They're fun enough to play through once, but that's it and every game is about the same so MP4 really is no worse than MP1 because they both suffer from the same issues like the biggest problem I have with the series is constantly being locked in a room to fight waves of enemies. Older prime games, you see a computer and it tells you"its a computer" and you dont need to scan any more computers, but in this one you can enter a room with 20 computers and you need to scan every single one of them and the only difference is "on this computer screen there is a dead pixel in the right" or "this screen is set to vibrant colors, its terrible". Who the fuck cares? Seeing 100% runs at 15 hours, I really think the game is like 6 hours if you dont scan shit

>>732223104 Yeah, the constant room lockdowns and arena fights really kill the pacing. It's like they took the worst aspect of Prime 2 and made it the backbone of Beyond’s combat. Exploration used to feel rewarding and organic, now it’s just filler stuffed between wave rooms and lore dumps nobody asked for. Series deserved better after that long of a wait.

I kind of see Metroid Prime 4 as the Metroid 2: Samus Returns of the 3D series:a long awaited return to Metroid after a severe dry spell that gets a lot of things wrong but still has enough nuggets of good to have potential if they learn from their mistakes.Mercury Stream learned from their mistakes with Samus Returns and Dread was much better, if Retro Studios can do the same with this (especially with Tanabe gone) Prime 5 has hope
