Trying out a new game series, what am I in for?

Fantastic first entry.Mediocre to bad everything else.
I thought the first one was surprisingly great, the second one has good gameplay but the translation is so bad it ruins any story impact, I got bored of the third one and dropped it.

I liked the music of it and look, but again it's far too easy. I think I made it about 11 hours in before I started playing DQ1+2 HD instead which were fantastic overall. It'd be cool if someone redid the translations on games like Wild Arms 2 or anything Working Designs got their claws on. Fuck I hate those guys, I'm shocked the only thing we've gotten is Unworking Designs patches for their balance changes.

Is there any translation fix for 2? I remember liking it more than 1 but the dialogue is hot garbage, especially whenever the lizard duo appears.

There's also "Hyulkonton" in WA 1 and 2 which was supposed to be a romanization of something like "Creeping Chaos" in japanese, referring to Nyarlathotep from Lovecraft. But of course, they didn't get the reference.

They managed to actually salvage 4's hex system and giving every character pairing a unique dual arts animation is some crazy effort that you don't see in RPGs these days. The story was pretty by the books but the characters were generally all likeable and while it's a shame it ended up being the last mainline game of the series, seeing all the cameos in the NPCs and alt costumes was nice.

Loved Wild Arms 1 on PS.Played it through multiple times.Lady Harken was my waifu.Tried to emulate WA3 and WA4 but consolitis was so strong with them and I had outgrown this kind of jrpg at that point that I dropped both.
