A gaming crash like the '80s isn't happening anytime soon. If anything, a modern day gaming crash MIGHT see people replaying older games in lieu of newer games, but even this doesn't mean shit because AAA studios can just re-release an older game with higher res assets and people will still buy it since most of the retro craze is full of zoomers that couldn't be bothered to play a game with non-standard control schemes. Gaming in its current form is here to stay, it's not changing and it's not dying. The only way it'll actually die is if whales stop existing and that's not happening anytime soon.
