What I find to be amazing is that the "lore" makes less sense than ever and it simultaneously has never been more insistent that it has a plot.

They have no idea how the old games worked. They wrote a big complicated script (like Game of Thrones), made no attempt to explain half of it and then called it "mysterious". Half of it you find out by reading an item description and the half of it makes literally no sense.

The Big Tree is dying, or something.

Whenever I fight Beast Clergyman, the game stutters near the start of the fight when he does his rock stuff for the first time and I don’t know why. The game runs at a perfect 60 on max settings elsewhere and doesn’t struggle against more resource intensive attacks like dragon lightning stuff.

The game suffered from unplayable lag as soon as you leave the starting cave and encounter the first Tree Sentinel. There's a "reason", but no one's ever going to know what it is. They just don't understand their own API and push the games out without proper playtesting.

Why is there a giant city underground in a giant empty cavern with exactly 2 magical elevators with no apparent means of being powered.

We tried having a discussion about this with Elden Ring fans before. It made no sense for 5 different reasons, it goes beyond the domain of fantasy writing and just makes no sense in general.

Something extremely powerful moved a giant city underground. All of it. They took Bikini Bottom and moved it somewhere else. The streetlights, the plumbing, the postal service, all of the shrubbery and some guy that happened to be staying with family.
It's unclear whether there was a giant empty cavern there before or whether god also moved unfathomable amounts of earth and put it somewhere else.
If the giant cavern was there before, it's unclear whether it was directly under the city by pure coincidence. Or whether god moved it from somewhere else.

The thing that really does me in is that there are 2 magical floating Crash Bandicoot platforms that lets anyone leave for any reason at any point.
Who is powering them. Why.
How is whoever banished the lost city of Atlantis not mad about this. If they do care, why are they able to do this but not able to stop them making a fucking elevator.
They made exactly 2 of these elevators that can accommodate a maximum of 3 people all huddled together trying not to fall a thousand feet to their death.
You find them in the middle of the woods.

This is "Poochie went back to his home planet" levels of writing. Absolutely disgraceful.

I think the biggest issue in this game is that once your tarnished tips the balance of power theres no resurgence from the other candidates from the throne. They all wait on you to get there and fight them and only like 1 has an excuse of being too insane to lead his army anymore.
You basically blitz the fuck out of the rest of the demigods no matter how many times you die, with Rykard, Ranni, and Fia all relying on you siding with them to change anything, while the rest of the round table hold never show any sign of progress or effort.

>Why is there a giant city underground in a giant empty cavern with exactly 2 magical elevators with no apparent means of being powered.
The Eternal Cities angered the Greater Will, so he buried them all underground. One, the Grand Cloister, was so heretical that he sent an Astel to nuke it into oblivion.

The elevators are powered by magic. The Nox guard their cities, which are already ruined and dead. Like many soldiers, they merely guard what once was, not what could be.
>>
>>732218084
Why cant they just dig into the ground using their giant ants
Then build a city down there
And jerk off over the stars enough to paint the ceiling of the cavern with starlight

Plenty a rocks ro build wiff
Ants for labor
Magic tech for floating elevators (they literally use bubble magic i think they know how to float)
>>

What I find not very amazing is that you've been making seethe threads about the best game ever made twice a day for four years.
>the "lore" makes less sense than ever
It makes perfect sense. You are just stupid.
>They wrote a big complicated script (like Game of Thrones),
It's not that complicated at all. The basic plot is very straight forward. There are also hundreds of little world building mini stories scattered around to flesh out the setting and themes, all of which are themselves generally straight forward.
>>
>>732218431
The only one in the Table that wants to become Lord is Gideon, the others have their own objectives.
>>
>>732218536
>The Eternal Cities angered the Greater Will, so he buried them all underground.
That's what was said. We actually know this isn't the case because the cities are carved into the stone itself. People on the surface say, "the greater will did it", in the same way that people would blame disease and natural disasters on God in antiquity. What actually ended the Nox civilization was the creation of the silver tears, who killed and replaced their creators. Astel was also a random invading alien, as you find half a dozen of all over the country.
>>
>>732218530
You literally cannot get more broad and general than this. I'm looking at this from a bird's eye view and saying that it makes no sense.

>>732218536
>The Eternal Cities angered the Greater Will, so he buried them all underground.
"God did it". Gotcha.

Apparently there is more than one and he did grab handfuls of earth miles and miles in diameter and threw it somewhere else.

