All digital sales of cross-gen games count towards Switch 1 software, it's artificially propping those up even if someone bought and only plays that game on Switch 2.

Who cares, I bought a Wii, been playing wii and gamecube games on it. Not like the Switch + 2 has anything worth playing in comparison to those systems... that have about the same amount of graphics.

It came with a majority of sales of the system, later replaced by Bananza, which got 4m sales and was also part of a bundle.
Also it's funny as hell that the average number of games bought per system is 2, it means most people are probably buying the NS2 just to play upscaled Switch 1 games, or they bought it and they're letting it collect dust because the system still has nogaems.

Come to think of it, does the 37m include the free MKW copies?
Imagine if the average number of game sales per console was ONE.
