Absolutely. It's better in a lot of important ways.
the story and dialogue is a lot more fun in 4.1 I think, but it's missing a lot of qol improvements, so it can be hard to go back to, but it's still a ton of fun
I played 4.1 before I played 5 and I like 4.1 better
