>buy single game>get thousands of hours out of it>other game devs mad because I'm not spending my money buying their game
Didn't the devs increase the price due to "inflation" in 2023? They also said that it's against their philosophy to put the game on sale if I remember correctly. They sound like turbojews desu
>>732216354If you think such behavior is jewish then you know fuck all about jews my man.Selling a fantastic product for an honest price, no "sales", no scheming, is the exact opposite of what a jew would do.
>>732216354If you hate them so much just pirate it
>the guy thinks inflation isn't real>the guy who got filtered by oil processing>the guy who wants factorio to be an RTS>the guy who asks for gleba nudes
wheres the battle pass? wheres the mtx?
>>732216354Opposite of jews. Everyone who owns the game is happy, and people who don't own the game are unhappy. Why would they make current owners unhappy to satisfy people who never bought the game? That's jewish.
I keep seeing this game and yet I have no idea what it is about other than it looks like pure unfiltered autism.
>>732216002The only thing I can say I didnt like is quality.Imo they should have made it harder to unlock but after you do it you can easily make items in a certain quality. And making a higher quality item using lower quality items by making it cost more perhaps.Currently, or at least the last time I played a few months ago I didnt even find it worth to try make items between normal and epic quality, unlocked epic and did the space cassino thing. Anyway space cassino goes brrrrrr
>>732218041Autism kryptonite. You automate everything instead of having to autistically placing every little part like minecraft all the way to endgame.
>>732216354good goy, make sure to go out and buy a 'discounted' TV for only $2000 this year black friday instead of the "usual" price of $5000
>>732218041Build things to make things to build more things
>>732218126>Anyway space casino goes brrrrrrhell yeah
>>732218126That's the opposite experience. Legendary was a waste of time, epic and rare is good enough.
>>732218041Its a building game at its very core. If you like building games, this is pretty much the best you can get.
>>732218126Yeah Quality seems like a "Hey let's give the 2% of players who megabase a way to increase their productivity without having to put in a bunch of extra dev time"On a more personal note, I'm 100% filtered by Space AgeI start a game thinking "This is gonna be great" and by the time I leave Nauvis, I have no energy leftMaybe it's just psychological, how that used to be the endgame, and now my brain says "Ok time to go to another game"
>>732216354You say that, but really the only people who complained about the price increase were people who didn't own it, waiting for it to go on offer (never ever).People who already had it agreed it was justified as they already had multiple thousand hours into it so instead of $0.02/hour return on their investment they now had $0.03/hour.Because sure, it got more expensive, but it was always getting better along side it.So you tell me who the actual cheapskates are here.
>>732218342It's a factory game. Adding quality adds an interesting and realistic mechanic, and it's optional.
>>732218342Factorio is the type of game I like to play it once every six months but I play it for 3 weeks straight, and then drop for another 6 months. When I get in the mood again I want to try some of the planets modders are doing.
>>732216354damn that's crazy !
>>732218126Yeah. Every quality between 0 and max (whatever you have unlocked) are too niche to be worth the hassle of carrying around/stocking.
>>732219375>no mod browser
>>732219527Rare big mining drills are a nice thing to have while you unlock better tiers so you can slap them down and forget about your resource patches practically until very late into the game
>>732216002>Blow 60 bucks>Now 4k hours in>Still haven't beat the game>Still haven't mastered all planets>Still figuring out how to move shit between planets>Still learning how to properly make a decent cost-efficient platform that makes journeys between Aquillo and the Inner-planetsBest 60 bucks of my fucking life, honestly. No other game has this much replay value. And I've still got thousands of hours more until I start doing challenge runs with Rampant and the like. There's some really cool mods and all I've touched so far is vanilla.
>>732219527Yep. Middle qualities are really inefficient in terms of the most valuable resource in the game: the player's time and attention. It's just not worth micromanaging all the different supplies of different qualities and taking the extra time to make quality setups. I'm genuinely at a point where I'm pretty sure the optimal strategy is to completely ignore the game mechanic until legendary is unlocked, and then just treat the middle qualities purely as intermediates for legendary.
>>732216002250hours into space exploration and still having fun. First overhaul mod ive ever played.
I just wish there were more builds posted in Factorio threads. It's always bitching about the price which is such a non-issue since the devs themselves encourage you to pirate it if you want to try it out.
>>732216354>Didn't the devs increase the price due to "inflation" in 2023?why the scare quotes? should they not increase the price or something?if it continues to be maintained, why shouldn't it continue to earn them the same income? they didn't even do it to earn MORE money, only to keep up with inflation.
>>732220674People are so used to manipulative marketing strategies that they get spooked when an actually fair, reasonable price system is presented to them.
>>732220526>I just wish there were more builds posted in Factorio threads. If you really do want to see builds, then its best if you go to the engineering games general.
>>732219842Prepare to lose at least another 80 hours on Krastorio 2, 300 hours on Space Exploration, 400 hours on K2+SE, 400 hours on Bob&Angel's, 400 hours on Sea-Block, 600+ hours on Nullius once it finally gets ported to v2.0, and of course - 1400+ hours on Pyanodon's full suite. And then you can still double down on Pyanodon's HARD MODE which actually ups that with even further complexity. And if putting your balls in that vice isn't enough for you, there's always PyBlock.Which - yes; is the SeaBlock idea but based on Py. And - yes; you can combine it with Py Hard Mode as well. You will have aged another 10 to 15 years by the time Factorio is done with you. No- I did not confuse the subject and object in that sentence. You're going to find out that "The factory must grow" isn't just a cute slogan. It's an axiom. Irrefutable manifest truth.
>>732218126I barely used quality the first playthrough, only really using it for spaceship parts which were pretty big increases over normal quality. Second playthrough been using this mod that guarantees you get a higher quality level but there's a sort of production chain you have to do. It ends up being pretty complex and I still haven't unlocked epic/legendary yet but just getting rare stuff required a lot of work but once it's setup, you're going to always get rare stuff of things you want, assuming your production keeps up.
I play it every once and awhile but it has never hooked me in. I don't like games with long investments. I like games where you can pick up and go.