>The elevators are powered by magic.
What is the source of this power?
Who is doing this and why?

Harry Potter is a thousand times more well written than this. Magic isn't something that just shows up whenever they have an idea and don't feel like thinking about how it makes sense.

Because the night folk like the dark
>with exactly 2 magical elevators with no apparent means of being powered.
They're MAGIC ELEVATORS, RETARD.
>Something extremely powerful moved a giant city underground. All of it.
No, it was built underground. Most of it is literally carved FROM the cave walls, and even the cave CEILING. Some tree fags say, "the greater will did it", because they are uneducated bumpkins, and blame any random phenomena on the will of God.

Of course, if the fucking CREATOR GOD OF THE UNIVERSE just wanted to snap his fingers and teleport a whole city into a cave intact, he could, because that's what divine magic does. The impossible.

You fundamentally do not understand fantasy or religion and should go back to overwatch.

The elevator buildings look new and the magic is blue so it was probably the Carians. We know they are interested in the nox because they copied the silver tear alchemical technology when developing the albinaurics.

But let me ask you a question: how is it meaningful to the story who built a magic elevator leading to the siofra and ainsel rivers?

Right like the reaction image from 2008 says, "It's magic, I ain't gotta explain shit".

You say the word "magic" and literally anything and everything makes sense.

>No, it was built underground. Most of it is literally carved FROM the cave walls, and even the cave CEILING. Some tree fags say, "the greater will did it", because they are uneducated bumpkins, and blame any random phenomena on the will of God.
You're arguing with other Elden Ring fans. I'm literally just asking questions.

>You fundamentally do not understand fantasy or religion
Apparently not.
I thought I liked Lord of the Rings because world behaved consistently and had compelling writing despite having fantastical elements.

Why didn't someone build a magic Crash Bandicoot platform to lift themselves up to the top of the Erdtree? This is my final question
>>
THere were gods, elevated from some cosmic shit
One of the god's children decided that it was gay because they were gods only as long as they aligned with the cosmic shit designs and killed another god
The goddest of god mommy decided to break the monolith and holiest representation of that pseudo religion because she felt sad and angry
Other gods fought for crumbs of the broken artifact

You arrive as a player

And I haven't seen shit on youtube lore
>>
>>732219080
Using elevators as evidence for anything is monumentally retarded because no elevator in any of the Fromsoft series justifies its mechanism. You just step on a pressure plate and it goes. Even in long-dead cities.
>>
>>732219591
>Why didn't someone build a magic Crash Bandicoot platform to lift themselves up to the top of the Erdtree? This is my final question
Fundamentalism allowed elevators because of the principles of causality and regression but the people that would make use of it could teleport.

>The Eternal Cities angered the Greater Will, so he buried them all underground.
The Nox were chased into the underground and built their cities there on purpose.
One, the Grand Cloister, was so heretical that he sent an Astel to nuke it into oblivion.
Astel arrived much later, not necessarly because of the GW's anger.
>"God did it". Gotcha.
In a fantasy setting, that's an appropriate explanation (but it's likely wrong in this case).
>Apparently there is more than one and he did grab handfuls of earth miles and miles in diameter and threw it somewhere else.
Or they used digging magic and black hola magic (both present in the game) to do it themselves. Or, more likely, the caves were already there.
>What is the source of this power?
Astrology, as explained in the game.
>Who is doing this and why?
The inhabitants of the cities, so they can still sneak onto the surface.
>>
>>732219362
>how is it meaningful to the story who built a magic elevator leading to the siofra and ainsel rivers?
This is like a writing exercise for a 3rd grader.

You think I'm exaggerating like a snobby nerd but no, I'm 100% serious. This is basic, basic writing that falls apart when you ask basic questions.

The magic elevator matters because there's an an unimaginably powerful god somewhere that tried to stop them from leaving and apparently was unable stop this from happening or he forgot about it.

It's a big, grand city that's a big deal but they built exactly 2 of these. They're not bi-directional and they move 3 miles an hour.

They're made for transporting people but they never thought it was worth building a guardrail. It's magic so people don't fall and slip.

There's a thousand ways to say that this makes no sense so I'm not going to waste my breath. You can consult a game called "Dark Souls" if you want to study some fascinating writing where people have magic powers but the environment design also makes sense on a basic level.
>>
>>732219591
>Right like the reaction image from 2008 says, "It's magic, I ain't gotta explain shit".
This but unironically. They're magic elevators that exist to transport the player from one area to another, and they're long to make the player feel the scale of the game. It was clearly a successful decision, because many talk about the Siofra river elevator as one of the earliest "wow' moments of Elden Ring, and most people simply accept it for what it is without interrogating how believable it is in-universe. It's believable enough.

