If a hero shooter was made with the gameplay of a hack n slash that takes inspiration from all other hack n slashes like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, God of War, Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, etc, complete with PvE, PvP, or PvEvP, could it work?

They already did that, it was called Anarchy Reigns.

No. You can't focus on one enemy to combo since you'll just get smoked by their teammate.

Didn't Devil's Third already do that?

I fucking hate normies. Bayonetta is the least hack and slash game out there. It's like none of yall actually watched the cutscenes. Bayonetta uses her guns most of the time and so should you. Holding down the attack button is how you fire her guns, and is how you do the most DPS and generate the highest score. Combine that with learning dodge offset and Bayonetta becomes the best Gun Fu game on the market

Or just use the sword, like every other basic bitch and never try to get pure platinum. Heaven forbid you interact with the main gameplay mechanic

>combo based combat
Never do that. If it's easy to automate ala shooting it will be automated and the game will end up cheater infested.
