i just got the yes man ending. It was quite... disapointing.
Overall, the game was an above average mid RPG. People call this game a masterpiece? The fuck?
I'm gonna play Fallout 3 next. From the looks of it, it looks like a much better game.

as someone who enjoys both I cannot fathom a single soul going to 3 after NV and having a higher opinion of it.
>>
>>732251951
There's a reason why we call New Vegas the most overrated game of all time, because it is
>>
>>732252057
We'll see about that.
>>
>>732251951
Be honest, man. Are you the same guy that makes the daily "Fallout 3 is le bad" thread? Are you simply a neutral party who enjoys making /v/ seethe? Because I admire your game but I despise your motives.
>>
>>732252057
I liked both back in the day but over Christmas I replayed nv and 3 again and I did everything in nv but I got bored of fallout 3 after finishing the main story and dropped it

Est-ce que ce gars là parlerait français par hasard?
>>
>>732251951
It's overhyped, like most Obsidianslop
>>
>>732252272
just saying every time I get to downtown DC I want to fucking kill myself, I hate that fuckass clusterfuck so much
>>
New Vegas is literally Fallout 3 but better, anyone disputing this is either an actual retard or trolling.

Yeah, the Yes Man ending can feel a bit anticlimactic if you're expecting something more conclusive—it's basically "you win, but now deal with the mess yourself." New Vegas is kind of overrated overall, especially for the choices and world-building. If you're not feeling it as a masterpiece right now, maybe it's just not clicking for you at the moment.

Fallout 3 is definitely worth playing next—it's got that bleak, lonely Capital Wasteland atmosphere that hits different from NV's more colorful Mojave. The story and exploration are strong, even if the mechanics feel dated now.

If the games are leaving you meh lately, the Amazon Fallout show might change your mind. It's one of the better game adaptations out there. They nailed the retro-futuristic look, the dark humor mixed with real stakes, and the weird wasteland vibe without feeling forced. Walton Goggins as the Ghoul is great, and the whole thing captures what makes the series special while telling its own story.

Season 1 was already strong, and Season 2 (which just wrapped up) pushed it further—it's sitting at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes with critics and high audience scores too. It's got solid production, expands the lore nicely, and feels true to the games without being a straight retread. If you're in the mood for something Fallout-flavored but easier to binge, it's worth checking out on Prime. Might spark that interest again.

every single location in this game is a dull box with 5 NPCs except only one of them is named and gives you a quest, or even just has two lines of dialogue instead of none.
MUH PLAYER CHOICE AND CONSEQUENCES means sometimes you can click an option to make an NPC despawn instead of killing them if you pumped one skill high enough. And NCR Troops say 'looks like we're taking over Primm' for the entire game to show you reactive and immersive the game is... for that one single little decision at the start of the game and basically never again.
looks like shit
plays like shit
runs like shit and crashes constantly

this game has to be one of the biggest pieces of shit ever made. no wonder bethesda, of all people, are so embarrassed by the stain on their already mediocre franchise they just pretend it never happened. obsidian couldn't even get a complementary bonus from above average review scores which is supposed to be basically a formality. pathetic.

>desert full of characters and a bit more variety in everything
>metros, metros everywhere
I'm in the same boat except im not a fucking retard so I enjoy NV, vanilla at that. Fallout 3 is just too much of a grind on top very similar locations that get tiring fast. Maybe if you like train tunnels Fallout 3 is your game, but NV beats it in every category.
>>
Fallout 3 is more atmospheric and the plot has a stronger hook. The only thing bad about 3 is no LDS but fixed with mods.

you are going to choke to death on all that goyslop you are slurping, and everyone here will be happy about it
so fuck off

Well, I played without using any mods just to get a pure experience and, while I did have a lot of fun with New Vegas, there were so many roadblocks that just interrupt my fun.
And I'm not really interested in the tv show, I'm more for the games.

Capitol Hill is cancer with all those mutant trenches. The combat can be fun sometimes, but navigating the world itself sucks my nuts. The DLC worlds paces are significantly better except for Zeta.
>>
Fallout 3 is "okay", but New Vegas is the most overhyped piece of mundane media I've played next to KOTOR 2 (same people)
>>
>>732253078
Yeah and the exploration feels very unrewarding and unstimulating. Especially at the beginning because you have low stats.

>go to Nipton
>go insane big building
>go 3rd floor
>locked door
>50 lockpick required
>now you have to remember this door until you get 50 lockpick

Game feels like a metroidvania a lot of times, which is not what i'm looking for an RPG.
>>
>>732251951
how is your transition going?
>>
What RPG games do anti-New Vegas retards even like?
>>
>>732253475
Should've put more points into lockpicking. That's just old school CRPG character building, you either know to do that or you don't. Sucks to suck, I guess.
>>
>>732253171
I'm new to the franchise. I started with New Vegas, it didn't impress me that much. I'd argue simpler RPGs like Paper Mario 64 is a better game than FNV.

>>732253517
Very funny.
>>
>>732253616
That's such a bizarre comparison, like apples and oranges. One is an open world semi-sandbox game, the other is linear. To me that's like saying Smash Bros. is better than Street Fighter, or vice versa.
>>
>>732252057
This is just a low effort bait thread, OP is either a nigger or that schizophrenic guinea who hasn’t played either game.