If you want an example of a truly lazy transition that strains the player's credulity and immersion, you should refer to the waygate that sends the player to the Haligtree. That thing doesn't feel like a conscious, stylistic decision, it feels like the result of FromSoft running out of time to add a proper transition between the snowfield and Haligtree. Imagine how cool it would have been if you, for example, stepped inside a sort of cable car and proceeded to ride down toward the Haligtree, concealed in the ocean mist. Imagine emerging on the other side of the mist and seeing this hulking monument to Miquella's failed amibitions looming before you. Instead you just teleport there.

Fun fact, the elevator isn't some sort of disguised loading screen. You actually ARE traveling the full length of a giant shaft bored into the earth. I was fucking around with the free camera mod the other day and it's actually insane how much of the game world is rendered at any given time. Some of those giant, walking temples with the bells are rendered from what must be thousands of feet away, they're just inactive and floating in the void.

Yeah. The image wasn't ironic. It's magic. It only has limitations or costs as needed to serve a narrative purpose.
>I thought I liked Lord of the Rings because world behaved consistently
In the first book, Aragorn scares off FOUR NAZGUL with a TORCH. They almost immediately find a guy who is immune to the ring without explanation and decide not to pursue his help, also for no reason. Sam kills a cosmic abomination with a sword made to kill orcs and a flashlight. Everyone in the world accepts Aragorn's identity and noble lineage without proof. Gollum killed himself on accident by inexplicably being retarded at the edge of an active volcano because God put his thumb on the scale of fate. If you can swallow all of that, you can handle bits of ambiguity in elden ring.

These games get more shonin-anime with every release, so a magic platform with no means of power probably doesn't seem like a big deal when the average boss is a 100 foot tall god that turns himself into a meteor.

You can go back to a game called Demons' Souls if you want an example of a game with magic at it where things have some kind of... uh... "consequence".

>>732220067
"The force".

I'm tempted to call this millennial writing. It could just be generally dumb. Doctor Strange has a magic sentient cape and he can see the future and make rain fall from the sky. How does any of this shit work? I don't know, but he has some fierce competition against Thanosbart that can open a portal to another dimension and throw a purple chi ball at you and reverse time.
>>
>>732220027
>This is basic, basic writing
It's basic writing to understand that it could not possibly fucking matter less who built the elevators unless you had some neat narrative idea regarding who did it and why.
>The magic elevator matters because there's an an unimaginably powerful god somewhere that tried to stop them from leaving
There isn't. The greater will fucked off a billion years ago. The city was built underground from the start.
>but they built exactly 2 of these.
Four, actually. 5 if you count the one between Nokstella and Lake of Rot.
>They're not bi-directional
Yes they are. Exactly one of them is locked from the bottom and then becomes bidirectional.

This

It genuinely doesn't fucking matter, it's a gameplay contrivance that 99.9% of players will simply accept as perfectly natural within the context of a fantasy world where there are enormous superstructures and 100 ft. tall statues around every bend.
>>
>>732220242
>Yeah. The image wasn't ironic. It's magic. It only has limitations or costs as needed to serve a narrative purpose.
I'm really trying not to be impolite but Elden Ring isn't giving me much to work with

That guy was right when he said "I'm not really into fantasy". This just goes beyond the domain of fantasy, it's nonsensical, lazy writing with self-contradictions. You are insulting every fantasy writer when you say that "he has magic powers" is as deep as fantasy writing goes.

>In the first book, Aragorn scares off FOUR NAZGUL with a TORCH. They almost immediately find a guy who is immune to the ring without explanation and decide not to pursue his help, also for no reason. The Nox got terminatored by their creations
The Lucarians are all turning into rocks.
The practitioners of flame have to injure themselves to use magic.
Adherents of the scarlet rot are enthralled and physically decay.
Disciples of the formless mother are driven mad with rage and misanthropy.
Those who know the secrets of chaos are engulfed by nihilistic despair and threaten to destroy all of creation.
The hornsent were genocided by the last of a race they wiped out in rituals to try to cultivate their own divinity.
The golden order consumes itself in purity spiraling to try to appeal to an autist "god" in a tree that doesn't care about them and a cosmic creator god who doesn't even know they exist.

