Making a sequel to one of the best Soulslikes sets high expectations. So the poor framerate, censorship, decline in coherent visual and art-design motifs, odd character design decisions, jittery and stilted animations, horrible motorcycle controls, overtuned enemies and (as I see it) less memorable OST don't do it any favours.The thing is, CV2 still has potential to be good if Bamco actually patch some of its more egregious flaws. It's laughably easy to add jiggle physics in UE5 and paint over the flat texture "spats" with actual panties, and adjusting the turning circle of the motorcycle is as simple as tweaking a few numeric values. But who knows if they'll actually do it. It would be easy to just take all the Deluxe/Collector's Edition pre-order profits and abandon it.
