OR A GRINCH?
>GRUNCH
>>
Why would they? They can just put a little more effort into it and sell it on Steam as the next friendslop hit.

because they killed flash! ;-;
>>

I get what you mean but google play or mobile in general is the worse offender here.
Free flash games from the 200X era run circels around todays phone games.
>>
>>732198529
Truly a regrettable loss for the web.
>>
>>732198240
This game is so good man because there are many times I feel like spanking my PC. Should have a sequel.
>>
>>732198240
Final Fellatio X-2 still works so I'm happy.
>>
>>732198529
You don't need flash anymore to have a browser game.
>>
flash is kill
there is no money to be made in browser games

They still do, there's plenty of those on itchio. The problem is it's too much of a mixed bag with random garbage like fetish games or visual novels so it's hard to find something worthwhile.
>>
I played a browser MMO called Lands of Lords that was pretty fun. It's still around as well if anyone wants to give it a go
>>
We had a game called "Inselkampf" in Germany here (Islandbattles)
Literally over 500k registered players having no graphics just one island and expanding and conquering otehr islands with it.
Me and my friends palyed it it was great fun.
Nom icrotransactions, no bullshit just browser game based fun

tl;dr: you (a contractor) and a glowie break into an alien biocomputer
its not finished yet but i'd still recommend giving it a go, there's a shit ton of side content so make sure to explore around.

the death of flash represents the death of the user-focused web

>mfw the door is the same as the door needing a keycard in the abyss in front of the selfaltered memory that protected the important memory
Also if the action sequences lag like shit for you and are on FF then just look up how to not make steam lag on FF anymore.
>>
>>732198240
why would they when they can release it on steam as shovelware and charge for it?
>>
>>732198240
Just go play Archmage. They renamed it The Reincarnation like 15 years ago I think.
>>
>>732200121
I was stuck for like 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do when all I had to do was advance log...
>>
>>732203423
lol those are hard caps to advance yes. Later down the line you get more to explore that isn't just main plot.
>>
They do, YOU simply do not play them. Newgrounds still gets new games usually 2-3 times a week (they get more but I'm talking about games that aren't slop).
the main issue is most engines that people could use for easy games are dead. you have like, pico8, and that's it for someone new to start with.
>>
>>732198240
Because Flash didn't work on phones properly before it died. Now you get more out of making a shitty phone app and filling it with ads after every level.
Nobody wants to make a genuine passion product anymore when it's so easy to monetize it instead.
>>
>>732203807
flash worked fine on (android) phones though, it was basically native. It was google that took that accessibility away for no reason, citing "security concerns" that didn't actually exist.
>>
>>732198476
I remembered that guy's exact expression as soon as I saw the thumbnail. How many hours must I have spent playing this for that to happen?

Here you go friend :)
>>
you can just play actual video games in browsers now, there's nothing setting them apart anymore.
>>
>>732198240
man, i think this is the first flash game i ever played
>>
>>732198240
yeah most of what is mentioned in this thread is the gist of it.
still you can play on newgrounds and you can download flashpoint to get a large swathe of what was considered lost.
>>
>>732203851
>didn't actually exist
tThey do, security against (YOU)
Security against the money they can make from stupid goys