But none of that matters because there isn't an item description that explains who built a FUCKING ELEVATOR

I think Borderlands legitimately makes more sense than this game.

They have a magic teleportation machine that reconstructs every atom in your body but they also have construction sites and vehicles and companies that produce products. When I ask how a bunch of people got onto an alien planet the answer isn't that a Siren got pissed and teleported them there.

Try not to get too hung up on the word "elevator". It's not the word elevator, it's tools being used for a point of utility, the limitations of "magic powers", basic worldbuilding, self-contradicting statements and the motivations of the people that live in this world.

That's not what I said you fucking faggot. I said that it doesn't need an explanation if you don't have one that's narratively meaningful. Using LOTR as an example, we're told the history of Aragorn's sword Anduril, because it's relevant to the story, but not the origin of Sting, because its history is not.

Fromsoft has made it abundantly clear that they will never write a proper story. Closest we got in recent memory was the new armored core and Sekiro. Of the "souls" games the one that makes the most sense is Bloodborne because the concepts are all taken from Lovecraft and are very simple to follow. OP here

This thread has been an absolute waste of time. I at least got what I needed out of it which is to have it confirmed that this game makes no sense and that its fans don't care.

The year is 2026, which is 10 years after the 2016 election and 20 years after being a nerd started being "quirky" and the normies in Pac Man have taken over everything that nerds ever used to hold dear.

Every mainstream piece of media is now a Marvel film. That's not a "bad thing" because there's not a wrong way to enjoy something, it's just... not for me.

Have a nice thread. I think I'll play Disco Elysium tonight.

No they didn't, you can actually see the sun dials that would have been used and are not repurposed as moonlight altars.
It also has the Leyndell architecture because they were all connected to a singular Eternal City, always referred as such.
The towns were pieces of Leyndell that were absorbed into the Eternal Darkness, and you can see the debris and pieces of buildings left under the city.

I get that understanding Elden Ring requires high IQ, but this is the most basic lore elements and it's quite explicit.

We've gone a long way backwards. The Last of Us came out in 2013 and it's where people started saying that "a fucking video game" was no longer just a surface level stimulation.

I though it happened far before that. There were games in the 90s like Fallout that were fully capable of creating a fun experience and also writing a world full of people that acted like human beings.

You guys say this so flippantly and it's where it really becomes obvious that the average Elden Ring fan has an age of 17 and has no idea what Dark Souls is. This is a sick new blockbuster title with cool weapons and sick particle effects and apparently not a story with no plot where a lone adventurer wanders around a dead civilization.

The point isn't "banishing the city" and physically locking away people. The point is banishing the people under a false sky, meaning their Fate is tied to the skies underground where they dwell. This is very important because the dwellers of the Eternal City received no guidance from the Stars from that point onward, and had to generate their own Divinity through sacrifices that merged people into the Three Moon of the Eternal Cities. This is metaphysical but very pivotal and important to the plot, just like the band of mercenaries that were forced to burn their own and had their Fate tied to Ghostflame. Trust me , you are nowhere as smart as you think you are, you are actually quite lazy and low IQ

No it didn't. What Astel dis is very similar to what Radahn did. Astel stooe the Fate of the Nox and tied it to a false sky. This is achieved through manipulation of gravity and portal.

There's a reason the Eternal Ciries faction want a Lord able to bring forth the Age of Stars. They want their fate connected to the Stars like it was before their banishment. They want it to the point ancient sorcerers imbued their souls into glintstones.

Similarly, Radahn takes control of his own Fate through gravitational power, which is the force behind how the celestial bodies affect the Fate of the people of the Lands Between, thus defeating it. This is what Radahn being Starscourge means, and why Astel is himself a "Star of Darkness". But understanding the concept of Fate and what it actually entails in Elden Ring is key to understanding the actual game lore.

They've been doing it that from day one, anon.

The gameplay is the same shit.
Spamming i-frame rolls and light attack was never good combat but retards sure managed to convince everyone that it is.
From games were always extremely outdated and low quality, it just became a trend to glaze them because Dark Souls came out at the peak of the moviegame trend and everyone was tired of that shit. So a real (albeit shitty) game came along, and everyone convinced themselves it was amazing because they're used to eating shit.

