>people who played it at 30fps on switch 1 at 720p for $70 say it's a masterpiece>people who played iit at 60fps on the PC at 1080p for free say it's midI don't get it, does playing games on original hardware add "soul" or something?
True fans don’t emulate.
>>732270930Why would I take the opinion of the latter seriously again?
>>732271008because they played the game
>>732270930I played it on the switch 2 and it's very boring, I don't get the hype
>>732270930They're all still begging to get Nintendo games on their platform. OP sucks dicks and is a confirmed faggot. Scientists says there's no cure.
I don’t know the name for it but there’s a psychological phenomenon where your like or dislike of a product is amplified when you pay for it.
It's meant to be played in VR, but you're not ready for that conversation
>>732270930People who pay for it feel the need to get their money's worth, so they overrate it. People who get it for free rate it fairly since they have no skin in the game. And also the action of purchasing it mostly filters out anyone who isn't a brainless tendie worshipper.
>>732270930Switch 1? You mean the Wii U right? If you played it on the Switch you didn't get tehrealexperience(tm)
>>732270930>[BRAND] fanboys will gladly accept any slop as long as its comes from their favorite brand>people who arent emotionally invested into [BRAND] can more easily take a step back and provide some objective criticismIts really that simple. Just look at pokemon
>>732271182I'm emotionally invested into Pokemon and I hate most of the newer games, but I'm a real person.
>>732270930I emulated it for free and thought it was a masterpiece. Made Elden Ring look like an outdated piece of shit in comparison
>>732271039>save statesnah, they didn't
>>732271102how does parrying work?does this actually work, or is it just an animation?
>>732270930Regardless of the game. I think people have a different impression of something they purchased with money they worked for as compared to something they stole.
I emulated both NuZeldas and i prefer Breath of The Wild. The Zonai deviced break the game so hard it stops being fun after a few hour. It feels like playing BotW again but with cheat codes on.
>>732271274What about when I buy my game with my neetbux?
>>732271238>save statesirrelevant for any modern video game since you can save anywhere by defaultthey're less and less relevant as you go up the gaming timeframe, becoming wholly irrelevant by the ps2
>>732270930I wouldn't say it's mid, I think it's actively bad, I've tired to play it three times and bounce of it almost instantly, the most I've pushed through to is hour 3.I'm a big fan of Ocarina, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, so I was disappointed.Double so when they made the 2nd one just the same as the 1st, which I haven't even tried.
For a lot of tendies it was the first open world game they had played.
>>732271332It's still your money that you had to spend on either a video game or chicken nuggets or whatever.
If Breath of the Wild wasnt a Legend of Zelda game and wasnt published by Nintendo, it would be considered a 6/10 flop by everyone and be completely forgotten by nowdays. The hype was carried entirely by brand recognition
>>732271067Basically this. Playing for free has a different impact. The only games I pirated and liked them enough to buy was Outer Wilds, Slay the Princess, Nier Automata and Tears of the Kingdom.
>>732270930I emulated botw on CEMU back in the day and thought it was amazing
>>732271329Yeah, even Nintendo realized it didn't ressonante with the fanbase, to the point they never had a DLC for it
>>732271638Dude, if your mom had wheels, she would be a bike.
>>732271258>how does parrying work? You do the same motion that Link would do in the game>does this actually work, or is it just an animation? It's fully featured
It was a fun podcast game.I would turn on some background video and do some shrines while listending to it until i got boredId say its a solid 7/10
>>732270930It's simple. Tendies don't play other platforms snd rarely play non Nintendo published games, so they never would've experienced a Ubisoft open world game. Everyone likes their first ubisoft open world game, but they quickly get tired of it. That's why TOTK didn't land as well as BOTW. Tendies speedran their ubislop phase.
>>732270930Sunk cost fallacy>if I paid $70 for a game and I'll admit that it sucks I'll have to admit that I'm fucking stupid, and I can't do that
>>732270930It was FOTM. You had to be there.
>>732271887Aonuma said the game was never going to have DLC before release, retard
>>732272427Yeah, the first emulator was released in 2018 and I think it took at least another year for it to run better than the console. When it launched, people didn't knew it was the best game ever. The sense of exploration and discovery was unparalleled. I couldn't stop thinking about it, it really was something else.
>>732271796It avoids you falling into the sunk cost fallacy.>>732270930I played it on original hardware & then later on CEMU. I loved both playthroughs, but my God did playing it on CEMU make me never want to give another cent to Nintendo, because they clearly have no fucking clue what I prioritize and instead want to shove garbage hardware and limited performance down my throat. I'll die before playing anything at 30fps ever again.
>>732270930pc chads have access to more games and so they're harder to please than tendies that have only played bing bing wahoo
PC gamers don't actually like to play video games. They like to perform tests on games to see how there hardware does. They assign more value to a game's performance than their actual enjoyment or fun. They like performance analysis. "I have 100s of games in my steam library, but nothing to play" etc etc
>>732274353This is only true for people that buy 5090s. Anyone spending that much on a GPU just to play with toys is lying to you.
>>732273369played the game in 2020 or so, was fun for a while but didnt finish it, i believe i was like 2/4ths way through, maybe a bit more (i did 2/4 dungeons but explored a fair bit of the map beyond that) but got bored because i upgraded the armour past the point where anyone could challange me and i realised that they're not adding any new enemies past this point ( i was eager)so... how did you make your second playthrough enjoyable?
>>732270930I'm replaying it and while fusing weapons is great, making vehicles is just not my cup of tea. It's impressive both tech-wise and design-wise, but it affects the atmosphere and pace of the game too much. Like I do appreciate how each one of the parts behave in such a detailed way that you can invent all sorts of applications for it, but seeing OP's pic, for example, that picture doesn't make me want to produce a truck.I wish the Zelda team dared to go a bit less clean with their game design. Totk and BotW are like swiss watches in which everything has a specific purpose and the mechanics all relate to each other in a closed circle. And that's great, but if because of this, they can't have all that many monsters, or the dungeons can't be all that complex, and the story can't have a rythm, then something valuable was lost in the way.
>>732270930Nice shitpost, but it's liked mostly by people who actually play games and like good mechanics, and who played the old 2D games at launch. The ones who hate it are tendie millennials that grew up on trash like OoT. Pre-release date TotK threads were great and everyone emulating the game early had a ton of fun with it. Why lie about something so recent that people remember and can easily point to?
>>732275514when the game came out, the only people that were daying totk was the greatest game ever were switch owners
>>732270930I played it at 30fps 720p and 60fps and 4k, it is a masterpiece! One of my favorite games ever, I want more devs to make open world games like this one
>>732277230You literally were not in the threads where people emulating the game were playing before the street date.
>>732270930Piracy makes video games disposable. Someone who purchases a game is more likely to play through the lulls where a pirate will just quit at the first point of friction and download something else before repeating the cycle.
>>732277791Normies by every metric do this far more than pirates though.
>>732270930This is false. There are PC vegans that enjoyed BotW for what it was, and there are tendies that thought it was mid. Overall, most people like the game.
>>732271102I'm waiting for them to update it a little bit more, It can be improved a lot, it was unplayable on my index, but it's really cool
redditors loved it
>>732271638It has sold more than every single other 3D Zelda game combined, it far eclipsed the existing brand power. To the point that existing fans will now forever be deprived of what they enjoyed previously.
>>732279547>now forever be deprived of what they enjoyed previously.Good. Non-stop OoT clones were complete garbage. Only autistic retards like playing the same game over and over again.
>>732279813you say as nintendo releases the same games twice back to back and both are rated 10/10
