Personally I couldn't get into those weapons you pointed too, and I didn't quite like their style either, but I'm glad you found something that works for you. Personally I was always spear/1kat when it came to favourites, so Ninja split didn't alter those. From the weapons relegated to ninja, I liked Kusarigama, but testing it a bit in N3 while grinding crucible arts didn't give me the feel I used to have. Might be just lacking the proper martial arts.

I've been using Cicada Shell as a midair parry as well and it feels great when you continue your air combo after teleporting behind an enemy.

I am liking Drifting Counter a lot but I haven't played around with Wave Slash that much yet. Cicada Shell does offer an alternative parry to getting behind the enemy but it's tied to ninjutsu uses while Drifting Counter obviously only uses ki and does some damage in the process. Looking forward to getting the piercing version of Coiled Spring because I think that will be good as well.

>>732243608Were you going for a Saito Hajime look from Kenshin? I was trying to do a Kenshin design myself, but it only looks decent if you use a female body since the faces on women are softer and less masculine, but I don't want to play as a woman, so it isn't really worth the hassle.
Also, my Kenshin character so far, but probably gonna abandon it since it's using a female body type. I might adjust the noses and eyes more, but the eyes are giving me the most trouble. If you use a male body type the face will look way too masculine regardless of what shape you pick. There is no "twink" face.
What will the Hiddy fight be like? It's too bad they can't pull your Nioh 2 save file to use that for it... or can they?