Fate isn't real. Radahn was using his gravity powers to literally physically repel asteroids in order to protect the land and prevent alien incursion. This is directly demonstrated in the cutscene which follows his death. Astel ravaged one of the eternal cities and stole its treasures because it is an evil greedy alien (and a parallel to the Lucarian sorcerers). The Nox were wiped out by the silver tears.

Everything I said is written into the game and clearly explained.
If you are too dumb to pick up on it that's on you, and yes it makes you dumber than me. When the game says the Greater Will banished the Nox under a False Sky, that is literal and delves into the relationship between Nox, Fate and the Stars, which ties to many other lore elements of the metaphysics and mechanics of the game.

Just because understanding how the world works and the mechanics of Elden Ring takes some effort and thought, it doesn't mean you can handwave clearly written, deliberately delivered lore elements because it's easier to make up some mundane headcanon

All the Eternal Cities have no real way to get to them or out of them. Nokron is only accessible after the star crashes into Limgrave. Nokstella is only accessible from teleportation. The nameless eternal city is already destroyed and to even get it, you have to get passed Crucible Knights and Stone Guardians before you can even take singular stone coffin to it. The only other way to get there is once again, teleportation (passed Mohg the Omen in the Subterranean Shunning grounds).

Wrong, it's some tree cult retards trying to explain something they don't understand. The greater will fucked off before the Nox existed. The cities were built underground, carved from the stone of the cave floor, walls, and cieling. Plus, if the sky of the eternal cities was "false", there would be no narrative impact to the fact that Astel stole one of them.

See? You can't read and understand well because you think Elden Ring is mundane. and the game is filtering you hard. The point is not being physically locked away, the Underground Eternal Cities are not a prison. The point is having their Fate forcibly severed from the Sky, replaced by a False Sky.

This dictates their life, death and where their souls are bound to during those.

Fate is not about being anywhere, it's an inherent property of each individuals own spirits, that represents the principles of pull between things and pull of meaning. Astel robbed and binded their Fate to a false sky with gravitational powers. Them being moved underground is not the relevant part. In death, their spirit won't gp to the Stars, their soul won't turn back into the stardust that generated them. An important part of their cycle of Life and Death was broken.

Besides the underground mercenaries, another example of Fate is pic related. Most people don't know what this enemy ACTUALLY is. It's extremely weird to many how this enemy is in Farum Azula. But reading his internal name makes it clear. It is a Tree Guardian that was severed from the Crossed Tree. Tree Guardians (that are still alive for the Erdtree) are guardians of Minor Erdtrees that grow into huge spirits.

Wormfaces, of which there's a lot in Farum Azula for an importnat reason, are severed Tree Guardians who had their Fate broken and severed from their own Tree, which is why they expel deathblight. The worm is also a symbol of severance of Fate for the Hornsent as a result.

You're still focusing on the nebulous logistics of the magic and god and fate when I'm literally just questioning the motivations of the people

Gandalf is a pretty cool guy and he's really powerful and hard to understand but he still does things that make sense. He doesn't live in a tree, because he still needs a bed to sleep in and a place to store his stuff.

You know. Do you get it. There's all this complexity and fascinating discussion to be bad on top of a lack of basic logic that makes me go "u wot m8".

How about you enter and leave the city through tunnels built by the ants. That already sounds better written. They got sent to be secluded in a cave forever but giant ants allowed them to painstakingly create a way out. Instead of a magic elevator that takes you a thousand feet into the air and then also boroughs through a hundred feet of earth and takes you to a convenient platform in the middle of the woods.

Also, please consult this extremely dense essay with a rough guide to the history of 4-6th century mainland Faram Azula if you wish to understand why the lost city of Atlantis has a magic taxi that takes you directly to it.

This is unfalsifiable. I can't argue with this unless I play the game for about 400 hours to find out if it makes sense.

You need to play the game once and not be a complete retard, because the word "Fate" appears 40 fucking times in it, associated to quite important concepts of Death and Life. Only a total RETARD would actually feel smug and pretend he found some epic "gotcha" by pointing out the Underground Eternal Cities are NOT a prison and do not always lock people in or out.

Of all the things happening in there, the rituals to merge people, the creation of man-made divine hubris, the cloning experiments to create a fitting pseudo Elden Lord,.. somehow you only grasped the idea that the place is a prison.

No dumbass, like the Golden Order is broken and the cycle of Life and Death for most in the Lands Between is broken with it, with the connection between the Erdtree and Souls is severed, in the same exact way before the Greater Will punished the Nox. They have been severed from their Stars, creating Moons and hoping for those to lead their fate from the false sky to the sky above.

