>GTAV sold 5 million last quarter
Is it teh greatest game of all time? its staying power is unprecedented,
>>
>>732279270
GTA Online is a great time for what it is, there's just nothing like it
>>
6 is going to flop because the people dont like wmlf or fattening up ladies.
>>
>>732279270
I had no idea RDR2 sold that much. Damn.
>>
I got it the week it came out on 360 and finished the main story and never touched it ever again.
>>
>>732279270
I've only tried this game because it was on gamepass, it's sloppa

>>
>>732279270
there are hundreds of delusional brown third worlders on /v/ that still say GTA6 is going to flop because it'll be woke

It just goes through so many phases.
>initial release on console only for old generation at the time
>people buy
>year later PC release with a month delay for online
>PC users buy and a lot of PC users buying the console version previously end up double dipping
>new release on current gen consoles
>double dip from console boys, potential triple dip from PC boys
>not only is GTA online the only thing supported but it constantly gets new updates and game modes
>always something to grind for if a hacker never maxed out your account
>modding scene grows bigger
>waves of people doing graphics modding
>waves of people doing goofy modding
>custom servers and game modes start cropping up
>GTA RP goes through massive phases of popularity and indoctrinates normies into a really awful second life tier public servers
>fiveM happens along with the purchase
>even more crazy custom servers
>another couple huge waves of GTA RP
>normie rappers siphoning their fans wallets with p2w GTA rp servers making it even more popular with normies
>at one point there was a sub or drops event linked with nopixel RP server
>event sanctioned by rockstar
>now they're getting another phase except this time rockstar is working directly with them
It's basically like roblox or fortnite. There's a ton of custom shit being made, tons of viral phases for that custom content, and a long running history of people watching popular GTA content and easily being able to play the game. It's somehow infallible, unkillable. It continuously grows in popularity. The reason why GTA 6 can never fail is because GTA is practically synonymous in people's minds to the heights of popularity tetris reached and then some. More delays = more hype = more sales on older titles. And they're going to do the double potentially triple dip method for 6 release. Along with delaying it just enough for Sony's leaked 2027 plans.

who the fuck is still buying this game in 2026?

APB: All Points Bulletin will forever stay forgotten

No, it's obviously not, it's just got such mass appeal and Rockstar is known for quality in their open world releases.

The first and last time I ever double dipped was GTA IV.
>GTA 1: Console
>GTA 2: Console
>GTA III: PC
>GTA VC: PC
>GTA SA: PC
>GTA IV: PC and Console
>GTA V: PC
>RDR II: PC

everyone will. unless the game is in a literal dogshit state, constantly crashing, worse than FO76 and CP77 combined, it's going to make a billion in 24hrs.

Me and my friend had a very similar experience. he bough it on release, beat it and never touched it again. I borrowed it from him and did the same. many years later i tried the enhanced edition that was given for free on epic store and felt exactly the same. the main story is so ass even though the premise is genius. the ending comes out of nowhere and it does feel like none of their stories really evolved.
we were supposed to have SP dlc but rockstar cut all plans after the online made gazillion dollars.

if anyone can beat gta 6, it's gta 5
imagine, just imagine if people don't migrate to the next one

They'll simply shut down online servers and force to migrate all the Online and FiveM sloppies.
Content creators will migrate because it's the next hot thing.

this would get violent without a doubt

You mean TakeJew did. One of the Housers talks about it.
They actually give good interviews, or used to. They didn't really hide that they made the kind of games they wanted to play themselves and that's why they sold well. It wasn't so much the money side that interested them in, which is also why they never sold the IP to GTA to be used as a HollyJew movie or whatever. Really the only thing holding them back from what they wanted to was TakeJew and no one can afford to buy them out of their contract with them. It's part of the reason that one left the company in the end. Look it up.
