>make the best driving simulator on the PS2>completely ruin it with the worst career mode ever designed in a racing gameseriously, what the fuck was their thought process
>>732266403>best driving simulator on the PS2Gran Turismo 4 has a great career mode though
>>732266615The racing team manager mode was actually pretty neat too. The fuckers actually had the leMans 24hr in that mode. Absolutely nuts.
Enthusia is so fucking good, goddamnit but it's a rare case where op is right, that gacha shit for unlocking cars is abysmal
>>732266615i don't mean the career, i mean the driving dynamics; the physics. gran turismo 4 is strange. it feels as if there's far too much longitudinal grip, you can't lock up your wheels i don't think, it's difficult to put the car into an unrecoverable yaw state and it feels like there's hardly ever enough front mechanical grip. also, a lot of the cars feel very similar to drive. but other than that, the career mode is far better than enthusia's, which is a shame>>732266693that was awesome. imagine how disappointed i was when GT7 didn't have a 24 hour le mans race unless you bought the new DLCsuch a shame, it's all very close yet so far...
i love the graphics of enthusia
i miss when racing games had fictional depictions of beautiful real world places
>>732266615>22yo gameIs there anything recent with a good career mode?I'm playing EA WRC right now and while it's kinda cool managing your garage, engineers and picking random events to do on a per week basis it's not really that "great" overall
>>732266709it's not just the gacha shit, the game actively punishes you for racing more powerful cars, as you get less points and you won't be able to get the endgame races if you're not ranking high up enough, really bizzarre game design