I get not understanding the actual meaning of Fate, but God you are clueless. The parallel is very clear.

I'd love to discuss Elden Ring lore with you, the problem is a single retarded schizophrenic has taken it upon himself to write an entire fan fiction that goes well beyond what someone would call "head canon".

I'm talking an entire story about the rise and fall of a kingdom that pertains to every little detail of the game despite being based on nothing but a single fucking shield.

Someone figured out, that because Miyazacki does this "fill in the blanks with my item descriptions just like I did reading english books :^)" that they can just basically write up the most elaborate piece of fanfiction ever and pass it off as some sort of well thought out fact.
For years people in souls threads saw a plot point, saw another plot point, connected the dots with a straight line. The line was different from person to person, but it was understood that the in-game truths were the most important.

Now, one can draw an entire meandering maze around the dots while posting an image of an item with a single red box around a small phrase and say "You don't understand the lore". They can go on for paragraphs and paragraphs describing a secret setting never once alluded to by anything.
Big Luke exists, and has an entire complex relationship with Star Wars setting.

Souls discussion is dead.

It's amazing how these games have managed to get completely turned inside out.

Dark Souls: Has no plot at all. Everyone that was ever important has died or gone insane and we're a few hundred years into the apocalypse. You get a vague idea of what the fuck is happening by paying attention to your surroundings and talking to other NPCs that may or may not be telling the truth.
The games are compelling because the writing possesses "basic intelligence" somewhere underneath all of this weird bullshit that's open to interpretation.

Elden Ring: King Zanzula created a magic necklace out of a magical alloyed metal forged in the fires of Mt. Bart. He gave it to his son who then melted it down and tried to make a sword out of it but he failed so he gave it to his cousin who promised to store it up his ass and bestow it to his son during the Vietbart war. However, he was unaware that a copy had been created and had been gifted to yayidiasdfi fuck it I can't even be bothered

It's a bunch of specifics. I'm supposed to think it's good writing after I get ackshually'd to death.

It's like talking to Star Wars fans. Except they're defending the prequels and telling you Jar Jar Binks is a good character because of an encyclopedia that you have to read to argue with them.

Holy fuck now that makes actual sense

It makes sense. It's just telling the story in an odd way. It's very environmental and you might not notice it, but it is. Also, yes: a lot of exposition & lore is distributed through item and spell descriptions, deal with it.
It puts you in a world and leaves you to figure it out. If you don't like it, that's okay, I don't have to defend it to you and you have no obligation to like it. There's nothing else to say. Good day

The Crucible was just the Erdtree analog that the ancient dragon-lords worshipped, and subsequently some schism off-shoots of the Golden Order still worship it (namely certain knight lineages).
Crumbling Farum Azula is the ancient dragon-lord's equivalent to Leyndell (a royal capital). The ruins and ruin fragments that are all over the world, that look like they fell from the sky, literally did; they came from Crumbling Farum Azula.
The game is about the rise and fall of civilizations. You are playing an important character that is responsible for the transition to the "rise" period of the next civilization; with the current one in a state of being fell.
It's not that deep bro. The Erdtree itself is a literal visual metaphor for the rise, blossoming, de-flowering, and wilting of civilization; and the Elden Ring proper is a metaphor for the unspoken and unwritten rules of civilization that proper lordship must abide by else the kingdom falls to ruin. When it was shattered, it went to shit.
Everything else in the lore is fluff for the player to find interesting.

which is a webm of a prolific steam review poster known as Dragonirian losing in pvp, that the "Name Schizo" or "Eric" (Yes, the same fag who schizos out in BG III and Nintendo threads) is either OP or samefagging in this thread.
Some suspect SunRealm is also the same guy because they used to show up in the same thread and some of those posts agreeing with me bitching about Sun Realm schizo, while including nods to him (I.E multiple crucibles???).

What I'm saying is, is OP is probably Eric, and Sunrealm schizo is also probably Eric, and he's samefagging while replying to me for the specific set up of going on his massive Dragonirian freak out, which he'll try to dump on me because he probably recognizes me through posting styles, as I recognize him through posting styles.

Now I'm not going to say without a doubt that they're the same schizo, but I've long suspected it because my first issues with Eric arose particularly because of the schizo posting. the "You're Dragonirian, no you're dragonirian, lol humiliation ritual! lol" shit came after.

