damage. I suspect that just like Nioh 2, cursed enemies will be a thing where getting that final blow (grapple?) to remove the cursed effect. But that comes later.
