What's the best movement mod, weapons mod, and other overhauls that keep the game close to the original. Should I play with Jason sawyer's mod? Any other essential mods?

I've not played it in 15+ years. Viva New Vegas with the Vault-Girl mod for me.
>>732261547jsawyer and derivatives are crap. but current up to date ones like agua friga have setting menus to turn most of it off or back to normal anyway. you can't engage with most of the game systems like crafting because you can't even carry a fucking thing with all the retarded "LE HARDCORE SURVIVAL" settings. get over-encumbered carrying a couple guns and now your menu is filled with 100 different variations of useless meds and utility items you will never need anyway. levels, xp and perks all slaughtered because who wants to have fun levelling and getting bonuses? no not me i like my games are dry as possible thanks! just take the useful QOL, cut content, and get rid of all the dumb changes.
