fuck you i liked ass creed
revelations was the last good one
>>732244457i only played some of the first one but it sucked ballcock
>>732244457up until revelations everything was good. I have to admit though, as much as it hurts... revelations gameplay wasn't as good as the story.
>>732244457Nothing wrong with Assassin's Creed in itself the game was revolutionary at the time for featuring an open world with parkour back in 2008? that's unheard of at the time. Sadly it influenced gaming as a whole so most AAA games now are open world that are vaguely inspired by the formula. It also hindered Ubisoft itself where they felt the need to copypaste this formula onto every game of theirs which had short term profit yet long term consequences. The theme kept changing in every game too. 2 was a classic hero's journey and not a typical Assassin's Creed game like the first one. And you can start to see how 2 ended up influencing every story since then to the point where being an assassin became nothing more than an outfit that a character wears such as Edward Kenway. Not saying there's anything wrong with that direction in fact it has more main stream appeal but you start to see how formulaic and commercialized the series has gotten where they always present a protagonist with his own conflict rather than focusing on the Assassin's Creed itself. I actually liked Assassin's Creed Shadows but saying that it's an Assassin's Creed when the assassins were nothing but side quests is a big stretch. It's also ironic how Yasuke ended up fighting templars, not the assassin herself.
killing off desmond was a huge mistake also ac3 just sucked ass overallfiring the original creator was a mistake
>>732244457Playing Asscred 1 and 2 was like watching a fish grow beautiful strong, powerful feet. Everything since then has been like watching it hack sit own feet off and then chewing it's own fins
>>732244457It Was good. 1 was alright. 2 was great. 3 was a little weird and then 4 went back to being great. Then 5 got real weird and shit just kept going downhill from there. By the time of Odyssey I didn't even recognize the series anymore.
>>732244457https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMsbMK9OdocThis trailer is still amazing. Remember when they used to make good trailers for games
>>732245914Revelations just feels awkward. Despite being at his oldest Ezio is stronger than ever and there's this grafted on bomb system that you really have to get out of your way to use. They should have made use of Ezio's more frail form to make an entry more focused on stealth, where you need to make use of your wits and the tactical opportunities offered by bombs to get ahead. Would sell fall better the idea of Ezio being too old and unable to catch up to the younger generations but having this wealth of wisdom and experience to make up for it
>>732247391i just press t for everything
>>732246709His original pitch sounded pretty retarded though
