The ability to play as only one character and not have some gay ass party. I don't know why Underrail is the only game where you play as one guy.

It's not you playing the role of a character, that's in literally every game. It's about your ROLE in a party. Once you remove the party it becomes a vapid cookie clicker game, which is exactly what games like fallout, underrail, diablo, etc are. Like so many people obsessed with this genre don't even realize they aren't playing video games and don't want to, and would be better off clicking on rocks in osrs.

BG3 did it good by having more options than just "charisma/speech" ruling all dialogue. Choices doesn't have to mean 100 different endings, but multiple ways to progress.

>>732284478Man, Rue Valley was so awful in every way. Regardless of writing quality, you'd think they'd realize that you go to a game like it for writing but instead you get the laziest designed quests and the most cardboard NPCs ever.
