It's a mobile app. You have to pay to actually start training past the 100 basic kanji or so, but considering I can now read native material and know how to (more or less) properly write kanji I've never seen before, it was probably the best money I've ever spent.I can't actually write most characters from memory most of the time. In fact a majority of Japanese people can't. But it helped train my brain to recognize the internal structure of kanji, which is step one of learning to write. Afterwards, you would actually have to practice writing from memory actively, and I never did that.
