Digital Foundry and its consequences have been a disaster for graphics fidelity
>>732282525They are just shills that can be bought off. If it wasnt them, it would just be some other group of ugly gay assholes.
it's ridiculous how they'll shill the ugliest game possible just because it uses modern tech which comes with more caveats and graphical bugs than the good old techniques

I just don't care that much about framerate and resolution. Obviously, I'm not a huge fan of the 20-30 fps 720p gameplay experience on the PS3, but if a game is genuinely good I can live with it. I agree that 4K and 60 - 120+ fps is always better, but I've been a console peasant my whole life, and when I was a kid, most 3d games I played were choppy and blurry. Developers should make their games run as smoothly as possible, but a good game doesn't stop being good just because it runs at 30 fps. People who refuse to play "unoptimized" games are ridiculous unless the game is genuinely broken and unplayable. Take Bloodborne as an example, it's a choppy experience because of uneven frametimes, but the it feels good to play and doesn't have noticeable input lag despite running at 25 - 30 fps. It looks good for its time, it plays well and it's a great game.Instead of waiting for a remaster or trying to emulate it at 60 fps, just fucking play it and enjoy it for what it is.
>>732286215You are making WAY too much sense for this board.
>>732282525nobody really watches these fags. most of their youtube videos don't even hit the 200k mark.
>>732282525it acts as good containment for people who care more about PC part discussion and theoretical benchmarks than actually playing games
>dudes offer a free service and tell you how a game will perform on various platforms and different hardware>this is somehow deplorable because they said something mean about the Switch at some point or somethingExplain yourselves.
>>732286482>>732287037PC parts, graphics and customization is gaming related hobby and a lot of people enjoy it, and there's nothing wrong with that. I just don't like how it's become the main talking point every time a new multiplatform game comes out. PC hobbyists/enthusiasts flood every discussion, and too much focus is put on framerates, resolution and stutter. A lot of threats turn into annoying shitflinging between AMD and Nvidia users, consoles, "poorfags", richfags etc.
>>732282525Both DF and Threat Interactive shit on UE5, albeit. They just disagree on what makes it bad.
>>732286215I'm a consolefag as well and I'm done with your mindset. I was done with it a gen ago. every game should have a performance mode in 9th fuckin gen. absolutely every game, even frikkin card games. I've burned my eyes enough since the ps1. your basic bitch "all that matters is that the game is good" argument is meaningless.
>>732282525>In this episode we compare a console version of a game compared to a pc version. After counting every pixel, we have discovered that the console version seems to be running at a lower resolution compared to the pc version. The game, using Unreal Engine 5, also seems to stutter on occasion. If you liked this video, remember to subscribe and ring the bell for future notifications.
