Which do you prefer in games, voice actors that can do 100 different voices or voice actors who do one voice but give a great performance?

I didn't like her in either game. I think she's mediocre and retarded, and it's gay how she overshadowed actually good performances like Renoir, Verso, Minthara and Laezel. Note I'm not saying this because I want to fuck any character in bg3 I find them all repulsive.
I'm fine with hearing the same voice actor across multiple games if they are good, but the english ones never are. I can't think of an actually good actor after 2009.

I dunno, in the past I would've said one voice, but I'm getting pretty sick of hearing Patrick Seitz in absolutely everything.Probably a VA with range, Troy Baker was insanely good back when he did weebshit.

Usually when you have someone who does lots of different voices, they're doing really exaggerated or cartoony ones which lack range and don't sound genuine. That shit is awful and I'd rather they just stuck to doing one voice really well. There's a few who can do multiple voices with a lot of depth and range and those are the peak VAs.

What really makes the voice acting appear so good is the natural dialogue + great body capture, which is exceptionally rare in vidya. But the voice acting itself wasn't anything brilliant, it was alright not bad, but nothing superb, just a nice performance. The entire game felt very, very human and realistic, which is rare in vidya, which is also why the voice acting appears so insane in return.

I will say though, in BG3, Withers' voice actor did a good job and I do think his character wouldn't have been as good had it not been for the voice acting.