All I'm certain of is the webm is evidence that Eric is here, in this thread, doing his weird Barneyfag esque ritual post where he pretends all Fromsoft threads are by some random Russian fag he's mad at for making /v/ hate Baldur's Gate III.

Underground? It says Astel "took away their sky." To me that implies they were buried under a firmament of meteoric rock, like his spell which opens black holes spewing meteors. The stars are the "children" of the Greater Will.
As for the elevators, clearly they were built to explore the underground, not act as highways between existing cities. They match the designs of the Eternal Cities themselves, so I imagine they were built before the Nox actually became buried as well. The ancient dynasty predates them and that's where the forest elevator arrives, not the Eternal City itself.
The dlc shows even people like the hornsent studying ruins older than themselves in the Rauh Ruins. The Nox likely built those elevators for the same purpose.
>>
>>732231115
>You're being way too pedantic and anal. That's literally what I fucking said.
No, you said the Crucible is the Tree.
That is wrong, because the Crucible Knights don't search the Crucible of Life in the Tree
At most, the Crucible is the seed from which Miranda first bloomed the Tree, but really the Crucible was formed from the original giants corpses and you can see roots coming out of Mountaintops and Caelid giant skeletons, so it can't be as simple as Crucible = Tree

TL;DR there is a schizo that even the mods hate that ritual posts various topics and the ritual posting he does in From Soft threads is to try and pretend that a random steam reviewer made the thread and that he is a collection of /v/ users hunting him down to humiliate him. (it's in From Soft LITERALLY because the fag he stalks posted Elden Ring pvp videos on youtube, that's it)

Why he does it is beyond me, but I think he's always dreamed of /v/ personal armying faggots he hates. Basically never ever do a steam review of a game he likes and post it in a screen cap or you're a target for life.

They followed the Black Moon, which may have literally been a Black Hole.
They stabbed Metyr so the Greater Will banished them to the underground.
You can see that it was a pretty sudden and brutal experience because a ton of people are petrified and merged into the rock around them while reaching towards the sky or holding their heads in lamentation
Later they adapted and began to build out of the rock that surrounded them directly. And began focusing on making quicksilver homunculi that could become strong enough to retake the surface.

Eventually some of their descendants left and became a part of the Liurnian sorcery culture. Others escaped and built a small outpost in Caelid that became known as a center of learning.

It's actually pretty straightforward. You just need to put some effort into understanding what's going on and that the Lands Between are not governed by the fundamental logic of the world you are familiar with. Instead, natural phenomena are mostly governed by the Golden Order.

Why would your undergrou d dwelling civilization go above ground? Notice that the Elevators match the ones in Farum Azula, which implies that there is a connection between the Dragonlords and the Nox.

>Something extremely powerful moved a giant city underground.

>>
>>732237283
>>732237539
The main gist is that a people that may or may not have been Numen (same race as marika) were banished underground, where they attempted to simulate the surface world.

We know they were star worshipers and their culture re-emerged on the surface in Liurnia and Sellina.

The blasphemy they committed isn't directly stated, but we know it involved the knife (which looks like Marika's sword form) which allowed them to harm the 2 fingers. They could have stabbed Metyr, or just another fingers, I do like the idea they stabbed Metyr though because there as to be some explanation for why we the player can harm her.

Also they created the Silver Tears and tried to use them to make false life, like the big dragon guys and Albinaurics.
The Night folk preset implies that most of the Nox are artificial by saying they "bleed silver" and the only item in the game that mentions the night folk is Urumi, a sword whip, which is like a poor imitation of the silver tear weapons.

So basically, whoever is left in the Eternal city may not be human but an artificial race.

Melina is some kind of ghost that is haunting you, she can't travel on her own. She says several times she needs someone to "guide her".

As for Rennala's children, those are hundreds of years old college professors constantly using her egg to be reborn.
The repeated process of being reborn leads to deformity and looking like a clone of Rennala, probably in the same concept of how Albinaurics feet phase from existence.

Those are cocoons friend, not eggs.
No Albinauric has stepped foot near the Haligtree(save for the possibility of Loretta if she actually is an albinauric), that is why they wait in the Liturgical Town for an audience that will never come.

Who those cocooned people are? Who can say?
People speculate that Miquella had weaved himself a cocoon as a part of some attempt to become a god that ultimately failed, and so those are some of his follows who were attempting the same.

But I can say for certain, those aren't albinauric eggs.
